Adding a couple days on the front of a Viking cruise, we spent a couple of days in Brasov. We prefer to stay close to downtown. I found Rossmarkt Haus on a popular hotel website. As is typically the case, finding a place to park can be quite difficult, so splurge for the optional private parking which is ~100 meters from the building, which also houses a restaurant. There are no elevators so you’ll be carrying your bags up one or two flights of stairs. We stayed in room #1, which had a big living room, separate bedroom, and a large bathroom. Wooden floors and windows overlooking the street, the living space was very comfortable. A mini-split unit covered the HVAC needs nicely. Breakfast is included, and is a choice between a hotel buffet across the street, or a la carte from the restaurant downstairs. We preferred the buffet. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay, and one that we’d recommend if you’re going to be in Brasov. See my other reviews (Ograda and Cucinino) for places to dine. Recommended

The location could NOT be better! The bathroom window in my room looked directly at the Black Church! Everything you want to see is easily-walkable. The room was perfect. Staff was lovely, too. I would recommend the breakfast from the restaurant downstairs - Figaro - over the buffet option across the street.

Fantastic location, we could see the Black Church from our bathroom window! Really quirky and cosy attic room with exposed beams. Great bathroom, and really nice touches like candy in the room. The host couldn't have been more helpful, in regular touch to ensure we could check in early, and with advice re breakfast etc. Highly recommend! Such good value.

Very nice room. The hotel only has 4 rooms, we didn’t know that, but it only added to the atmosphere of the city. A lovely room, that was very oldschool, but in a modern way. It was very clean, and the whole thing had an exclusive vibe. The hotel is located directly in middle of city centre, with restaurants and cafe’s whithin av fem meters. Will recomend this hotel to everyone

The host was an absolute delight to interact with; very friendly, responsive and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the history of the building and location was intriguing. Breakfast options offered are outstanding. Highly recommend!

Hotels have staff. This had a keypad and no one was there to greet us when we arrived. Room was nice but foam matress was awful. Its a shame that breakfast was factory food in a region rich with artisinal producers.

I had a wonderful stay at ROSSMARKT HAUS. The room was beautiful and immaculate and the bed was comfortable. The owner was so nice and so helpful! She answered all my questions and even though I asked a lot of things, she was always friendly. She even called nail salons to try to help me get a nail appointment. The location can’t be beat, right next to the Black Church.

The room was beautiful clean and perfect for resting for a short or even long stay. Eszter was amazing!!! She was really kind and helpful a lovely person. If you wanna have a perfect weekend or trip here is the spot for it. Breakfast options are quite nice btw.

It was a large space, with separate living area - more like an apartment than a hotel room, which was a pleasant surprise. Lots of delicious food recommendations, thanks to attentive host Noemi, with good communication. Great location in the centre of Brasov. Definitely recommend staying here.

Great place to stay! It’s clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and it is very close to the square. I think the only negative to the hotel is that it can get loud with the noises from outside. With that said, I would recommend ROSSMARKT to anyone!

Lovely renovated historical building with all up to date amenities. Super clean, bed comfy and excellent bathroom facilities. On the edge of the old town with all sights and eating options within walking distance. Loved our stay here.

The room was great with two single beds and a en-suite bathroom - really good shower. This is not your average Hilton! It is a very old building that has a few rooms and has massese of character. Eszter was really helpful and texted us details on parking. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

The properly is an historical building that was remodeled. We love the place, a lot of windows meaning plenty of light. The location is great, next to the Black church; closed to restaurants and walkable to the main attractions.Everything worked as expected and it was comfy. For information, it has no lift neither air conditioning, at least in our huge room but we didn’t needed because the temperature was excellent. The host Eszter was amazingly available and willing to fulfill our requests. The communication with her was easy and the replies fast. The booking includes the breakfast buffet which was very convenient and good. In general, our stay was perfect.

It is only 2 blocks from the bus station so it is very easy to get there by public transportation. Braşov is a must to visit and ROSSMARKT hotel is right on the main square, which is the main city attraction. The hotel is so pretty, very roomy and the staff was incredibly helpful with bookings, tours, suggestions. Absolute wonderful experience.

Our host was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations. The accommodation was beautifully designed with modern comforts while highlighting and preserving the historic aspects of the 500 year old building. Views on both sides of heritage buildings and the historic Black Church. Excellent food in the restaurant downstairs in same building

This is a wonderful and unique property! Eszter is kind and knowledgeable and synced up with me via email prior to check-in so the process would be seamless. The location is 10/10--RIGHT in the heart of old town and a minute walk from the square, yet it was still quiet enough at night. Room was beautiful and comfortable. The building was built in 1493 and has many tasteful and airy modern updates that complement the original woodwork of the building. Truly such a cool spot and we're so glad we stayed here in Braşov!
