Staff very friendly. There are only about 15 or so villas in this complex that has a pool and a bar/bistro. There is a shop and a nice restaurant only a walk away. Its a quite area and feels safe. This is our second time here and more than likely book here again. There is no problem hanging by the pool all day if you are waitibg for later flight as we were. We changed in the spotless bar before transfers arrived. Happy days!

We arrived at Prado Villas late at night so the welcome pack was a nice touch. The villa was lovely and had everything needed for a really comfortable stay, all very modern and clean. The pool and garden areas were beautiful couldn’t ask for any better. The staff were all very friendly and helpful accommodating all of our needs, even allowing us to check out later. The area was a 30 min stroll from the marina and nearest supermarket 10 mins, but taxis were reasonable approx 6 euros to marina. If you want to have a night in there was a snack bar with a variety of meals. Will definitely return here couldn’t have wished for a better holiday.

Nice quiet complex of only 18 apartments in groups of three. Well maintained grounds with plenty of space around each apartment. The apartment had been recently refurbished and was very good with excellent wifi. The staff were really nice and very helpful. Overall an excellent location and apartment.

A truly relaxing place to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Extremely well appointed villa in well laid out gardens and nice and warm, considering it's late January! Only down side of January is that so many local restaurants are closed for the 'season' but the excellent kitchen makes self catering a dream.
Really looking for criticism, the lighting in the en-suite was unfinished with bare wires in the ceiling but that was in no way a problem.
Advice: do have a hire car! It is only a era pleasant 30 minute walk to town but if you want a decent food shop you really need the 7 minute drive to the nearest hypermarket rather than the Intermarche or Spa which are closer.

Everything was very good except for the large patch of black mould on the wall in the bedroom and in the bathroom. Location good, property and surround very good.

Isabel on reception was an absolute treasure.Nothing was any trouble, always cheerful only to happy to help.the on site bistro was very good.Tracy was charming, efficient and pleasant.the Villa was very spacious and modern and very clean with maid service 3 times for the week we were there, and very well placed for all amenities.Pool was nice and clean with a "no towels left on lounges" rule which though we had plenty choice for loungers will be very good when in peak season. All in all a very nice relaxing well maintained place in a nice quiet residential area and one hopefully we will have the opportunity return to

Good for the price. When all villas are updated will be even better. More utensils and glasses needed.

The pool and bar have been improver recently, although the villas are a little tired. Staff were great and not too far from the vilamoura marina.

Had a lovely relaxing week at the villa. It was clean, spacious, had all the essentials needed, good shower with plenty of hot water. The pool was lovely, clean and never too cold. There were always plenty of sun loungers available. Although the villa was quite a walk from Vilamoura Marina it was in such a beautiful peaceful setting, with butterflies fluttering about, birds tweeting and flying around, just perfect!! The staff were all very welcoming and helpful too.

Great accommodation, a little tired but very clean, comfortable and spacious. Beautiful setting and well kept grounds. Very helpful staff. Not too far from central Vilamoura but would recommend hiring a car.

Complex built in 60s.2 bedroom tariff villas are recently renovated and well equipped. One bedroom tariff villas are the 2 bedroom villas in their original state, which means the kitchen especially is in a dilapidated state, and the bedrooms and bathroom tired. However, the price reflects their condition and represents good value. Beautifully laid out site.

Perfect if you are looking for a relaxing break away. A bit of a walk to the nearest shops and the marina but taxis can always be found at the nearby hilton hotel. Villa was in great condition and
kept very clean and insect free. The reception staff are very friendly and super helpful. Would definitely return again in the future.

These bungalows are in a lovely setting/ gardens etc. The complex is quite far from the centre/marina in Vilamoura and requires a taxi ride (5-6 euros) each way, or a hire car. The surrounding area is all residential with no supermarkets/ coffee shops etc. within easy reach. This rather disappointed us as we like to have a coffee and "watch the world go by" mid morning, or pop to the local shop for fresh rolls each day.
On average it cost us 12-14 euro per return trip to the marina each evening to eat out/ collect food supplies.
The reception staff were pleasant and helpful although reception is only open 09.00-13.00 and 14.00-18.00 Monday to Friday. The maid service is twice weekly, but I only had clean sheets once in 14 days and towels get changed twice a week.
The bungalow we had was ok, a bit tired and a few fittings were in need of repair. It was however very clean and had the basics for a holiday. (there were the usual Ants which were seen off with a spray, and a good few cats who were always on the look out for an open door!)
For the price it was as good as you could expect and very peaceful in a nice area, but a bit further from amenities than we would have preferred.

Really impressed with these villas. They were very spacious and really clean! Yes they are dated but that really did not bother us. They did not have the free parasols as advertised but that is our only complaint. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely place to stay, so peaceful and quiet. Only moan I would have is the rooms all need a bit of updating but other than that great place especially for young children as very quiet. Loved the location and the whole layout of the villas. The pool could do with heating but my son didn't mind. Definately go back there again.

no one was there to meet us on arrival, the key was left under the front door matt. the postcode was wrong and set us on a wild goose chase trying to find the appartments. the reception desk was not very knowledgeable of the local area. The path way to the appartment was shocking and dangerous. There was building work going on from 7am with building blocks and conreate mixers on the road outside. The sprinkerlers goin off at 1am and 7am right outside the bedroom windows. The cleaners was the only part of the service that was up to standards of a 4* appartment.

