About this house rental
Owl's Roost
Welcome to Owl’s Roost. This private estate looks out over a pristine, mile-long pink-sand beach. Although totally secluded, Owl’s Roost is just a 5 minute walk down the beach from Pascale’s famous beachfront restaurant and bar. Governors Harbour, the main town on the island with other restaurants, bars, grocery stores, banks, gift shops, bakery and more, is five minutes away by car. From all the rooms in this house, the beach and ocean are everywhere. A new heated pool was completed in November 2022 with a marvelous view of our pink sand beach! You can see and hear the ocean as if you were standing on the beach. (There is a fee of $385 per week to heat the pool.)
PLEASE NOTE: WE LOVE CHILDREN, BUT OUR VERANDA AND STAIRS DOWN TO THE BACK YARD HAVE ONLY CABLE RAILINGS, AND ARE POTENTIAL FALL HAZARDS, SO WE REGRET THAT WE CAN'T HOST CHILDREN UNDER AGE 12.
Owl’s Roost consists of a large central living area and two wings containing bedrooms. The magnificent high-ceilinged great room features sweeping 180-degree views of the ocean. The sitting area is furnished with sofas and armchairs facing the sea. The dining area also enjoys ocean views and has seating for 6 to 8. There is an adjacent TV area as well.
The luxurious island kitchen is equipped with a Sub-Zero refrigerator, glass-top range, two wall ovens, dishwasher and microwave. It also enjoys an ocean view. The kitchen is very high end, fully functional but dated.
One wing of the house is occupied entirely by the enormous master suite, which features a king bed and an ocean view. The en suite bath has a walk-in shower, water closet, and double sinks. There is a half bath and a laundry room off of the hallway to this wing.
The second wing houses the two guest suites. It is under the same roof as the rest of the house, but does not connect internally, so you walk 10 feet across the veranda to access the guest suites. Each guest suite has a private entrance from the veranda, full ensuite bath with a walk-in shower, and a beautiful beach and ocean view. The bathrooms are older but well maintained. One suite has a king bed and the other twin beds. Please note, the twin beds cannot be converted to a king.
A broad veranda extends the full length of the house facing the sea, and wraps around to the front of the house as well. It is one of Owl’s Roosts most delightful features. Every room has a sliding door to the veranda. There is a grassy jeep track that passes between the house and the beach. It is almost never used and feels like part of your front yard. Our pristine beach is a mile long, wide and flat, with beautiful pinkish sand and the clearest water. It is well protected by a barrier reef so the surf is very gentle, excepting only when there is a storm out at sea. You will usually have the world-class beach to yourself.
Amenities at Owls Roost include AC throughout, WIFI, satellite TV., washer/dryer, books and games, private heated pool and backup generator.

Tropical Paradise
The house was spacious, clean and private the perfect getaway for us. The pool was fantastic heated and quality lounge chairs outside the pool and inside the view was spectacular with amazing palm tree landscaping just a beautiful property. The beach was just beautiful the sand soft and pink and you could walk a long way. Beware the no see ums torn us up 100’s of bites spray all of your skin!! We truly loved this place and we even saw 2 owls !! The rental car worked out fine and the liquor store had everything and the Burrows grocery store had enough to gets us through the week.restaurants Daddy Joes was good and 1648 was delicious. Spanish Wells wasn’t worth the trip but rented a golf cart and drove around and had lunch. We did a full day sail which we all enjoyed! So thank you owners for giving us the opportunity to rent your place you are blessed to have such a Special home on such a tranquil island.
The deal breaker for us was the North Eleuthera airport the arrival was fine but the Saturday departure was an F. It was a nightmare, what a mess it was like a Saturday Night live skit you couldn’t even imagine it you had to be there, let me be clear the individual employees were doing their jobs but the chaos, disorganized people, the crapped facility, no where to sit especially for the handicapped and elderly just a mess. It can not handle volume and should not be allowed to operate at over capacity it’s really dangerous.

Wonderful week!
Owls Roost made for a peaceful and restful vacation. The location is private and the pool was lovely. The house has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. If you do plan to cook, the boat comes in on Tuesdays and Fridays. So those are best days to shop, otherwise groceries could be limited. We ate out a few nights. Pascals is a five minute walk down the beach, and 1648 at French Leave Resort is a five minute drive.
The only complaint I had is the beds in the bedroom with twins. I could not sleep the first night as the beds are old and hard as rocks. I used cushions from the chairs to put on the bed in order to sleep. However, that should be remedied soon. I told the owner, and she has ordered a topper for those beds. My sisters, told me the beds in the other bedrooms were quite comfortable.
There has been erosion to the beach and we had to walk a ways to find a path down, but when the ground keeper came, he immediately put a ladder up for us, so we cold climb down to the beach right by the house. He even opened some coconuts for us, which are all around the property.
The most disturbing thing for me was the trash washing up on the beach. This of course, has nothing to do with the house, just sad to see.
The beach is very beautiful otherwise. We walked everyday at low tide. The water was warm, and waves gentle to play in.
We would definitely go back, and highly recommend this property. It is in need of some TLC, but for those who love peace and quiet, it is perfect!

