We enjoyed our time here!!! Beautiful view !

My husband and I really enjoyed our little escape to loon camp. If you are looking to unplug (even though Wi-Fi is available, and surprisingly good!) and enjoy all that nature has to offer, you will want to stay here. We enjoyed it so much we rarely left.
One day we did visit Franconia Notch state park which was about an hour and a half away. It was well worth the ride. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a day trip.
At the camp, kayaks, a fishing boat, & canoe were provided. Remember to be mindful of wildlife while out sightseeing. We watched a bear rummaging around a beaver hut across the pond one mid-afternoon.
The camp has a fully stocked kitchen and provided everything needed for morning coffee & to prepare meals. Thankfully, we knew this by some other helpful reviews, and we packed light! Also, the outdoor shower and outdoor toilet were fine, and as described.
Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. We only needed to contact the owners once, and they responded right away.
I’m really glad we found this little hideaway.
I highly recommend.

My sons and I enjoyed peaceful nights and days during our stay at cabin on Miller Pond In Grantham, CT. We fished, kayaked, roasted marshmallows. I saved money by stopping at Hannaford grocery store by cooking burgers, breakfast etc in the cabin’s kitchen. I wish I hadn’t over-packed. The hosts offered many unexpected amenities. On one of the days during our stay, it was raining. My sons watched dvds and played chess, all left at cabin by host. We also got an afternoon pass to go swimming in indoor unground pool at Dan and Kathleen Hogan Sports Center in Nee London NH. I recommend the stay! Very peaceful

My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing 3 night stay. I suggest more than 3 nights we wish we had another night after settling in and it feeling like home.
The pond is perfect for sight seeing. Perfect spot for our dog to be off leash and enjoying the outdoors. We would recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys a little rustic camping and a quiet place away

This is a quiet, rustic pond-side cabin with great kayaking and superb hiking trails. Lots of wild life. The owners were pleasant to deal with. The kitchen is well stocked and there is really everything one would need to stay there.

The hosts were wonderful. The cabin had plenty of amenities for people who really love nature. Different types of boating choices to wander the pristine large pond. The bed was comfortable. Great deck where we spent most of our time vs inside because of the view & the birds. The only BR is outside. Shower is open air outside & the composite toilet is in a small shed but clean.
If your children will be happy with dvd movies, books, exploring the woods they will love it. Smart phones work just great.
We found plenty to do in the area.

Absolutely spectacular. If you are looking for something quiet on the lake, this is the place for you. We had a great time kayaking and using the electric-powered boat (and fishing), playing board games. The place was nicely equipped. Very clean.
FYI, Verizon works well at the house. We would recommend staying.

We had booked our stay for 4 nights but unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a ill family member that we needed to get to.
We did not get to use all the fun stuff that we had planned so we can't personally review that. I can say, if you want to be in the woods to relax on a pond, this is your place. We want to rebook again next year and hope to stay. The hosts were extremely helpful even though we did not meet them in person and she made us feel very comfortable even though we were running late and had to leave in a whirl win.

We had a great time in this unusual cabin. The property is on a steep hill, but the owners are conscientious and helpful, and have made it as easy as possible to go up and down with steps and handholds. The information they provide includes a map of the delightful trails at Sherwood Forest, walking distance from the camp. Use the Trail Finder website, which adds useful information. The maps in the cabin and at the site do not include all the trails.

This is a great location on a peaceful pond. I found it very relaxing and we all enjoyed being out on the water! Brad and Linda are wonderful and most accommodating. I really appreciated the plethora of boats they gave us use of and extra toiletries they keep on hand… They were even so kind as to meet me with a few items we had left behind, very nice of them!! I enjoyed the privacy of this location. It was nice not being on top of your neighbors so to speak, which is common when your on the water and we loved being able to bring our dogs with us. The walking paths across the pond and also in the local park were a great asset. We left some unexplored and would definitely consider returning. :)

The cabin was in a great location, and it seemed like we had our own private lake for a week. Everything we needed as well as lagniappe was there. We would definitely recommend!

Very nice, quiet, private cabin overlooking the pond below. Great place to get away from the daily grind to relax and unwind. Good fishing right of the dock and an amazing hiking area exactly 0.6 miles from the camp. Mr and Mrs Lane were great hosts. Gave me the grand tour when I arrived and made themselves available should I need something. Definitely recommended.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay with her two dogs for the few nights we were there! The pond is beautiful and relaxing; we enjoyed canoeing, using the paddle boat, sitting around a campfire, playing scrabble in the evening, and exploring the area around the pond! We found lots of blueberries and even a Porcini mushroom we cooked and put on our sausage! Be fore-warned however, the pond isn't the nicest place to swim as the shallow areas have lots of leeches in them!! The dogs swam and were not bit but we were too creeped out to go for a swim. Also, you should be aware that the composting toilet isn't the most pleasant of smells and you can occasionally catch a wiff of it as the breeze rolls in. Overall a fun stay though! Thank you for having us!

Overall it was a fun relaxing stay. The only thing I wished we knew a head of time was how bad the leaches were. We had 2 young boys who had anticipated swimming. Ince we arrived we were told that we couldn't swim because of the leaches. I have never seen so many leaches in the water before. There were close beaches, but we planned on just staying there. We tried using the kayak but as soon as some water entered so did a leach. It was super quiet and there was an a/c in the bedroom. The board games were great on the rainy day. Wed never used a compost toilet before, but it was clean, easy to use, and had very little smell.

Wonderful location for anyone with basic needs looking for adventure and pure relaxation. Boating and fishing are great and very private. Outdoor shower is a treat.
