The house had everything we needed and Melissa was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

This was a home run for our group of friends. Loved water access and many options for places to gather. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked and we got to take advantage of the EV charging which was a big plus

The property is well-maintained with everything we could have needed. The communication with the owner was exemplary. We had a wonderful time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at this property. It is clean and well stocked. Can find shellfish in back when tide is low, easy to kayak. Low key activities nearby.
WiFi worked well for my daughter who needed to work online. It can get a little loud with cars passing by for the rooms that face the road but overall wonderful stay!

Beautiful setting and great communication from host who has thought of everything you might need for your stay. Our family had a wonderful time visiting the area!

We had relatives come and visit from Germany and we wanted a house where we could all get together and enjoy a long weekend. The house was perfect. We enjoyed the view, water access and the house! All perfect!

My sister and I took our four young boys to the canal for 3 days. The house was spacious, clean and so well organized and had all the essentials one could need. The outdoor spaces were so inviting and perfect for taking in the array of weather we experienced in our short stay. Right below the house we searched for and collected enough mussels and oysters to generously feed our hungry party. Even though the house is right on the road, we felt secluded and tucked away and in our own little world. Melissa was very communicative and so helpful when we had questions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely canal vacation. We will certainly be back!!

We cannot say enough about this property and owner. First off, communication and friendliness of the owner is above and beyond. Melissa accomadated a special request without a second thought. She responded to our questions during our stay timely and friendly. The house is amazing. Clean, roomy and relaxing. We had 6 adults, 4 teenagers and 1 10 year old. There is so much space to get away on your own if you need it. The loaction and view is top of our list of places we have stayed. The canal and snow capped moutains are in clear view from almost everywhere including the amazing deck off the back of house and the hot tub. We all made use of the kayaks, swim equipment, putting green, hot tub fishing equipment, grill. The marinelife.....harbor seals every day, we were blessed with an orca showing up one day, harbor porpoise, a dolphin one day, otters a coupel days and a resident bald eagle that hung out in the tree over the deck most days. We ate oysters and clams off the beach every single day. We loved this house and it made the perfect family vacation. I would add pics if possible.

It was good all the way around. Clean, lots of extras, toys, kayaks, life jackets, games. Be careful of the road. Loved our stay.

This was an ideal place to gather with family members with young kids. The kids made ample use of the large playroom on the second floor and had great fun exploring the beach, looking for rocks and shells. The family could gather in various places, on the large deck spaces and in the living and dining rooms. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, and was roomy enough for several people to prepare meals simultaneously. We thoroughly enjoyed the new hot tub and some of us took the kayaks and the paddle board out for a spin.
Most of all we appreciated the welcoming spirit of Melissa, the host. She was very accommodating and flexible, particularly about things like checkout time (hard to get going with 4 kids aged 7 and under).
All the family remarked throughout the weekend what an ideal place this house was for our family gathering. We would be delighted to return in future.

We stayed for a long boys weekend and we had a great time. The house is right on the beach and we ate fresh oysters and clams right off the beach (season dependent of course). The covered deck with fire pit was great to sit around at night and have a glass of wine. The kitchen is well stocked with many useful things, knives, glasses, cookware, bowls, measuring cups, etc.
Melissa was great at communicating and making sure we had everything we need. We'll definitely be staying here again. One of the best locations I've stayed at!

From the moment we chose this property to check out, our experience was excellent. Communication with Melissa was wonderful - she is proactive and very responsive.
The property itself was immaculate and well stocked with anything and everything we needed. We all love to cook and found all the tools we needed including the outdoor grill.
For activities, we enjoyed the propane fire and real wood fire pits, we kayaked, found oysters and clams and played lot of games with the children in our group. Melissa gave us eating recommendations and we found a great place down the roach, "Hook and Fork."
We all agreed the bedrooms were lovely with comfy beds and bedding. The kids' room was perfection. Bathrooms all clean and nice - we were so pleased.
This location was really fun for us. Near my nephew's new home and close to Belfair where we stocked up on groceries and checked out the brewery. We highly recommend this property and thank Melissa for being so very gracious with our family!

We couldn't have asked for anything more at this wonderful Hood Canal retreat! Beautiful home, set right at the shore of the canal, wonderful views of the water and mountains. The amenities both inside and out provided enjoyment for all ages. The owner, Melissa, was amazing and so helpful with ideas for local events during our stay. We can't wait to come back!!

This is the first rental property I’ve stayed at that exceeded my expectations! The pictures don’t do the views justice. We went on a family trip in July, the water was a gorgeous blue color and the weather was perfect. Melissa was the best host, she messaged me when we arrived to make sure we didn’t need anything and also gave some recommendations on things to do/places to eat. It was very helpful! You can tell she has a knack for hospitality, every time we talked about needing something we’d open the pantry or the shed in the backyard and find what we were looking for. No detail was left out! Our family is already talking about planning the next trip here.

From the moment we made the reservation to the time we left, the owners communicated with us and offered suggestions along the way. First of all, the view is one like I have never seen. The pictures don’t do it justice. We enjoyed s’mores at night and coffee every morning. You can watch seals, otters and even an eagle who has a nest right above you. My older kids loved the kayaks and chilling in the water. I enjoyed shucking and eating oysters that are plentiful to say the least. We were close to the ferry to get to Seattle and also close to the falls and 2 huge mountains. So you are covered with whatever you want to do. We had all the amenities of home and also a bit more (my wife loved the 2 washers and dryers).
We came in all the way from Florida and had a absolutely amazing week of weather to top things off. Our family has stayed at many Rental homes in the past, but this one easily was the nicest and most equipped house we have had. When you get to stay a million dollar home with a million dollar view, it’s easy to see why we had such a great week!!! We will be back!!!!
