About this house rental
Summary:
This is the new Ocean Shores. We are Soquinomere.
Forget what you know about visiting the Washington Coast and stay at the Tide Pool Cabin, a Soquinomere Private Hotel on the dunes in downtown Ocean Shores. In its heyday Ocean Shores was called the “Richest little city” and was a destination for the wealthy and famous. This house was one of the first ever built in Ocean Shores in 1960 and has seen it all. Before Ocean Shores was founded, the area was home to fishermen, canneries and Native American tribes. This fusion of culture is celebrated in a contemporary upscale way throughout the design.

The Space:
The house is primarily on the ground level, with a small secondary living room and balcony on the second floor.
The kitchen features a large farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and all the dishes, silverware, glassware, utensils and other equipment.
The dining room has space for six at the table with a shimmering capiz chandelier overhead.
The living room has an old-fashioned wood-burning fireplace, a 70” 4K TV and a large custom sofa that seats seven. The living room continues upstairs to the second floor living room and balcony overlooking the yard and sand dunes. The upstairs has a chaise lounge, corner chair and a sofa that pulls out into a full size bed.
The front porch has an outdoor sitting area with hanging raindrop chairs and other seating. The back porch has hanging chairs and a dining table.
The Tide Pool Cabin has two bedrooms downstairs and additional sleeping space upstairs:
- Bedroom One features one queen bed with an en suite bathroom.
- Bedroom Two features two queen beds and is just a couple steps away from the house’s grand bathroom.
- Upstairs Living Room features a sofa that pulls out into a full size bed.
The house has two bathrooms:
- The Master Bathroom is en suite to the Master Bedroom and contains a single vanity single shower and all-in-one washer/dryer.
- The Big Bathroom is shared by the Big Bedroom and the common areas of the house. The second bathroom is truly a showstopper. It features a heated floor, dual vanities and a massive 5’ x 5’ shower with dual shower heads.
The Neighborhood:
The Tide Pool Cabin is in an unbeatable location at the edge of downtown Ocean Shores. It’s situated directly on the undeveloped sand dunes nature preserve on the Pacific Ocean and is near the hotels, restaurants and shops and is across the street from the golf course. Please note: The beach in Ocean Shores is constantly expanding. Over the past 60+ years, since Ocean Shores was founded, the ocean has continued to gradually move farther away, creating large protected sand dunes between the hotels and the ocean. So, while this property is technically “ocean front” it’s probably more accurate to say it’s “dune front” these days. This can be good or bad depending on your perspective. These days it’s a bit of a walk to the ocean. However, it’s a beautiful stroll as you walk through the protected sand dunes. All hotels and houses at the beach in downtown Ocean Shores are the same distance from the ocean.

This place is wonderful! The goats made our stay extra special and we absolutely loved the house. Plenty of room and amenities, great for a family trip!

Location is close (walking distance) to the beach, groceries, shopping or restaurants. Home has plenty of room for our stay of 4 adults. We did cook on this trip and had everything we needed. The beds are memory foam and fairy comfortable. The shower had a quirky valve but we managed to make it work. All in all a great 2 day place to stay. We would definitely come back. Plus David came to our rescue when we were leaving and locked the doors with a cell phone still inside.

This place was top notch in literally every aspect. The property managers thought of everything, it felt like a cozy home away from home.
We have stayed at Ocean Shores many times, and I was about to reserve a different property for almost $200 less than this one, but the reviews and pictures led me to try it... and I am glad I did!
Trust me when I say.. you will not want to stay anywhere else, the had snacks ready, a welcome message, all kinds of things you might forget bringing to a beach, cozy places to sit and sleep, they checked in with us all throughout our stay...... amazing stay - thank you!!

Very nice place overall. A couple of areas of disappointment. The wonderful shower dual shower was a disappointment, due to low water pressure. The set up for shower was great, but one shower head had poor water flow, the other only fair. The other disappointment was the void of any chairs (of any sort) to sit in on the top deck.
With all that said, we still enjoyed the place very much. The beds were very comfy, the linens were great and my grandkids loved the bathrobes! The location was convenient, quiet and full of wildlife viewings.

