About this house rental

Summary:
This is the new Ocean Shores. We are Soquinomere.

Forget what you know about visiting the Washington Coast and stay at the Tide Pool Cabin, a Soquinomere Private Hotel on the dunes in downtown Ocean Shores. In its heyday Ocean Shores was called the “Richest little city” and was a destination for the wealthy and famous. This house was one of the first ever built in Ocean Shores in 1960 and has seen it all. Before Ocean Shores was founded, the area was home to fishermen, canneries and Native American tribes. This fusion of culture is celebrated in a contemporary upscale way throughout the design.

SOQUINOMERE PRIVATE HOTELS

We invite you to stay with us. Here’s to your extraordinary getaway.

The Space:
The house is primarily on the ground level, with a small secondary living room and balcony on the second floor.

The kitchen features a large farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and all the dishes, silverware, glassware, utensils and other equipment.

The dining room has space for six at the table with a shimmering capiz chandelier overhead.

The living room has an old-fashioned wood-burning fireplace, a 70” 4K TV and a large custom sofa that seats seven. The living room continues upstairs to the second floor living room and balcony overlooking the yard and sand dunes. The upstairs has a chaise lounge, corner chair and a sofa that pulls out into a full size bed.

The front porch has an outdoor sitting area with hanging raindrop chairs and other seating. The back porch has hanging chairs and a dining table.

The Tide Pool Cabin has two bedrooms downstairs and additional sleeping space upstairs:

- Bedroom One features one queen bed with an en suite bathroom.

- Bedroom Two features two queen beds and is just a couple steps away from the house’s grand bathroom.

- Upstairs Living Room features a sofa that pulls out into a full size bed.

The house has two bathrooms:

- The Master Bathroom is en suite to the Master Bedroom and contains a single vanity single shower and all-in-one washer/dryer.

- The Big Bathroom is shared by the Big Bedroom and the common areas of the house. The second bathroom is truly a showstopper. It features a heated floor, dual vanities and a massive 5’ x 5’ shower with dual shower heads.

The Neighborhood:
The Tide Pool Cabin is in an unbeatable location at the edge of downtown Ocean Shores. It’s situated directly on the undeveloped sand dunes nature preserve on the Pacific Ocean and is near the hotels, restaurants and shops and is across the street from the golf course. Please note: The beach in Ocean Shores is constantly expanding. Over the past 60+ years, since Ocean Shores was founded, the ocean has continued to gradually move farther away, creating large protected sand dunes between the hotels and the ocean. So, while this property is technically “ocean front” it’s probably more accurate to say it’s “dune front” these days. This can be good or bad depending on your perspective. These days it’s a bit of a walk to the ocean. However, it’s a beautiful stroll as you walk through the protected sand dunes. All hotels and houses at the beach in downtown Ocean Shores are the same distance from the ocean.

Location is close (walking distance) to the beach, groceries, shopping or restaurants. Home has plenty of room for our stay of 4 adults. We did cook on this trip and had everything we needed. The beds are memory foam and fairy comfortable. The shower had a quirky valve but we managed to make it work. All in all a great 2 day place to stay. We would definitely come back. Plus David came to our rescue when we were leaving and locked the doors with a cell phone still inside.

This place was top notch in literally every aspect. The property managers thought of everything, it felt like a cozy home away from home. We have stayed at Ocean Shores many times, and I was about to reserve a different property for almost $200 less than this one, but the reviews and pictures led me to try it... and I am glad I did! Trust me when I say.. you will not want to stay anywhere else, the had snacks ready, a welcome message, all kinds of things you might forget bringing to a beach, cozy places to sit and sleep, they checked in with us all throughout our stay...... amazing stay - thank you!!

Very nice place overall. A couple of areas of disappointment. The wonderful shower dual shower was a disappointment, due to low water pressure. The set up for shower was great, but one shower head had poor water flow, the other only fair. The other disappointment was the void of any chairs (of any sort) to sit in on the top deck. With all that said, we still enjoyed the place very much. The beds were very comfy, the linens were great and my grandkids loved the bathrobes! The location was convenient, quiet and full of wildlife viewings.

We couldn't have asked for anything better. Our family had an amazing time. All the spa like amenities made this home a relaxing escape. We will most definitely be staying again. Thank you David for a memorable experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is prime. Loved all the thoughtful touched. The poop bags for pets, the cookie mix and popcorn, the loofah, games, extra chairs. My suggestions would be is the trail to the beach really needs to be groomed back. The walk is really rough. The shower is beautiful, but the shower heads are horrible. Can you get better shower heads? Bring bug repellent, the mosquitoes are bad. Very cute place and great communication. Had a great time with family.

Who ever decorated this house is amazing. The heated bathroom floor made my morning showers extra special. The beds were great. The fresh flowers and Starbucks coffee really made us feel welcomed. Very clean.
