Glad we found this small hotel. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the rooms quirky, but clean and well fitted out. The location is perfect for exploring the town and surrounding area

Very pleasant stay with friendly hosts

I had a great overnight stay at Les Secrets des Loges in Calais on my way from France to England. Everything was great and they had a convenient secure garage to store my motorcycle and the owners recommended a great seafood restaurant close to the waterfront.

My husband and I stayed here for almost a week. We enjoyed our stay with Laurent and Nathalie. They are wonderful hosts, very hospitable and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable. The house is full of charm. Breakfast ready every morning was so nice. We added on two dinners with our hosts. Those meals were a highlight of our trip. I highly recommend Les Secrets des Loges.

Lovely hotel enhanced by little touches such as eye masks at the bedside, air freshener in the toilet (which you never normally get in France) and a waste bin with separate compartments for recycling. Great breakfast with home made yoghurt and lovely fresh bread and croissants with assorted jams. The hosts were very warm and welcoming - wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Great hospitality, very comfortable and welcoming. Way above my expectations. Only regret is we didn’t take part in Table d’hôtel. This is a must stay in Calais.

Fantastic hotel a great room fantastic hosts amazing location

Quaint place with friendly owner(s). Quite a lot of traffic in the area, seems to be the case in all of Calais. I am sure there is more in mid summer.

The place was spotless and so convenient for the centre of calais

Nice and clean room, perfect location. Breakfast in the morning was nice too. The steps were a bit steep and we got complaints from the downstairs lodgers that we were making too much noise going up and down the steps.
Overall a very good stay with comfortable beds.

Honesty, 5 stars all around, and I am a hard marker . Very friendly host, a married couple. A hotel , but without a doubt that 100% feel of been invited and totally welcome into their home. Full of history and I love all the furniture and decorations.
We had what I can only describe as a boat room , give you a feeling you on a boat, it was fantastic.
(2 small faults, but I did not let this effect the 5 stars as it was such a delight to be there. The queen size bed is made up on two single beds and in middles there is definitely a clear separation, but wont matter if you just sleeping only. The other thing was the wash basin , two small and as the tap was rigid, affected the area space to wash. But that aside, 5 starts all around . I understand that each room has it own history and themes, so I certainly will be putting this place on top of my list next time I visit Calais.

Lovely B&B located in the street behind the grand old Theatre building - so it was easy to spot and close to the shuttle bus stop. Hosts Nathalie & Laurent were extremely helpful and welcoming. The heritage building has been fitted out perfectly with unique features in each room. Breakfast was good.

What a brilliant place. Fab, interesting, quirky room; friendly and helpful owners who speak better English than I speak French by a factor of 100; delicious Table d'Hote meal on the day I arrived; easy to park nearby and 10 mins away from the ferry terminal. I had a weekend break for a bit of shopping and sightseeing down the Opal Coast and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Friendly helpful couple, rather a chaotic check in which didn’t help us as we had driven a long way and we were very tired. But I think the recent storm had caused issues for them in the house.
Good advice on restaurant for evening meal. Very good breakfast . Bed a bit weird , mattress hung over a bit and a bit soft.

Could not recommend enough! Hosts were lovely and accommodating. The room we stayed in was lovely and clean. The whole house is stunning! The continental breakfast was perfect for us. Will look to stay here again if in Calais :)

Owners had clearly tried hard to provide a good stay. They spoke good English, provided gluten free food (as requested) and were friendly and helpful. They had decorated their home in an attractive and interesting way

Full of character relating to the history of lace making in Calais. Much care taken to be sustainable and thoughtful, innovative upcycling of furniture and obvious awareness of environmental issues

A delightful place with thoughtfully decorated rooms with locally inspired themes, and super-friendly, multi-lingual hosts. If you’re interested in aviation, ask if the Louis Blériot room is available.
We were really made very welcome and superbly fed by the excellent chef.

We stayed in the Tom Souville room on the top floor. A lot of thought had gone into decorating it to the theme of a famous Calais Corsair. Very quirky but in s tasteful way. Extremely comfortable and very clean. Really comfortable bed, quality bedding and great shower. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We wished we had booked the dinner as it smelled delicious. Breakfast good and catered for gluten free.
