About this house rental
Steeped in history and old-world charm, Chatsworth Park is a 15-acre country estate with an iconic homestead dating back to the 1930s. Offering peace and tranquillity in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula's much-loved Balnarring Village, this character-filled residence provides comfortable coastal accommodation for groups of up to 9 people just a 5-minute stroll to village shops and restaurants and a 4-minute drive to the beach.
THE SPACE
Beyond a gated driveway and signature date palm with resident alpacas, the accommodation is brimming with charm with a soaring vaulted ceiling, polished timber flooring, padded bench seating, bay windows and a fireplace in a stacked-stone surround.
Delivering picturesque views of the countryside and resident sheep and alpacas, the home offers 2 spacious living rooms with comfy sofas and flatscreen TVs, a 10-seater dining zone and a country kitchen with oven, dishwasher, fridges, gas cooktop, microwave, coffee pod machine, kettle and toaster.
Outside, a deluxe outdoor entertaining area with a comfy alfresco dining suite, braziers, ceiling fans, and an expansive BBQ kitchen with multiple grills, a vast stone countertop, and an outdoor sink is superbly set up for fabulous feasts as the kids explore the gorgeous gardens before unwinding around the firepit for roasting marshmallows beneath the stars.
A king bedroom, a second bedroom with a queen bed, a third bedroom with a double bed, and a fourth bedroom with a triage bunk bed (1 x double + 1 x single bed) are comfortably serviced by a spa ensuite, a full second bathroom with bathtub, two powder rooms, hydronic heating, and split-system air conditioning.
Surrounded by wineries, surf breaks, yachting facilities, hiking trails and other beachside delights, the historic home offers a unique and indulgent coastal getaway for large groups just over an hour from Melbourne.

We booked here due to the expanse of land around it, so we had the feeling of being in the country. The sheep and llamas added to the ambience. The house is interesting, a little tired in parts but suited us very well with two living rooms, zoned bedrooms (the main was at one end of the house). The bed linen and towels were good quality. It was a good house for a large group as there were 4 toilets, two bathrooms and excellent hydronic heating. We had to bring our own wood for the fire and coffee pods for the Nespresso which we thought could have been supplied. Overall, a lovely family weekend.
