Have stayed here a few times and find it very comfortable, both the singles and doubles. Really lovely staff and great location.

Single room booked and it was a single bed too. The ceiling fan hit the wall/ceiling on every rotation which was very annoying

It was for one night so it was fine. Thought the bedroom looked very tired & stains on ceiling & bedside lamps. The bed was too dofy & very rickety.

Good service, but the hotel maybe needs a renovation?

Good location for train station and local walks; you can walk into Cardiff via the Cardiff Barrage walkway.
Basic hotel with clean bed linen, (small) bath towels and plenty of hot water for a bath!

The bed was really comfy. The room, including the carpet, was very clean. The decor is a bit tired in places (faded curtains and tatty bathroom). The TV is tiny. There was no floor towel in the bathroom so ask for one when you check in.

Room was tiny and the single bed was more like a child's bed. Room and hotel was dirty. Had originally booked for 2 nights but left after the first and found somewhere else to stay.

I arrived and the room wasn’t clean.

What a lovely little hotel. We arrived quite late on a Saturday and we're welcomed by the friendly owner. Our room was clean and comfortable with a cute, old fashioned door key. We had a drink in the bar but didn't eat in the restaurant, although it did look lovely.

Great to be able to have a reasonably priced single room on a busy weekend for the hotel.

A little basic but good value

Very convenient to station and town centre. Not being informed that single room allocated was on 4th floor with no lift and bathroom facilities were two large steps up. Fortunately, at nearly 95, I am mobile and hope to manage this but it is a considerable hazard. Disappointed with £10 breakfast, nothing special.

Very dated furnishings though clean enough. No bedside reading lamp. Breakfast not available until 8 o'clock,

What a nasty little hole that I am embaressed to have been charged £130 for. The 'bed' was a mattress on a chipboard ledge no deeper than a skirting board. Metal head board screwed badly to the wall leaving a gaping hole through to the mortar. Cheap textiles, flat lifeless pillows and grubby bathroom. Shower controls were outside the shower curtain which was narrower than the shower recess anyway.Windows and oddly fitting curtain was offset with the walls. Noise all night from plumbing and boiler and constant street noise from downstairs bar/restaurant. Floor sloped towards the bed head so I slet down the slope all night. Stair area up to the rooms was ugly and dated. Expedia refused to refund me due to Hotel not answering the phone. Glendale hang your heads in shame for having the cheek to charge anybody for at this grotty little cell.

Very convenient in Penarth. Right by railway station. Very friendly owner. Very welcoming small hotel.

Bit quirky which was charming. Had 2nd floor room at front. No lift but our luggage was taken upstairs for us so not a problem. This family run business has an excellent Italian restaurant which is on ground floor.

The hotel is nice and very convenient for anything in Penarth. Great breakfast. The only trouble was that the shower did not work (cold only!).

Comfy rooms, tasty breakfast and would like to highlight how lovely, friendly and professional the staff were!