We couldn't have asked for anything better. Our family had an amazing time. All the spa like amenities made this home a relaxing escape. We will most definitely be staying again. Thank you David for a memorable experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is prime. Loved all the thoughtful touched. The poop bags for pets, the cookie mix and popcorn, the loofah, games, extra chairs.
My suggestions would be is the trail to the beach really needs to be groomed back. The walk is really rough.
The shower is beautiful, but the shower heads are horrible. Can you get better shower heads?
Bring bug repellent, the mosquitoes are bad.
Very cute place and great communication. Had a great time with family.

Who ever decorated this house is amazing. The heated bathroom floor made my morning showers extra special. The beds were great. The fresh flowers and Starbucks coffee really made us feel welcomed. Very clean.

Warm, inviting, comfortable and clean! This was a great little spot for our weekend getaway and we enjoyed every minute of it!

The house was cozy and was as advertised. We enjoyed watching the deer in the backyard.

This property is everything you need to enjoy time at the beach with family. A great set up with plenty of room for games and family fun. Will definitely stay here again!

From the first step into this house, you know that the owners want you to enjoy your stay. The house is well maintained, aesthetically pleasing and has plenty of everything you need, including plenty of coffee, towels and shampoo. There is no skimping. We stayed here on a rainy weekend. The house was the perfect place for short excursions to the beach and then a long curl on the couch or the chaise with a great book. This is where you want to stay in Ocean Shores.

This house was everything that was promised and more. Keurigs in every bedroom, stone shower, candy on the pillow...they thought of everything. Even the pull out couch bed was comfortable! Loved the huge TV, the pleasant walk to the beach, and all the extras. There were cookies mixes, popcorn, even chairs for the beach. Communication both before and during the stay was impeccable. We plan to make this house our home away from home at Ocean Shores from now on!

My sister and I stayed at Tide Pool for a girls weekend. Tori met us to walk us through the house and she was a pure delight.
The space has been beautifully decorated. And there are treasures everywhere you look.
Beds - super comfortable with lots of pillows! big fluffy robes. Coffee makers in each bedroom with a delicious assortment of coffe to choose from.
It would be a great space for couples or a family as the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house so you get lots of privacy.
There are two bathrooms. One has an enormous walk-in shower with two shower heads and heated floors. It's kind of magical. Both bathrooms are lovely and included nice soaps/shampoo, lots of towels -- everything you need.
We ate out most meals, but the did use the kitchen and it was nicely stocked. Everything worked fine.
Nice wood stove for chilly weather and a great back deck/porch area for when the weather is warmer.
The place was spotless, beautiful, comfortable, and soooo relaxing. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Property had gone above and beyond with the amenities on this property. Smart tv with all
The apps which having a 3 year old is a must. Fire pit in the back yard was amazing. Only thing I would say (has nothing to do with the house) bring your bug spray to hang outside. Lots of skeeters. Enjoyed this home very much and will be renting again

This place is lovely! It's comfortable, clean, and has little luxurious touches througuout. They had a fully stocked kitchen with every cooking utensil we needed and provided coffee, soaps, detergents, and cleaning supplies. We totally overpacked as we weren't expecting it to be so well stocked! If we rent this place again I'll know I can relax and pack less next time! 😊 Beds were comfy, bathrooms gorgeous. This place was one minute from the main vehicle beach entrance, perfect for taking multiple family excursions to the beach. We were all super comfy, relaxed, and happy for our stay here. Highly recommend!

When we arrived we were given a walk through of the home and a bit of history connected to it. So many amenities to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. There were additional touches of fresh flowers and GOOD coffee. This may seem trivial to some but they are touches of warmth and welcome. We did not feel rushed to check in or out. Never ran out of hot water, so no fighting over first shower...lol. Located close to the main part of town but far enough away for peace and quiet. Lovely path close to beach. Could not have asked for a better vacation experience!

Very nice residence, nicely decorated. Great time for all!

