Perfect for us. I block from church for wedding. Very comfortable for all. Owner very responsive.

Only about a 25 minute drive to the Toyota amphitheater. Great out door furniture for socializing and eating. Lots of room in this home. We had a pleasant stay.

Insects, that appeared to be carpet beetle worms made their presence known all over the walls, counters and bedding of the upstairs bedrooms on Sunday morning, May 5, 2024. My family, residing in the upstairs bedrooms left the property 2 days early out of disgust. I have photos of the insects. Sixto Clara, property overseer, without requesting the photos denied the possibility of the insects by stating (paraphrasing) that carpets could only be found in the living room.
Additionally, the property is stocked with nonoperational appliances:
1. There is no combination of letters, capitalized or lower case that will enable the WiFi. It is non-operational;
2. The refrigerator ice machine is inoperable; and,
3. The small front burner of the stove is inoperable.
Backyard safety issues:
a. The propane hose to the tank is hooked up dangerously wrong (picture taken);
b. No handrail exists on the back porch steps (picture taken); and,
c. Hardware, such as metal/wood screws found all over the ground where people commonly walk (picture taken).
Other issues:
i.) Wash cloths had to be purchased because none were provided;
ii.) While a few coffee pods were provided, cream and sugar had to be purchased;
iiI.) A pancake griddle had to be purchased (and by mistake was left there);
iv.) hand soap had to be purchased for the upstairs bath; and,
v.) There is no screen on the front bedroom window.
Staying at Clara House was a total loser.

Very home like feeling and close to places we needed to be

Cute 2 story home with comfortable beds and well functioning kitchen.

The house was clean, updated and huge backyard. Secure gated area to park was nice. Would stay again.

The property was very nice. Curb appeal was average, a very unassuming home. But once you entered the decor and amenities did not dissapoint. Everything is clean and updated. The beds and couch are super comfortable, could neflix there all day. The shining star was the amazing backyard with gazibo and fireplace. Plenty seating areas, bbq, drinkcooler and solar lighting throughout to set the mood. Given a longer stay and more free time it would be a great place to lounge or entertain. On the downside the stairs to the second floor are a bit narrow and steep. Additionally, it should not be listed as 4 bedrooms as there are only 3 bedrooms. The "4th" bedroom is an alcove with a bed within one of the upper rooms. That being said we were very pleased with the property and would use it again.

Just loved the location. So close to the river and our church we were visiting. We will be back. Very nice people for sure.

The place was very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen were very nicely remodeled. The problem comes mostly with the bedrooms. Two of the rooms are very nice and larger. But the listing said 4 bedrooms. That us not the case. The third room has one double and two single beds. One single bed is pushed into some sort of cubby hole with a sheet up to pretend it is another bedroom. Sorry! No its not. If we had 4 couples yry to share this rental i would have been very angry. Thankfully we had a few teenagers that dont complain and were willing to share the "room". I think some of the pictures were updated after i reserved it but i didn't go back to look at the pictures till we checked in so IDK. Also the upstairs smelled really bad. We wouldn't stay again. Sorry i dont usually take the time to write reviews but the false advertising really bothered us. If it was clear what we were getting i would be fine if i wanted a 3 bedroom place.

Clara House is a nice house, well furnished, but there were some broken tiles. Beware of the top step, it’s steep and could be a slipping hazard. The beds were comfy, but no extra blankets. There were multiple different types of pillows. The fans and AC worked great. Backyard was nicely laid out with 4 separate seating areas, but they didn't want parties in the backyard that was set up to seat at least 20, so I’m not sure what that was about? The water pressure upstairs was low, but downstairs was OK, and the water took a long time to warm up, but once it was hot, it was hot. The kitchen was well stocked with dish ware, utensils, pots and pans, and appliances. There were plenty of towels. The house had a lot of charm, crown moulding, medallions that the ceiling fans hung from, throw pillows in the couch. The upstairs shared room was a little strange. It had 1 full size bed and 2 twin beds, one of which was in an alcove that may have been a closet at one point? The room with the king size bed had a sleigh chaise lounge that was lovely and a large closet. The downstairs room with a full size bed had a large closet and desk with a mirror to sit and get ready for the day. Clara House comfortably fit our party of 5. It wasn’t far from Sacramento and the downtown area there, near shopping in Yuba and close enough to go visit my family that lives in Marysville, since we were there for a family reunion. Maria was quick to respond to texts and answer questions. I’d stay there again.
