Very happy with our stay. Lovely mix of modern, old architecture and style. Would definitely stay again. Beaune was a fabulous little town that we enjoyed.

The apartment was exactly as pictured. I agree with another reviewer regarding the shower being possibly the best in France. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay.

We had a great experience staying at the apartment last summer. Great location, clean, good amenities, nice host. We would love to stay again!

We really enjoyed staying at this apartment, located in a beautiful old house, furnished with style, amazing kitchen and access to a yard in the back. Walking distance from center of Beaune. I would stay there again anytime.

This is a roomy apartment for 2. The location is a 6minute walk to the center of everything. The view from the kitchen and living-room windows is very lovely over the neighborhood gardens and the main church steeple. There is also a park with waterfowl very near by. There are stairs! Yes, I would stay again.

This place is absolutely incredible. We just did a 3 week tour of France and Italy, the stay here was by far the highlight. The unit is exceptionally well done, beautifully decorated, the renovation is incredible-especially the bathroom. The views are breathtaking, the entire area is amazing. We wish we would have stayed longer. Caroline was so responsive and helpful to work with. Very comfortable, hope we can come back some day.

We enjoyed our stay. The owners, Caroline and Max, were very attentive and responsive.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house so much. It was spotless, well-equipped, quiet, beautifully furnished, and reasonably priced. It was the perfect base for exploring Bourgogne, especially the lovely friendly town of Beaune. Thank you for sharing your hospitality with us!

We -- two couples -- found the convent flat to be superb in every way. The location couldn't be better for exploring Beaune and walking/biking to nearby vineyard towns. The large open-plan living/dining area provided plenty of space for us to spend time together, and the two bedrooms afforded privacy. The flat is outfitted with everything one could want, and it is furnished and decorated in a thoughtful, elegant and non-fussy manner. Lovely views from the windows, which offer a cross-breeze on summer nights. And of course there is the garden for lounging and an outdoor apero. Should we visit Beaune again, this will be our first choice. Thank you!

The property was a wonderful find! Just outside the beaune city center, it was a lovely place to relax, cook dinner, and enjoy the beautiful courtyard. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining/living area was perfect for a night in.

We had a wonderful long weekend. The apartment was a great base for exploring Beaune and the surrounding vineyards. We appreciated the tastefully designed and well equipped apartment. Perfect for a family of 4. Our children enjoyed the apartment, the garden and the close proximity to the park and playground. Thank you

We spent a long weekend in this wonderful apartment in Beaune. It is beautifully renovated, has a big garden and is in walking distance of the center. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

What a beautiful renovated floor of a former convent. Everything in its place with high ceilings and the traditional beamed ceiling. The kitchen has an incredible set of amenities; pots and pans and sharp knives made it easy to cook meals, and we loved the provided coffee and sugar. The Gigandet's were consummate hosts, responsive and kind, especially when we had a little trouble finding the entrance in the dark on the first night. If we're ever back in town, we will definitely reserve it again.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Sparkling clean, well cared for, modern conveniences, uncluttered, and, as my friend said, "Europe's best shower"! Great location. Hard to top this spacious and quiet place. Two flights of winding stairs and a lack of handrails may deter some.

Lovely apartment. Had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the garden. We travelled as a group of 5 and had an apartment each and had a fabulous time. Thanks for letting us stay

Fantastic property with a lovely yard for BBq and Fire pit, lovely walk into central Beaune which is only 10 mins away

We had a great week at the former convent - it's a short walk into the centre of beautiful Beaune, and there's a great outside space with chairs and loungers in the garden, shared with the apartment below. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat in occasionally and the short walk into Beaune allowed us to eat out easily too! It also had parking, which was important for us. Would highly recommend.

Staying at La Maison du Couvent was a restful experience where we were surrounded by simple beauty in each room. Every member of our family commented on the peacefulness of the residence, maybe tied to its history as a convent, but certainly attributable to the aesthetic design of the space. The colors of the walls of the bedrooms (a greenish blue and gray) somehow made you feel like you were a part of the sublime sky outside. We kept the updated windows, whose style tied in with the original architecture of the building, open in the afternoons and evenings, allowing us to hear the singing of nearby birds and the flowered scents of gardens that the apartment overlooked. In the communal spaces of the apartment, the clean lines of the kitchen and modern appliances invited us to cook, while the living room and dining area, decorated with subtle yellows and oranges, provided a perfect space for gathering as a family.
The central area of Beaune, including the historical hospital of the Hotel Dieu, were a short walk away from our front door. A close-by bike shop also awaited us, where we could rent electric bikes that took us through the surrounding vineyards and small villages of Burgandy.
If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful landing space in one of the best wine growing regions of the world, we can’t recommend La Maison de Couvent highly enough.

