Great location across street from Kamaole Beach II with great beach and snorkeling.

Great location, safe at night, walking distance to the beach.

Great location, walk to eats and beach! The only part is crockroaches in the room, even in the fridge, kind of horrible.

We love this part of the beach and Kihei Akahi meets all our needs. The unit is spacious enough and has been remodeled. Everything was in good working order. This is our 4th stay at Kihei Akahi.

Close to everything and within walking distance to everything! The kitchen appliances were nice and kitchen was stocked with cooking/dishes. The bed was big and comfy. Bedding and towels and beach towels were ample.
The condo itself is ok, but everything is old and outdated. The carpet is old and nasty. The blinds/curtains on windows are broken. The AC didn't work and the AC water tray is nasty, old, and broken up. The sliding door does not have properly insulation and when the wind blows the wind blows and howls through the sliding door cracks - needs to be replaced! The front screen door is old and the handle is broken, and the screen itself is ripped and very dirty. I was disappointed with the old and broken down condo.

The property is beautiful, loved walking around and looking at the beautiful flowers and trees. The pool areas were very nice.
Enjoyed our stay very much

Great place to stay! The beach was a very short walk. There was also some restaurants and small shops nearby.

The property was close to the Kamaole Beaches (Kamaole II right across the street). It is walking distance to many shops and dining choices close by. The studio unit was equipped with a kitchen, fridge, stove, cutlery and amenities. There was a washer and dryer right in the unit which came in very handy. It was a great condo in a great area.

Located close to a beach and a nice Mexican restaurant. Staffs are friendly and kind.

This was an nice place to stay. The furniture was a little dated and only one AC unit in the Condo. It is extremely hot in the summer time in Maui. This would be problem a that time. It was nice for January weather the island has a good breeze at night. Convenient to different areas on the island. Will stay again on in the winter months due to no real AC unit.

Great location! Reserved parking nice. Pools and tennis across from beach. Easy drive to and from airport. Friendly and helpful office staff.

I loved my stay there. The resort was very clean and the views of the ocean are awesome. The location was perfect. Easy walk to restaurants and shops and of course the beach if that's what you're into. My only complaint is that I arrived at 4:00 p.m. and the office closes at 3:30. It was a little confusing trying to find someone to help me check in. But after that all was good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great place nothing bad to say at all! Wonderful location, view, everything. Having the two bedrooms was also a lifesaver with two kids. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Extremely comfortable, everything you need is supplied in the kitchenette. Grounds are very well cared for, mostly older families in these buildings. We got very lucky and couldn’t have picked a nicer, more suitable area for my husband and I and our 2 teenage boys.

When we arrived at our room, we had dirty dishes next to the sink and someone's laundry in the dryer. This i can over look because we didn't pay an arm and a leg BUT this condo is for 2 people, not 2 adults and 2 teenager's. Very small! The AC did not reach to the bedroom so it was stuffy in the back and cold in the front. I would give another try if its just my husband and I

This is a great place for so many reasons. It is literally across the street from the beach and within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. Kihei is also a great location from which to see the rest of Maui.
I loved the fact that the condo came with beach towels, a small cooler, beach umbrella and beach chairs. This was super convenient for us.
The one thing that left something to be desired is the air conditioning. I am usually not overly sensitive to these things, but the condos are designed that the living rooms have a portable window A/C unit, while the bedrooms have none. The small window in the bedrooms, coupled with the fact that they open to the main hallway and the elevator, makes air movement into the room almost impossible. This means that your TV area will be cold, while your bedroom will be stifling hot.
This would be easy to address, and I am surprised that it has not been. Talking to other guests made it obvious that this is a problem with more than just our unit.

We had studio condo 620. It had SHAG carpet with stains, light/fan that was over table had one speed very slow, sliding screen door that did not slide, air had pan under it you drained everyday in kitchen sink, sofa that has seen better days, drapes needed cleaning. Extra fan full of dust sometime worked. This was a large studio but that is all.

Loved that there was washer/dryer and kitchen! Didnt have to overpack and allowed to me to cook and reheat leftovers.

Maui is beautiful. The Condo is pretty nice but could use air conditioner units in the bedrooms as the one in the living room isn’t sufficient to cool the whole place. The pool and grill is nice and the landscaping was very pretty. Great location as there are a lot of restaurants and stores nearby. The beach is right at the end of the driveway.
The doors needed tightened as they hung low and required force to shut.

Great location right on the main strip. Our condo came stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, towels and snorkel gear!

We would not come back, mainly because of the bedroom. Throughout our whole trip we did not sleep in the bedroom. We stayed on the pullout sofa bed. Simply put, the bedroom felt like a sauna. There was absolutely no air running through the bedroom or the bathroom. Windows were so high to reach, had to call housekeeping to come and open it. It helped sliiightly. However it was still too hot. Plus, the bedroom was right in front of the elevator so we could hear EVERYTHING. How annoying. The fan in the room didn’t do much either. Why would we pay for the bedroom and not sleep in it? We’d like our money back. The AC was near the balcony and really only helped cool down a small perimeter around it. The drip pan was doable, we had to change it maybe twice a day. The water from the AC filled it up fast. Towels were kind of old and dirty as well. We kept getting new bites- not sure if there’s bed bugs. Everything else was okay. Location was great, kitchen was nice. In unit laundry was a plus. The pool was alright. You can’t have too much fun because of all the strict rules there.

The Kihei Akahi property is wonderful, with a pool, hot tub, tennis, grills, and right across from Kam II. The room itself (613) was a bit cramped, lacked amenities, had bugs, and was a bit dirty.