Just back from our second stay at Prado Villas this year. These Villas are located in a very quiet area just outside the main resort of Vilamora. The Villas are spacious, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the staff couldn't be more helpful. A car would be almost essential to enable visting the surrounding resorts but we just hire push bikes and meander down to the Marina which has everything you could want in the way of bars, shops and restaurants. The local supermarket is a bit of a walk if carrying lots of shopping and has limited choice but there is a bigger supermarket nearer the Marina. Would recommend Prado Villas if you are looking for a few days chilling out by the pool in the sun. There waas no bar or cafe open on site in April or September but you can go to their sister site, Prado Do Golf, on the other side of the golf course and this has a pool, bistro and bar and is more lively! We will be returning to Prado Villas as often as possible but it might not be what everyone is looking for in a holiday location.

we like the fact that there is no bar or bistro on site its quiet. very good value for money all the staff have been there for at least as long as we have been going there its our 4th visit and will not be our last

The villas are tired and worn and could do with a facelift. The furniture could do with being replaced, to make your stay more comfortable.

this is a good place to stay if you like quiet and few amenities. You need a car because the store is too far too walk. Pool is nice. You are free to lounge around and enjoy the great weather and sunshine.

This was our second summer at Prado Villas and we would go again. We have reccommended it to family and friends who have stay there, and all agree it is very good value. The villas are a great size for families, and the pool area is great (though the deep end could have better/clearer markings)All the staff are very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to accommodate, (they speak great english, which is good, as my portugese is very limited!!)We really enjoyed our stay.

Prado Villas in Vilamoura are about 30 mins drive from Faro airport. Our flight was delayed by 3 hours, but the reception staff organised a taxi, and left a welcome pack for us at Reception. Details were clear, making the late arrival far less traumatic! Throughout the stay, staff were friendly and helpful. The villas surround a good-sized pool, around which there was always enough room for everyone to get a sun lounger (more sun shades would have been nice). It never got too busy there, and all the people we met were very friendly. A problem with Prado Villas is that they are too far away from Vilamoura Marina and the beach to walk (at least not in 30+ degrees...). This makes it very peaceful, but, unless you fork out for a hire car, you're dependent on taxis. These were variable! The airport taxis were very reliable, though taxis booked to take you into town were often 30 mins late, if not more. Once into Vilamoura, there are plenty of places to eat and drink - definitely a vibrant place for a night out. The villas themselves were a good size with well-equipped kitchens. The main problem here was heat. There were no fans (and certainly no air-conditioning), so sleeping at night was uncomfortable. The addition of fans or A/C would be VERY beneficial to otherwise comfortable villas. So, all in all a good place to stay, but don't expect to do much more than poolside sunbathing unless you hire a car. And perhaps invest in some fans for nighttime!!

The best thing is the weather, great for sun bathing. the worst thing is the lack of authority. The Villa complex is pretty much unmaned, if you arrive in Portugal after 6 your on your own. The taxis in Faro dont know where the complex is and you need to spend a few hours looking for it. It needs a litle mainanance as well but all in all its great and I will be going back next year.

Hotel is brilliant - really clean. Quite a walk from the Marina so might want to hire a bike or car.
4.0 / 10.0
This is a clean and comfortable place to stay. We had a two bedroom villa for just me and my husband so lots of space. There was a problem with ants in the kitchen. All in all though very good value for money, peaceful location during the day but still close to the marina and nightlife if you want some fun.

Lady who runs the place is very nice. The villa was quite large and clean, but... Talk about dated. This would have looked old 30 years ago. Kitchen and Bathrooms desperately need updating. TV useless, about 4 channels, no satellite channels. Stank of smoke on arrival, needed a whole aerosol of air freshener to make it habitable. Bar and restaurant closed, nothing for several miles. 35 minutes walk into town. Pool is OK although not supervised. There is no air conditioning so it will be a nightmare in the summer. If the owners spent time modernising and opening the bar and restaurant, this would be a very exclusive resort. As it stands, it's a bit of a dump. I'm sure there are a lot better places to stay in Villamoura for the same money.

Really impressed with the villas. Nice rooms and a lovely service. A great place to stay with kids. Vilamoura is a great place to visit. Lots of places to eat and beautiful beaches.

We stayed at the Prado Villas for a week in April 2007. The villa was a great size and very well equipped and had a great shower with plenty of hot water. It also had heaters in every room which was fantastic as it was cold at night. The pool was freezing but maybe that would be relief during the hot summer months. The location was a quiet residential area which backed onto the golf course. There appeared to be small bar/bistro on the complex but it was closed during our stay. The walk to the marina took about 20 minutes and maybe 25-30 to the beach. Taxis back were plentiful from the rank behind Figos and cost about 3.60 euros. The resort itself is very modern and clean but not very traditional.
