About this house rental
Ebbingford Manor dates back some 850 years. Said to have the smallest chapel in England and once opened to the public, this manor now offers 2 delightfully romantic & interesting self-catering holiday lets. Both holiday lets cater for two people; one is the main section of the manor, so we call it Ebbingford Manor; the other is a smaller section of the manor which we have named Bay Cottage which you can also find on the 'HomeAway' site.

Our stay at Ebbingford Manor was amazing and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful place to stay in Bude. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the beaches and town but it is tucked away in a quiet area that feels private and serene.
One of the highlights of our stay was the sense of exclusivity and privacy. Despite its grandeur, the manor feels incredibly intimate, making it the perfect retreat for couples or anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
We are so happy to have chosen Ebbingford Manor for our stay in Bude and would definitely come back.

We have lovely memories of Ebbingford Manor🤗. Beautiful grounds, 5 mins walk to the beach, lido sea pool, coastal walk and the walk down the canal to The Weir which serves excellent food! Thank you to Gina, Jonathan & family for allowing us to stay in their home!

What a fantastic experience being able to spend a week a very old Manor House. We found it comfortable, cosy and enjoyed being able to sit in the garden.
Location couldn’t have been better, 5minute walk to a lovely beach, high street, restaurants and pubs. Host Gina and Jon were easily contactable and made us feel very welcome.

My daughter and I stayed over the Christmas week and had an amazing time. What a stunning property to spend time in. It was historic, warm, inviting and had all the amenities we needed. Our hosts were friendly and on hand with advice on where to find local restaurants and pubs. Bude is a lovely place to stay with everything you need from supermarkets to local artisan shops. We were not far from other lovely places to visit; Boscastle, Tintagel, Padstow and we found a quirky cinema not too far away. We hope to return in the future.

We have had a lovely stay at the Manor. Very accessible for exploring Cornwall and Devon. We were blessed with settled sunny weather. All the amenities in Bude are very close to the Manor and we were pleased to be able to walk to them. The only very slight negative is the lack of lighting in the carparking area and when returning at night it was pitch black and the terrain is a little uneven.

We've been here for the third time and still love it.

Quiet enough that you feel as if you in the country. Close enough to the beach and sea, only a 5 minute stroll. A lovely pub with fabulous food, 3 a minute amble away, left at the bottom of the driveway.
Really homely place to stay, Gina and Jon were fabulous as usual, letting us park and check in early.
I would really recommend Ebbingford, it’s the ideal place for beach/walking/relaxing holidays

Stayed in Bude over Christmas & couldn't wish for a better place:
only 10 min walk to a spectacular beach with its magical sunsets, short walk to the town centre with lovely cafes, outdoor shops etc, easy reach to stunning places like Tintagel, St Nectan's Glen, Dartmoor, Launceston and so on.
The accommodation was spotlesly clean, very cosy with big (easy to handle) fire place which was the icing on the cake in the evenings after coming back from long walks/trips. A very spacious accommodation gave a chance for my grown up Son to join me for few days (we brought up an air bed with us for the lounge)
as well as privacy for both when it was needed.
Gina & Jonathan are amazing attentive hosts and created a very welcoming atmosphere for our stay, arranged beautiful Christmas trees in the lounge & outside of the property which added a special and truly magical touch every night upon returning to the property.
Very friendly (yet, not intrusive) neighbours were such a great help, too. One picked up a parcel when were out, another one kindly arranged a separate set of keys when my Son accidentally, took the keys with him.
Will definitely return to the property myself as well as will recommend it to my friends.
Thank you very much for a magical time Gina & Jonathan!

Great value, even without the added bonus of tons of character.
A very special holiday home.

What a fabulous property. Very spacious, well equipped and a great experience in an old property, full of character. Check in was easy, and we were left to acquaint ourselves with our ‘home’ for the week. The location was absolutely perfect, 5 minutes from the centre of Bude on foot, 5 minutes to the beach. The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything you could need. We would definitely stay in the property again.

Having had to rebook twice because of Covid travel restrictions this was my partners getaway for her birthday from January and it didn't disappoint. (Phew!) Gina and Jonathan made everything super easy. The property is amazing, everything the pics promised. The location is perfect, literally no more than a 5 min walk to the canal, pub and a hotel with a bar and numerous places for a coffee along the canal. We wandered down the canal to Summerleaze Beach with its sea pool to watch the sun go down and picked up fish and chips from The Plaice.
Ebbingford Manor itself tho is set back from the road with the large grounds and so peaceful we heard no traffic while in bed.
Would most definately recommend and hope to come back again ourselves. C & H.

It all looked lovely on the website and it didn’t disappoint. The accommodation is so spacious for two people and the character and history of the place is amazing. The four poster bed adds additional charm and is very comfortable. We also found the information pack (supplied by the owners as PDF’s prior to arrival) very useful.
