Parfait pour se plonger dans Old Town!

Nous avons été très bien accueilli. L’emplacement du logement est au cœur de Old Town. L’appartement était très propre et très agréable parfait pour comme point d’appui pour visiter la ville. Juste à côté se trouve un café pour prendre un petit déjeuner avant de commencer une belle journée de découverte.

Our stay was in a pleasant, central location but be prepared for early morning noise.

The property was clean and comfortable, and Fatima the hostess, was lovely. It was central for tourism.

It was in a noisy vicinity. The mattresses in the one bedroom were covered in thick, noisy plastic while the other bedroom was on the super noisy side of the apartment.

Accueil très chaleureux, Fatma est attentive au confort des passagers. La situation géographique est très bonne, à proximité de Fort Jesus et du très bon restaurant Foridhani.

C’est plutôt bruyant car le quartier est populaire.

A home away from home

Nice apartment in the heart of Old Town. Fatma, the host, was really helpful and kind to assist us with everything … from money exchange to organising milk for our daughter late in the evening, to recommendations on restaurants etc. Advice: Ask your driver to phone her to get directions, we used the gps and it was a little bit difficult to find it, but she can give instructions to the driver for an easy way to get there !!

Fantastische plek in een oud familiehuis.

De host Fatma was super hartelijk en vriendelijk. Ze helpt overal mee, vindt een tuktuk voor je en loopt even mee als je de weg kwijt bent. De locatie is perfect, op 200 meter van Fort Jesus en vlakbij een uitstekend restaurant aan het water. Je loopt zo de stad in.

Het huis is oud en dat zie je, maar alles is er. De douche is in dezelfde ruimte als het toilet. Het enige wat ontbreekt is warm water, maar door de warmte van de omgeving is dat ook eigenlijk geen probleem.

Absolutely perfect

The host (a former TRAVEL AGENT!) was absolutely delightful. Born and raised in the area, she knew everyone and everywhere. She made us feel right at home!

Wonderful stay

Very spacious and clean apartment near old town - definitely bigger than 15m. Fatma, the host, is a lovely and very helpful person. She helped us with arrangements for further travels and immediately responded to all our inquiries. Please have in mind that local drivers are cheating so the best way to get there is to ask Fatma for a driver. She will arrange someone in the regular price or even better that the one that you would get with Uber.

There is always something that could be better but generally, the attitude of the host made the stay a great experience.

A very personal stay with a swaheli family!

Great host and lovely apartment on historic centre, easy walk from Fort Jesus.

The location is great if you want a unique historic experience in the heart of the old town, surrounded by ancient meanderig roadways and within walking distance of Fort Jesus. We got lost trying to find it in the narrow roads, but the host Fatima was very helpful and came out to meet us. The apartment is very good, I wish we had longer than one night there to really relax and enjoy the place and area. It is noisy and busy with families close by, so dont book if this might bother you better not book here, but if you like family life and historic buildings, then this is the perfect choice. Fatima is so helpful, and got us a yaxi to the station the following morning. She followed up to check all was ok, so thank you Fatima for your great hosting!

Not getting lost, but thats our fault!! Difficult to take a car around the little lanes of the Old Town, and satnav was helpful but often too late or didnt realise the lane is too small for a car. Advice is to get to Fort Jesus and then it is one straight road from there. Cold shower only

This is in a great location with a wonderful, warm host and great value.

It was clean and just near the sea. It is in a classic part of Old Town so lots of character. We were warmly welcomed by Fatma. She gave a tour of the area so we felt comfortable with our surroundings. Anything we needed she was able to provide including transport and tips on restaurants.

It can be a little loud at night if the neighbours have their music on too high or people are driving tuk Tuks on the little road outside. There are no windows that close completely to shelter the noise. It is a new rental so still being built up but if something was missing such as bowls we just asked and she provided.

Good location in the old town very close to the famous Fort Jesus. The host was exceptional, very friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent communication with the host. The apartment is very spacious with 2 big rooms and a living room and kitchen.

Lovely welcome, comfortable unit and great cultural and historic experience

Very clean, spacious and comfortable unit positioned in the historic old town of Mombasa. Excellent position from which to explore the old town, with Fort Jesus and many restaurants within easy walking distance. It was lovely to relax in the quiet unit after being out and about. Our delightful host, Fatma, was very welcoming and looked after us very well providing lots of information about the old town.

Authentic Mombasa stay in the heart of old town !

Located in the old town of Mombasa the location is perfect to immerse yourself in the real life of Mombasa. The area is safe, and Fatma was very helpful. Her family lives in the upper floors of the building so someone is always there to receive us and welcome us with keys and information. The house has everything you might need for a stay including tea and coffee, hot water is there, wifi was working great. Fatma was easily reachable to answer any queries by whatsapp. There are fans in the bedrooms and living room. Our last day when we checked out she offered to keep our bags for us and when we returned to collect them her family welcomed us in their living room to wait for her to return and greet us in person. Such and amazing and wonderful experience!

Great place with alot of heritage and to spice it with the hospitality of the host it brought joy

If you love old town, then this is the place to stay. Nice, comfortable place in old town, Mombasa. Guests Hashim and Fatma are welcoming and hospitable.
