Really great find

Really friendly staff. Good value. Right across the road from main train station and easy airport bus (but still quiet). Has fridge and TV with international channels. Clean. Comfortable

Clean, convenient location. Breakfast room at the top is a nice addition to see the city from a high spot.

I arrived at 11pm and I could not get into the lobby to check in with the code I had been provided, the glass door wouldn't open. There was a common corridor connecting to an adjacent hotel, and I went there to ask if they knew how to get inside. They said I was supposed to check in with them, and they sorted it out for me. However, there was NO indication whatsoever anywhere in the Metropol that I had to check in on the OTHER hotel to which they're connected. One more beer on me and I would've ended sleeping on the floor.

Clean and tidy hotel, next to the main train station. 5 min walk from city center. Comfortable bed. Good value for money

Not sure why hotel got 4 stars. Looks like main hotel is splited to 2 or 3 different hotels. Main hotel looks great but the rest deserve only 3 stars.

Exceptional

Bed was really comfy, shower hot and strong, and the wifi was great! The staff were really helpful and accommodating, and quick to respond to emails. The hotel is really well located; I got the bus from Basel-Mulhouse airport and it was a 2-minute walk from the stop outside the train station.

Room decent size and clean. Bathroom nice and clean. Compact but adequate for our use. Overall very satisfied with the hotel. No real gripes.

Breakfast may be a bit limited for some guests.Several days some items such as bacon and sausage and ham not replenished when we ate. It seemed fully stocked when we ate early with the business guests who ate early, but for leisure guests who ate later, on some days appeared not to be replenished. Most items typically cheese ham, salami, boiler eggs

I would not stay in the wing we stayed in again. Air conditioning was inadequate

Nice Lobby and breakfast area

Air conditioning was turned off. Thank goodness the front desk clerk was able to supply us with a portable room air conditioner. I would not have booked this room if I knew I had no control over the air conditioning controls. Room was in another older building. Long work to lobby.
