Lake Como offers some of the most striking urban, landscape and architectural gems of the entire Italian peninsula. Among these treasures stands Bellagio, "The pearl of the Lario", a village of just over 3000 inhabitants on the northern end of the Larian Triangle, in which the two branches of the Lake are divided.
Among the most fascinating aspects of this village there are undoubtedly its charming villas, famous all over the world for their splendor and their manicured gardens. To mention some of them, Villa Melzi boasts many works of art and 18 km of paths in its garden, and Villa Serbelloni, today a conference center of the Rockefeller Foundation, features a wonderful garden as well. The old town, with its numerous shops located along narrow streets with steps, passages and arcades, is renowned all over the world and attracts thousands of tourists every year. The territory of Bellagio is vast and varied, you can visit the different lake hamlets such as Borgo di Bellagio, Loppia, San Giovanni and Pescallo, up to the top of Monte San Primo, reachable with a dense network of paths and itineraries for lovers of trekking and nature. Finally, Bellagio is well connected by boat to nearby villages such as Varenna, Lenno, Bellano, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como.
The apartment is also easily accessible from Como by public transport and is 1 hour and 20 minutes' drive from Orio al Serio Airport.

While the Tiny Studio was spotlessly clean and very cute, it IS tiny. If you weigh more than 250 pounds you will not fit in the tiny shower.
Also it is a bit of a walk or a short bus ride from the ferry landing. It’s very easy for a fit young person but my husband and I are 69 and 71. Going up a steep incline while dodging cars and motorcycles was nearly the end of us.
