About this house rental
A single family home with a beautiful yard in the heart of Winnipeg 's historic Wolseley neighborhood!!!
80 Chestnut St. is located a short walk away from local Wolseley shops and restaurants, such as Verde Juice Bar & Restaurant, Bonnie Day restaurant & daytime cafe, Tall Grass Bakery, Prairie Sky Books, Wolseley Wool shop, Organic Planet food store, and many convenience stores. Also located only two blocks west of Sherbrook Street and two blocks south of Portage Avenue, with lots more restaurants, coffee shops, bars, grocery and liquor & fine foods stores, and other amenities. In this neighbourhood there is no need to have a car, but if you do, there are two parking spaces in the backyard.
This is a comfortable home in a lively neighbourhood with peaceful and friendly people that are constantly out walking or riding their bikes. It's common to lounge and socialize in the front yard in Wolseley, chatting with neighbours out for a walk. The front yard features a fire pit area.
This property is set up for a wonderful vacation stay or a visit to Winnipeg, located only 10 -15 min (by car) away from the Winnipeg Airport (YWG). Your hosts, Kristin & Kelsey, live very close by - in the house next door - so we are here to help you out if you need assistance with the property or recommendations for local attractions and events during your stay.

Worked perfectly for us. And the property owners/manager were super friendly.

The first impression of the house was rather negative. Approach from the back lane gave view to a decrepit house with a backyard run wild. Once inside, however, the place was fine. The interior is renovated (with some work still in progress) , but retaining some of its antique charm. The kitchen was modern, clean, and well-supplied. But the windows were old and grotty, and could have been washed and gotten a paint job.
The listing specified three bedrooms, but there are really only two--there is a bed/sofa in the very large upstairs hall, but it offers no privacy. (This did not affect us, but would have been an inconvenience if our party had been larger.) The fussball table in the putative dining-room is rather weird. There is a small dining table in the living room overlooking the front patio, which is nice, but a long way from the kitchen.
The copious towels were very nice. The beds were a little soft, but still comfortable. The place was air-conditioned, but we could not find any controls. It actually got a bit cold during the night (from the AC, the weather was warm), and an extra blanket would have been welcome.
Wifi was available, but it seemed rather slow and very spotty. It kept disconnecting, requiring re-entry of the rather awkward password. I had to use my data plan at times, in spite of the wifi.

This Wolsey home is true to the listing. It was great for our family to stay here: location, beds, firepit, and parking.

We enjoyed our stay. As far as we are concerned, Wolseley is the best neighbourhood in Winnipeg. The decor of the house was in need of someone like me to perk it up, and the fooseball table in the dining room wasn't our cup of tea, but we loved the fire pit in the front of the house.

Clean, well stocked with little extras.
Open, easy communication.
Hope to book here the next time I am in Winnipeg!

This is probably the best rental I’ve ever stayed at. This house is centrally located, close to everything in one of the best neighbourhoods in the city.
The house itself could not have been better. Its incredibly clean, comfortable and stocked with every amenity needed. The kitchen has everything to cook any meal including the small cooking utensils, even some pantry staples.
The owners were incredibly friendly, responsive and accomodating.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to winnipeg.

Location and the property was perfect for my family. My oldest has food allergies, which makes it difficult to eat a breakfast buffet if we stayed at a hotel. By being able to have access to a full kitchen, he was able to enjoy his stay without any worries of not being able to find his safe for him to eat. We really enjoyed the fire pit out front.
Overall, we'd definitely stay again!

This is a quaint little house in a vibrant walkable neighborhood. Front yard fire pit is really nice! House is a bit rough around the edges (back porch which is the only entrance that is accessible with number lock is very rickety with uneven stairs, tiles are only partially finished in the kitchen), but it’s a lovely stay all the same. A bit small and only 2 bedrooms, with 3rd bed in an open loft. This is a good place to stay in beautiful Wolseley

We had a wonderful stay! Very clean and cozy spaces. Smooth check in and out. No excessive clean required upon checkout which was great. Loved the fire pit in the front! We’ll definitely stay again in the future!!

This house worked well for me and my husband, child, and parents. Owners have clearly done a lot to update the house. Plenty of space for five of us, great to have two bathrooms. Nice walkable neighborhood with local shops and a farmers market, conveniently located for many Winnipeg attractions. Thank you, we enjoyed our visit!

We loved our time at this house! So nice to visit with family and friends in the front yard.
If you're taller than 6' beware the doorway to the master bedroom ensuite. We hung a little white flag above the door to remind us to duck!
Hosts provided so many thoughtful extras.

The house worked very well for our family. Loved exploring the area. The back entry wasn't good. Hope that gets improved. Main floor pretty small. Loved all of the nice touches.

Very good spot to stay. Quiet and with the front yard chairs to enjoy our morning and afternoon coffee/cocktails. The backyard / entrance needs some care. Very accommodating and we enjoyed ourselves.

We enjoyed our stay! The owner was quick with communication and the check-in/out process was seamless. The biggest compliment that I can give is that my teen son went around the house commenting on all the unique aspects and charming characteristics. The bonfire out-front was a great way to wind down on our last night. Great location- VERY comfy beds- highly recommend!!