The apartment is spacious and attractive. The ols wooden beamed ceilings are gorgeous. It has a well equipped kitchen and beautiful bathroom with double sinks, lots of counter space and a fantastic shower. The location is very good, near a nice park and the vineyards and a short walk into the heart of tbe old town. It was very quiet during our entire stay, which included a weekend. The only negative was the weak and spotty wifi, but that wouldn’t keep me from staying here again. We had a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved our stay in Beaune! With our 8-month old in two, we were very happy. Beautiful apartment, perfectly furnished with everything necessary, very comfortable and an easy stroll to everything in the center of town. We will definitely stay here again.

This property is in a great location to Beaune!
It had everything we needed. Very nice King bed in master bedroom. Informative welcome and information book. The apartment was clean,, well lighted and open. Truly a bonus to have a clothes dryer too! Highly recommended! And we would stay here again!

I enjoyed the property quite a bit. It was really nice to have a full featured and well-furnished apartment in Beaune, and the location was ideal for walking to the city center and biking in the vineyards. I would stay there again.

Superb property with first rate finishes and amenities within walking distance from the historic center of Beaune.

What a beautiful place to spend a week in Burgundy! I can't say enough good things about this home - it is beautifully designed and even better than the pictures. The kitchen is highly impressive and the easy walk to Beaune made it the ideal location for our base in Burgundy. Max and Caroline were more than helpful and courteous. This is where we'll stay when we return to Beaune, without question!
4.9
Lovely private spacious pied a terre, a short walk from the center of town, but away from the crowds during the big Hospice Du Beaune weekend in November. Cozy and stunningly decorated. Caroline thought of everything to make this a magical space and stay. This was our first trip to Beaune and certainly will not be our last! I only hope this gem of a property has availability when we come back!

We had the best stay here. Comfortable, fully equipped, great location.

We had a wonderful week at Maison du Couvent and in Burgundy. The apartment is beautifully decorated and perfect for young children. It is extremely well located for seeing Beaune and the region. Caroline and Max were extremely helpful in their correspondence before our arrival and during our trip. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic time at the converted convent, it was perfect for two couples traveling together. We bbq'd and enjoyed many of our meals in the courtyard, and we could also walk to town for breakfast or dinner within 10 minutes. We took the bikes and road the bike trail through the vineyards, it was idyllic. The place was well stocked and so comfortable. The next time we are in Beaune, we plan to stay here without question!

We stayed at La Maison du Couvent, and had a great stay !
The convent is very nice decorated, with a warm atmosphere !
Caroline & Max have thought to any details you may need.
We will definitely come back in the future

If you are on the fence about booking this apartment - just do it! You won't regret it! We hesitated a bit because we didn't think we needed the larger second story unit with two bedrooms (the first floor unit was already booked), but it ended up being ideal for myself, my wife and our 3 month infant for our one week stay in Burgundy.
This unit is even better and more impressive than the pictures. After having stayed in some funky, bare bones places in Paris and Champagne, it was a total relief to stay in a home that was actually nicer than our own home in LA. It's the perfect blend of historic and modern. It's apparent that the renovation was done with meticulous care and attention to detail. There is fine interior design throughout, to the point that I commented that they had to have hired a designer for this - come to find out that Caroline, the host, works in real estate and historic design and renovations. It shows. There is nothing odd or funky like there is in most rentals; everything is modern, functional and high-end. There is artwork throughout, fine drapery and linens, industrial-chic lighting, a gorgeous and comfortable shower, and brand new appliances in the kitchen. The fridge, oven, microwave and cupboards are all in one modern, sleek unit in the wall. Everything is so clean and modern that we felt like we were the first guests to stay there. The place even smelled lovely when we arrived. The location was also ideal - super quiet at night but a very short walk to town in one direction or to a lovely park and vineyards in the other direction. The bed in the master was huge (king) and very, very firm. Beautiful wood block night stands were on each side of the bed. Sconces in the wall served as the bedside lights, and switches were at both bedsides and as you entered the room. Little details like that were consistent throughout - it was a place I'd love to live in. I also appreciated the comprehensive host book that included maps and myriad recommendations for the region. Caroline was gracious with her time and recommendations for us. This was just the perfect place to spend a week in Burgundy and I would love to return someday.

Everything was as described and shown in photos. Should be aware that you have to climb two flights of stairs to apartment. Great modern kitchen with everything you need. Beds are very comfortable.
4.9
Caroline's apartment was perfect. Very well furnished, nice appliances and all the comforts of home. Comfortable bed, great shower, quiet and well located. Park in tight courtyard or on the street. Easy walk to sights and restaurants in Beaune. Stayed for 5 nights of touring Burgundy. One of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. Hope to return someday!
