Our party of four adults, two seniors and three children were looking forward to our holiday, and we were not disappointed! The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay with plenty of parking close to the house. Ilfracombe is a lovely area, with Tunnels Beach being a must to visit for a small fee! Plenty of great places to eat, Hip and Pistol do great food at a very reasonable price. Woolacombe is a lovely sandy beach, great for beach games, surfing or just relaxing!. Also, The Big Sheep is worth a visit if you have youngsters or are young at heart! We would love to return again one day.

The house is really lovely and well kitted out. The kitchen and living area is modern and spatious and the living room was bright and comfortable. A great property.
The owner was extremely helpful and when we left a gift in the house she posted it back for us and wouldn’t even let me pay!

Great place to stay Ilfracombe is beautiful.
Check in easy .... Check out easy.....communication great...house just as described. Hilly area but manageable.
Only downfall is parking is a bit hit and miss. If you go out parking could be a short walk from house upon return, with little ones in the wet this can be a little awkward. Although it didn't spoil our stay at this beautiful property.

Gorgeous views and good location
We had an amazing time staying at the Primrose House, everything was great, prefect for a week away of drinking. However the dryer didn’t dry anything but was amazing and loved the house!!

The owner was lovely and very accommodating. Our only gripes were smelly, holey towels, gas oven that took 60 mins to heat up and no gas bbq as stated.

Beautiful spacious home. Perfect for a family holiday
We had a wonderful holiday, helped by fabulous weather 😎
Primrose House is really lovely. Lots of space for our group of 2 adults and 4 teenagers. We loved the big bathrooms and roll top baths.
The kitchen is well equipped with a great range oven and barbecue in the back yard. Ilfracombe harbour is about 15 mins walk away and we saw some gorgeous sunsets above the tunnels beach.
Plenty of fantastic beaches a short drive away.
Caroline was a great host and all arrangements worked smoothly. There was a minor issue with the oven but we had clear communication and Caroline had the issue sorted quickly.
We were delighted with our stay and would love come again 😀

Superb property and location.
Very impressed with this property.
The house is very spacious with lovely views of the Torrs. Split over three floors it means everyone gets their own space. It is very well equipped, Caroline has thought of every possible need. We were able to park all 3 cars outside the property throughout our stay so saved a fortune not having to park on car parks. The garden is a very pretty sun trap and just the right size for our dog.
The property is perfect for walking into Ilfracombe (bit of a hill but need this to help burn off all the chips and pasties.)
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Ilfracombe primrose house
This is a lovely property in an idyllic location. We all enjoyed the week and The house was big enough and comfortable .One minor criticism would be the living room floor under the couches and chairs needed swept and the leather settee had an unpleasant odour coming off it

Family New Year's break
We had a lovely week in Primrose House. The house itself was exactly like the pictures - very spacious, clean and comfortable. It had every single thing we could have needed. We have stayed in plenty of homes through this site over the years but we found this one to be the most generous in terms of basics provided. We also had a very generous welcome pack on arrival. Thank you Caroline.
The owner was very welcoming, giving us a courtesy phone call straight after booking as well as a few texts in the run up to our stay.
We had 3 generations of family and a very elderly Westie stay in the house and it was suitable for all. Our 2 children loved the bunk beds and the games provided... and of course the fabulous local beaches. We didn't need a car for Ilfracombe itself but were glad to have it to visit sandy beaches such as Woolacombe and Croyde.
One thing I would say if you are thinking of visiting at this time of year alot of the local businesses are closed for the season and reopen in February or Easter weekend. We still managed to find lovely old pubs open and a beautiful Tapas Bar near the harbour. We also did a couple of the stunning coastal walks including the Tors walk which were brilliantly wild at this time of year!
We would highly recommend a stay here.

A lovely house in a great location, just what we wanted.
The property was all we expected, ideal for a break away with family. In our case family included 18 months to 86 years but we managed to find plenty to do to keep us all entertained .

Lovely family holiday
Caroline was attentive and very communicative in the run up to our visit which was helpful. The property is well located, a lovely size and was spotless and really well equipped for our family group of 9. Only point to note is that the dining table only seats 8 comfortably - our 9th group member had to fit onto a corner at mealtimes!
llfracombe is a lovely seaside town with plenty to do and see there as well as being close to other lovely places to visit like Woolacombe, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin, Lynton & Lynmouth. We all really enjoyed the house as our base to explore North Devon - thank you!

A really lovely house and a great base.
We really enjoyed our stay in Primrose House - a lovely house. It was very comfortable, with plenty of space for the seven of us in our party and had everything we needed - very well appointed. A great base for exploring North Devon and an easy walk down into Ilfracombe town. Would love to return.

We loved it !
We had a great experience staying at Primrose cottage. Our group of 8 people ranged in age from 10 years to 90 years old plus a golden retriever Maisie and a Jack Russel Lottie. We had a fabulous family Christmas and the facilities ticked all of our boxes. It was warm, clean, spacious, comfortable and was equipped with everything that you would need. Home away from home and more. The coast path is on the doorstep so we had some lovely walks and some good hilly cycling routes nearby. Thank you Caroline for making our stay memorable.

Beautiful house with everything you need and perfectly located
We booked this property in Ilfracombe as we were at a wedding at Tunnel Beaches. There were 7 in our party including 2 kids and the layout of the house was spot on for us, plenty of room on each floor, modern spacious bathrooms and lovely double bedrooms. The kitchen/diner and lounge areas were perfect, with modern units but maintaining the period features. A nice outside area to the rear too - really felt like home from home!
We would recommend this property highly to anyone visiting the area and if there again will re-book!
