Nice and clean. Great beach access and a neat live music scene. Great for couples looking for a place to sleep before boarding a cruise if you want to get the party started early! Not a quiet, serene place if you want total silence to sleep, but we slept just fine with the chatter of conversations in the sitting area. Free morning coffee in the lobby and we enjoyed it on the beach literally across the street. Only back draw was parking is limited and the building looks dark at night from the outside.

The hotel is very nice. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because the food was awful and there’s no coffee maker in the room.

The staff and hotel checkin were pleasant! The bar staff were also super attentive and the hotel is super quaint, clean and quiet. We have loved our stay!

Quaint boutique style hotel.
Had everything required for our 2 night stay.
Staff were very accommodating.
Rooftop area was a great spot for our morning coffees overlooking the water

Loved the upstairs bar overlooking beach! Our favorite spot. Rooms were small and basic, but comfy.

A great vibe . Clientele was appropriate and respectful to each other . Service prompt and friendly . An oasis on the sea wall amongst the large multi unit chains . Boutique experience and worth every penny.

Always exceptional and welcome team. Food service is fantastic and hospitality amazing as well.

Best little gem. The general manager was the best I’ve ever seen! She was always around and chatting, helping her staff. The place is a little slice of Palm Springs in the 70s. If you are going to Galveston, go here.

We had an amazing time here! Our room was absolutely perfect. We were right outside from the pool, and every staff member greeted us with a smile.
Would definitely stay here again!

Cool place, retro feel, very friendly staff; needs coffee in the rooms. Was pricey for the accommodations, especially when there was not even coffee available in the room, although you could get a cup of coffee for about four dollars at the bar in the morning. We paid over $300 per room, but we were desperate because our other accommodations were unavailable due to the storms. So I do not know if this is their usual price or if the price had gone up due to availability on the island.

Unique, smaller property with a friendly and fun staff. I enjoyed hanging out by the pool and meeting new friends.

Pictures appear nicer than it actually is. Food is expensive and so is the room for what it is. One very nice feature is we had a main floor interior room that is literally right next to the pool. There were drunk people stumbling in during the night that woke us up which is no fault to the hotel.

Nice hotel but not for families. We enjoyed our stay with no kids but it is a pre of a party hotel.

The hotel is very small and cute. It's a remodel of the previous hotel. I accidentally spilled water and used a towel to dry it up it was so dirty. The floors don't get mopped. Upon check in, we were advised that Expedia doesn't include the $10 per person resort fee. It's hardly a resort. I, read over the website and saw that outside food and drinks were not allowed. We saw people bringing in outside food and alcohol. A pool day with drinks and a basket of fries was $115. That wasn't including the $40 bucket of Ultra that my husband purchased separately. We tried the food and had cocktails offered during our stay. They were mid. We had dinner and breakfast outside of the hotel. The hotel is definitely understaffed. We waited for drinks forbat least 10 minutes several times. I stopped using the QR code at the pool for my drinks. It would take 20 minutes. If I ordered at the bar it was 10 minutes. The staff did not know how to answer any of my questions when asked. They were all ver nice and tried to be helpful. The manager or someone came over to address a question we had about reserving pool spots. I asked about bringing in outside food and alcohol and she said no, that it was not allowed. I just said Ok, while I saw it going around me. I'm not a snitch! They get stitches. It is after all, the hotel that should be aware. If we decide to visit again, we know how to do it.
The media presentation is not what you get. IMO. This is a "boutique" hotel at best. It needs some work.

The room was really clean. Beautiful bathroom. Rooms are small. Staff was extremely helpful, engaging and pleasant. The restaurant seating looks out over the beach. Clean beach.

A unique rehab of a 1960s courtyard motel into a hip property right across the street from the beach access. The rooms are motel size with a bit more storage carved out of the bathrooms. The carpet has been removed and the floors are painted concrete, which probably makes them much easier to clean.
When we arrived there was a happy hour DJ in the pool area and we wondered whether the party would continue since it was right next to our room, but it ended and later that evening I had a quiet swim. The outdoor spaces are very nice in the pool area and on the rooftop. I only had breakfast but it was very satisfying and convenient. It does seem strange that they don't have an outside tap to wash off sand since the beach is across the street. But perhaps they manage to keep everything clean without much trouble. Very cute and I would stay there again, though it was pricey compared to other options.

The staff was excellent. I give it an average grade because it was leaking from the ceiling during Beryl storm. We lost power like all of Galveston. After the storm past the management or owners decided it was a liability to have anyone staying at the hotel. I was asked to leave but had no transportation since I was shuttled down from the airport. They did try to contact a shuttle service but it was only hours after the storm had died down. The desk girl did find me another hotel, which is why the staff is excellent.
This property has potential and great staff it just needs to be storm ready so the ship doesn't sink.

The hotel was cute but not a 4 star. Friendly staff and restaurant looked fun but the rooms were dingy. Bed was just okay.

Although the outside appearance of the hotel is off putting once inside it is very pleasing with excellent staff and a relaxing pool and outdoor dining.

This throwback "motel" is a perfect stay for excellent staff and food and drink. It is quaint and perfect for adults looking for a more adult atmosphere. I plan to return to Lucine on my next stay in Galveston.
