Enjoyed the house, the king beds were very comfortable, the showers had plenty of hot water for long showers. I would recommend bringing shampoo and conditioner and body wash as the house does not provide a set for you. The black out curtains still allow some light but overall Great sleeping arrangements.

We loved our stay in Old Salem. The home is so cozy and beautiful. Having the restaurant in our backyard was a pleasant plus! Hosts are easy to reach and easy to work with. We toured Wake Forest while in Winston-Salem, and if our daughter chooses Wake, we will definitely be back.

In town for a wedding so we wanted to have a mix of things to do and be close to the venue and we succeeded when we picked this house!!
Everything about the house was as pictured and BETTER!! Claire was so responsive to our questions, the house was spotless, decor fabulous!
Plus the BBQ place around the corner was a bonus when we did not feel like cooking!!
Thank you for creating such a wonderful place! Next time we are in the area this will be where we rest and relax!!
BTW - I don't always give a 5 on everything!! :)

Love the location and it was absolutely spotless! One small note: the sofa shown is not a sleeper sofa, there’s a futon.

We had a very fun and comfortable stay. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed the restaurant next door. The only suggestion we have is an additional clothing rack and chest of drawers in the master bedroom.

We traveled for work and it was a little bit odd they didnt mention they had a bewery on the property and there is a band that plays on Th-Sat. They stopped by 9 so its not too bad. They also have fireworks.
The blinds in one of the bathrooms was a little bare so it kind of felt like a fishbowl.
They aslo did not have closet space to hang clothes which I found odd.
Other than that it was a cute little home. The property manager tried to help and was responsive.
Thanks.

From location to amenities this property was perfect for all our needs. A short walk to Olde Salem and an even quicker walk to East of Texas for some of the best Tex Mex. Next time we are in town this will be where we will stay.

This is our favorite property in Winston Salem. We’re here for dance at UNCSA several times a year and love this home and location. We’ll definitely choose it again for a future visit. It’s comfortable, clean, and the owner is very flexible and responsive. It was stocked with basic amenities that made our stay easier. We loved that it had off street parking, was in the back yard of East of Texas and easytalk (both adorable!), and it was quiet. Beds are comfy. Bathrooms are lovely. Great walking/running trails nearby.
Truly we felt very “at home” here.
Neither bedroom has a closet so come prepared for that if you typically rely on having one. It was not an issue for us.

We stayed here while my husband was having a major surgery at Wake Forest Baptist. The home has everything you need and is amazingly comfortable and cozy. The beds are dreamy, the kitchen well stocked and we appreciated the two living areas. The location is great too. We enjoyed having the yummy BBQ restaurant next door. We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this property while my husband was in the hospital. It was conveniently located and offered me amenities a hotel wouldn’t for a comparable price. My kids were able to rotate in and out. It made our difficult situation a little bit better. Additionally the host was very responsive to messages.

We absolutely loved our stay at this historical house! We came in for a Wake Forest game and it was wonderful because it was only 13 minutes from campus. The Tex-Mex restaurant in the backyard was absolutely fantastic. Don’t miss their breakfast biscuits. They had really fun live music in our backyard and Shut things down at a reasonable hour. It had all the modern luxuries with the charm of a 1910 house. Claire was very responsive and easy to communicate with. If I could give more than five stars I would.

Very clean home. Good coffee maker. Centrally located to many places. I recommend providing a chest of drawers in the master bedroom for clothes and different blinds in that bathroom because at night people outside can see right in when the light is on in the bathroom. Overall good time in Winston Salem.

Beautiful little house. No closets only one dresser
Not our cut of tea. Restaurant next door (owned by house owner) music started at 730am. People wandered in yard all night and early morning. It was not relaxing at all. Stayed one night and contacted owner and left. She was very gracious

We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, historic house. The location was fabulous. A two minute walk to a year round farmers market (every Sat.) as well as a restaurant and local brewery. Also, It is less than a 5 min drive from the Bowman Gray Stadium, "NASCAR's longest-running weekly race track" The owners were very prompt with responding to any questions I had. I will certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Winston-Salem area.

This place is very nice. Claire did a great job making us feel welcome. Very attentive. The restaurant next store has great food. Music can be a little loud at times, but after 10pm it is quiet. The area around the house is well kept and has a designated parking space for a busy area. I would stay here again.

Everything was great for our stay. House was very clean and well stocked with paper products. Front porch swings are a nice amenity. Enjoyed music from the bbq place next door one evening. Old Salem was very interesting. We enjoyed our visit!

Great place, very clean and well put together. This is a new property and with all new properties there are growing pains. Details are not necessary, but the responsiveness of the host to deal with and accommodate the guest is top notch. This property and host will quickly become a #1 stop for anyone going to Winston-Salem.
Thank you and the best of luck!

This weekend I moved my daughter out her freshman dorm at UNCSA and we stayed at this VRBO. We will definitely rent this lovely little home again when we travel to Winston Salem for college events.

Absolutely beautiful remodeled historic home. My daughter and I stayed here for the weekend. Claire was amazing. She was just a text away if we needed anything. Cleanliness is on the top of my list when staying away from home and this house was more than a 5 star. We throughly enjoyed our stay. This is by far one of the best homes I have rented, as we travel a lot with our girls. The attention to detail was spot on!!! Thanks again Claire for being awesome!!

We were hesitant to stay here at first because there were no reviews yet. But then noticed it was a newly renovated house and so took a chance. We sure are glad we did! There were no reviews because we were the first to stay after renovations! This is a beautiful house located in a prime location. Walking distance to food, brewery, shops, and Old Salem. We were in town for a show at LJVM and it was a short 10 min drive. The house is laid out perfectly for us (two couples) and we had some friends pop by and say hello and there was plenty of room to hang out and relax. The rooms are a good size with baskets and lots of little details that made staying here so easy. The bathrooms are large and very nice. The kitchen all updated and had everything we needed. Owner was super easy to get in touch with and very helpful. If we are ever in the area again we will for sure use this house again.
