Beautiful garden, nice hammocks, cute bungalows, good location to reach everything on the island, friendly staff
It gets very hot in the bungalows and there is no electricity from 6am to 1pm - in that time not even the fan works and you have to leave the bungalow. WiFi is very bad and unstable.

The cabanas look exactly like the pictures, there’s plenty of space to chill in hammocks and the staff is very friendly! The bed was comfortable and the cabana has everything you need.
No criticism because it’s written but be mindful there is no electricity between 6am and 1 pm, which meant for us waking up at 6.30 because it became too hot in the cabana because the fan stopped working. (Also no smoothies for breakfast).
Another thing to be mindful of is that it is located on quite the hill and its HOT so going in and out was a struggle.
It was a bit pricey for what we got, next time i’d rather stay next to the beach (Grace’s spot seemed cool).

Ideally situated about 15 minutes walk from the pangas and most shops and eateries. Due to its location on the side of a beautifully verdant hill you have a nice breeze both day and evening. Bungalows are comfortable including the beds.
The owners and volunteers are exceptional and did a nice job of making suggestions and creating a welcoming environment. Many thanks to Stephanie for cooking the delicious meals offered at the on-site restaurant and bar.
As most large hotels and corporate chains have scaled back room upkeep and housekeeping while a guest, it was a an unexpected and thoughtful touch to come back each day to see that someone refreshed the room.
Nothing at all to complain about. Just one suggestion: maybe a community tea kettle/warm water urn for much later in the evening should anyone want a cup prior to bed.

The service staff is fabulous and hotel is really clean. The room size is not big but worth of the price. It is located at mid hill of the island surrounded with all the mango and coconut tree. Only thing I dislike It is that 15-20 minutes walk from the town center where is boat dock is.
Distance to the town center

Koude douche, kleine kamer. Restaurant en tours zijn way-overpriced in vergelijking met elders op het eiland.

Sehr schöne Hütten in einem tollen Garten
Wäre toll, wenn das Frühstück früher verfügbar wäre

This place was dope yo. Super pretty property, really helpful and friendly hosts. Cute little cabanas. If I could be adopted as an adult child, leaving the adult child orphanage and rocking up to a place like this would totally be like one of those dream adult child adoption scenarios.
I wasn't adopted as an adult child.... but to be fair, I never really asked anyone. I bet they would've said yes. Totally my fault.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lighthouse for three nights and it was overall good. We were met by Stéphenie with fresh and cold coconut water. Without a doubt, Stéphanie was very charming and helpful, same as the other two male staff we met. Also, Stéphanie is a good cook.
It was my second time on this island (I had stayed at Ensueños 10 years ago) and I have to say I prefered this location. The place has a good ocean view to the east as is on a hillside in the middle of the island. It is a short walk to the dock, beaches, and bars for an easy night out.
There's no electricity from 6am-1pm everyday, and we quickly realized it wasnt possible to stay in the cabin too long because the fan on the ceiling was not blowing any air. I asked Stéphanie for another fan and she brought us a little but potent one that made our indoor stay tolerable during the night. The cabins could use at least one more window or shade from trees. The little window it has is not enough and there was no shade at all so we would leave the place very early everyday (it was hot already at 6am with the sun rising towards our cabin).
Even though Stéphanie was lovely, she could learn more about guest experience and details about the hotel. We encountered an uncomfortable situation when we realized we had to pay an extra 23% for food and drinks (6% for card use, 15% IVA and 2% "island tax"). We talked to the owner Naseem because Stéphanie couldnt explain properly, the menu had no prices nor information about taxes and we were mistakenly charged few dollars extra. We still dont understand why we we were charged a 2% island tax because this wasnt the case when we ate at other places like Yemaya, Tranquilo or Desideri. Naseem did offered us free drinks after this.
Also, on this last night we didnt have water in the bathroom so we had to use another cabin's bathroom, which was not difficult as we were the only guests of the hotel.

I loved the view, the food was delicious ( they have a farm with fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs ), the staff are wonderful, the proximity to the town ( 7 minute walk ) and its a lovely 20 minute walk to ‘Yemaya Reefs’ resort which has an excellent restaurant and gorgeous views over the Caribbean.
I had no light in my bathroom.

I really enjoyed the Yoga that was offered by a volunteer and the Food that was prepared by a volunteer.
the Hotel was located und the middle of the island.
you couldn’t refill your water and the mattress was quite hard. Better bring a flash light as the path to the Hotel gets quite dark at night.
Even though there was breakfast included, I got a bill with about 10 $ for coffee and juice. I didn’t eben ask for ist - it was offered to me.

Cute little cabins, private bathroom with towels
Breakfast not included but was really good
A bit far from the center but nothing too bad as we need to walk everywhere on the island