Amazing in all ways....
Some may say the place is "dated", but lets get that out of the way. The place has more "aura" per square foot than most homes you will ever be in. The beach is perfect, the home setup is perfect, the proximity to Governors is great, its a perfect semi private getaway for 1-3 couples. Not to be missed.

Beautiful Home, Grounds, and Ocean Views
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owl's Roost. The views from every window were amazing and were a inspiration throughout the day. The location and beach was very peaceful and provided great relaxation for our party of three couples. The unexpected beautiful grounds and flowering plants for a beach property were lovely and very well maintained.
The house was the most well equipped house we have ever stayed in through our many years of renting properties. The property offered all the comforts of home and the management company and rental agent were very helpful and professional and provided great insight to the island and the many activities available.
Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely come back and recommend Owl's Roost for a perfect vacation!

Perfect Spot on Eleuthera
This was our first trip to Eleuthera and this house was the perfect location fo us. As far as the house goes, it has everything that you could need. Fully stocked kitchen. Very large and roomy with lots of seating areas. Beds were comfortable. But the outside is what steals the show. You feel like you're at a very upscale resort because of the beautiful landscaping. The deck area and chairs to watch the sunrise and the stars at night were perfect. The pool was just wonderful. We could have stayed there without exploring any other areas of the island. I was worried about the beach being "across the road" but the road is really just a dirt path. Very easy walk to get to the beach. There was a lot of seaweed and debris but we found that on all of the beaches that we explored so it was maybe just a tide issue while we were there. It was honestly one of the best vacations I've had. Very positive experience with the property manager and we will definitely be back!

Owls Roost ⭐️⭐️⭐️+
Everything about our stay was perfect!! The icing on the cake for us was the location of this rental. Everyone involved was so kind and helpful. Pam @ Eleuthera Vacation Rentals was a rockstar. She’s always so quick to respond and never makes you feel like you’re bothering her. This house literally had everything we needed to make our stay super enjoyable!!! We cannot wait to come back!! Ohh and the pool is brand new!! The views from the deck and the pool are so incredibly breathtaking.

Great location, but definitely has some negatives
Positives: The house is in a perfect location and the pool was a significant plus. The great room has spectacular views. The house has all the extras you could imagine. I have never seen so many drawers and cabinets. The generator was great, especially with the outages. Property manager Delshire was great and worked extra to help.
Negatives: The beach access is not accessible which is a big game changer. Access is available by walking down the road a bit but not nearly as convenient as in front of your own house. We were told about a week before our trip the access was damaged by a storm and may be fixed in time. It appeared access had been gone for a while to us. I found the house very dusty and dingy. It is definitely outdated and could use some upgrades for sure - the carpet in the master bedroom is very gross, and the wall and carpet near one of the AC units were in terrible shape. Only one of the four TVs worked and the dishwasher was terrible.

Wonderful Vacation at Owl's Roost
We were a group of 3 couples and we had the most wonderful vacation at Owl's Roost. The house is beautiful and very well located. 50 steps from a beautiful private beach (not really private but we rarely see anyone) of pristine water. Fabulous! The house itself is very well maintained with a beautiful garden also very well maintained. If you like to cook or do some barbecue this is the place for you with a kitchen fully equipped with all you need (and more) as well as a brand new Weber Grill. The house is very well located as it is 5 mins car drive to Governours Harbour where you can do your shopping for grocery. We felt really taken care of by the owner's and the property manager Daniel that even complemented us with some delicious fresh fish for a wonderful dinner. Definitely a wonderful house and location. We had a wonderful time and there is nothing I can think of that missed out on our expectation. Quite on the contrary! We had a week of paradise at Owl's Roost!

Owls Roost
We had a fantastic time. The location was absolutely perfect the house was in immaculate condition, we couldn’t of asked for anything better.
We had a rental car and went to Spanish Wells, went swimming with the turtles snorkeled on the reef, visited the swimming pigs and even dove for lobster.
We did eat out a couple of times but for the most part we cooked in the house the kitchen is well equipped and previous guests have left seasonings and other condiments. We drove south to Tarpon Bay went to the fish dock and purchased grouper, lobster and conch. The only thing I think the house needed is a guest book so past guests can leave recommendations for future guests.

perfect
So wonderful for us--4 people. It looks like the pics. It is true the property's interiors are dated--its like time capsule in the best way. Everything is incredibly well maintained and clean. We did not use the pool but it is lovely.

Incredible
The home was amazing, the beach fantastic, the rental company fantastic. While the interior decor was "dated" it was in great condition and the views and location were spectacular. Dan, the property manager was extremely helpful, friendly and reliable. Thank you!

easter vacation
The house is fantastic and the view spectacular. A little old but very comfortable. The beach is very long, is on ocean side so the water is not calm but you can enjoy long walking. We had a dream vacation thanks also at this house.Strongly recommended