My family had a wonderful weekend in Ocean Shores. The cabin was just as described and had plenty of amenities. I enjoyed my coffee up in the loft area in the mornings and in the evenings we had camp fires with smores, which the was a lot of fun. David was very thoughtful and provided a shovel, sand bucket, hot chocolate and cookies for our children. We didn't make the cookies, but the fact that he took the time to personalize our reservation was greatly appreciated. My wife loved the hotel style amenities of the robe, slippers, soaps, etc. One item to note if you are staying with a toddler is that you will need to bring a baby gate or use the kitchen chairs to block the stairway. We brought our own baby gate, so that was not an issue. There was Wi-Fi, but we did not use it. It's nice not being connected and enjoying the ocean and wildlife at the cabin. We even had some deer in the yard one afternoon! We will definitely be back and the next time we hope to stay longer.

This home was beyond our expectations. My grandchildren were so excited about going to the ocean that they were pushing us to leave earlier than we planned. It was no problem for the owner's assistant Linda to meet us early and show us around the house. The house was stocked with all the essentials including coffee, creamer, cookie mix etc. The view in the upstairs loft was phenomenal. We had our coffee up there in the morning and were amazed at the wildlife roaming in the back yard including a coyote, deer and a hawk. Such a wonderful weekend for all of us. We will definitely be back. Thank you David for sharing your beautiful home.

Property manager was great. They responded right away and went above and beyond to assist us and make stay enjoyable. Property was excellent and enjoyed it greatly. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was very clean with many thoughtful gift baskets throughout. The space was perfect for a family with a lovely additional loft. The yard is roomy and private, yet the house is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The beautiful beach was a short drive for us, convenient with our load of beach gear. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again.

The entire process of finding, reserving, and checking in to the property was so simple. The house was exactly as expected, loved the decor and location, everything was clean and well-stocked. We're looking forward to visiting again soon.

This house has a perfect set up for a family getaway! The beds were super comfy and the pull out bed wasn’t too bad either according to my brother. The main area is open concept with the living room, kitchen and dining area; perfect for cooking and chatting. There is trail access to the beach when the swamp dries out. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, etc.. The weather was great and we will most definitely be back!

Location was perfect for enjoying Ocean Shores and the surrounding area. Everything was neat and tidy.

My husband and I just spent a wonderfully rainy/windy weekend at Tide Pool Cabin, having a small dinner party on the first night. The kitchen was immaculate (as was the entire house) and was fully furnished with everything we needed to entertain. Even though the weather wasn't on our side we were super comfortable, and as a plus the home was beautifully decorated for the holidays! We'll be back for sure.

We would definitely come back!

We were very impressed with the property. Very cozy, lots of character, and a surprisingly large amount of space. Property was very clean, and the owner is by FAR one of the easiest people we have worked with. She was so nice, accommodating, and was always available during our stay. Would completely recommend this place to anyone want to stay in Ocean Shores.

Its a great family house. It had everything we needed. Well it could have a little more kitchen supplies but we made it work. Location is awesome.

This is our second time at the property. It is very clean and comfortable. Very close to the store and shops. Easy walking distance to the beach and shops. We were even able to see the fireworks on the beach. We had a great time!

Loved this place. Great location within walking distance to everything. Decorations for Christmas was my favorite part. Our family had a great time and I hope to come back again.

Me, my wife and our 3 children absolutely loved staying at this house. It was very welcoming and had all the amenities you could ask for. It was close to town and had a great yard for kids to play. We enjoyed watching the many deer that would eat the grass in the back yard. We plan on coming back for sure!

Well stocked kitchen. The drink glasses were very fun and trendy as was the entire house. The house was clean, the manager met us on site to welcome us and show us around, and the area was quiet. The walk to the beach through the dunes was a great experience. Our dog was welcomed. We had a very comfortable stay.

It was bigger than we expected. Location was perfect.

Beautiful home with the perfect rooms to house our family. The pictures show how incredibly it is decorated...such a realxing atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped so we could cook all of our meals and we appreciated the personal touches. We loved the trail walk to the beach and there were chairs that we could take with us. Close proximity to all of the fun activities in Ocean Shores and communication with the owners/managers was excellent! We'll definitely come back again!
