***This is a family friendly neighborhood and my neighbors' well being is VERY IMPORTANT TO ME! Please be respectful of this and honor the quiet time of 10pm-6am. Absolutely no smoking or pets anywhere on the property. A fine will be assessed if this occurs.***
Other things to note:
Historic Hilton Village was built for shipyard workers during World War I to help build ships. The homes situated within historic Hilton Village were built between 1918 to 1920 and the majority still have many original features including hardwood floors, clawfoot tubs (mine was removed before I bought it), original windows and slate roofs. When opening and closing doors and windows and coming and going please remember the age of the home.

This was an adorable duplex. I loved everything about it!! Was walking distance to Hilton Village where we walked for ice cream. Walking distance to the fishing pier where we caught the sunset. The neighborhood was safe to run in!! The duplex itself was equipped with everything we needed. Kitchen was stocked with pots/pans and spices. The place was very clean! The fan in the bedrooms was about the coolest thing we have ever seen!!! Very quiet neighborhood which was important since we had to wake up early for a swim meet. Will definitely be booking again if we are in town for a swim meet in the future!!

The house will remind you of the times you visited your grandparents. You will definitely feel you have travelled back into time in this well-appointed house.
Dana was also amazing. We had a little hiccup with our reservation and Dana quickly responded with a couple of options to make sure our stay went on without a hitch.

A lovely and well kept home to have while visiting family. Everything needed for extended stay we had available. The area offered so many things to do, it was truly enjoyable.

The house was a perfect size for our family of 6. It has a lot of character and is tastefully decorated. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It was also a perfect location to run the Newport News marathon and have our family watch us run. We enjoyed our short stay.

Great stay, we will be back. We came down for a sports weekend and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The hostess was responsive and made accommodated our changing schedule with no issue. The house was clean, perfectly located, and outfitted with everything one (or a few) would need for a short or longer duration stay. We will look to stay here again in the near future.

The description said 2bedroom/2’bathrooms but the home has 1 full bath and 1 very very small half bath right off the kitchen with no bathroom fan.
Kitchen was minimally equipped .. parking is extremely limited on the street only.

Great location for visiting my son at CNU. It’s not super big, but well laid out, thought out and very comfortable. Great value for the price!!

We had a great time and the house was perfect for us!

We (my mom, my daughter and myself) recently stayed at The Pearl in Hilton Village for a birthday getaway for my daughter. We stopped at the Virginia Aquarium (a must do for kids if you haven’t done so) and then stayed at this quaint lovely house in Hilton Village! We walked the streets, visited some shops and had an amazing dinner at Kismet! Indulge Bakery is a great sweet tooth fix as is the creamery! Dana, the owner was an amazing host and quickly responsive! This house was exactly what we were looking for. The neighborhood is beautiful with all the historic houses and VERY quiet at night (which we are used to). It is a very short drive to the Virginia zoo, Aquarium and Busch Gardens/Water country. There is a lot to do in the area to entertain littles and adults. By the way- I am obsessed with the bathroom tiles! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed for an overnight stay or longer! We will be returning on our next adventure! Thank you so much Dana for sharing your house with us!

It was a great stay at the Hilton Home. It is a well equipped little house, and perfect for our family of husband, wife, 6 year old, and 2 year old.
The kitchen had everything we needed including but not limited to: keurig machine with pods/tea, toaster, blender, immersion blender, nice glass large and small plates and bowls, salt and pepper, lite olive oil, pots and pans, dish soap, hand towels, scotch-brite pad, and a full set of kitchen knives.
The grass had been freshly mowed shortly before we arrived. There was absolutely no mustiness in the house. The water pressure in the upstairs bath was perfectly adequate.
The kids really loved all the toys in the house.
We would absolutely stay here again.
Thanks a bunch Dana!

The home is in a great location and is well maintained. The bed is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We enjoyed the stay.

This place was so charming and close to some great food/shopping. I would recommend a stay here.

We stayed at this property for four nights. Although it was clean the smell coming from the tiny bathroom off the kitchen was horrible. I am not sure if it smelled of mold or sewer, but it was hard to use that bathroom unless it was an emergency. The fans were dusty upstairs I had to wipe them down after my child’s allergies went haywire. The upstairs is very warm in comparison to the downstairs so you’re forced to use the fans, absolutely no water pressure in the upstairs shower, I honestly expected more for the price. Pretty disappointed.

We had a fabulous stay at the Pearl in Hilton Village. Although, we wished we had more time to explore the beautiful neighborhood, our time at the house was excellent. We had a small issue come up and Dana was very quick to respond and help us out. We look forward to a return visit.

Very good, but rental needs aired out. Musty smell when first entering, but overall very clean and well maintained.

Everything went very well from booking to check out. The home is very nice and in a great location. The only concern we had is when we first arrived, the yard and landscaping was in need of attention. The grass was quite high, probably at least a couple weeks without mowing. But, after walking inside, we realized everything would be fine. I would definitely stay again if needed.

Cute house, cute neighborhood with lots of little shops and restaurants nearby. Reasonable price for comfortable accommodations during our short, overnight trip with 3 kids.

Good location. Easy to access. Charming bright. Downstairs bathroom is very tight and so is the winding staircase to the second floor. May not be a good choice for those with mobility issues.
