This is my third VRBO stay. Check-in and check-out procedures were clear. The cabin was immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable. Sheets completely clean. Location was quiet (although not far out in the country).
However, there were some big problems. The biggest was that although the property is advertised as having airconditioners in every room, the units in 2 of the three bedrooms were inadequate. These 2 rooms were furnished with portable upright AC units whose exhaust ducts went out the window. In both cases, the exhaust hoses were not secured with hose clamps at the window and the hot AC exhaust ended up coming back into the room. So neither of these were effectively cooled. We only figured out what was the problem at the end of our stay and could not contact the property manager. The exhaust ducts themselves were uninsulated dryer hoses which got very hot. The windows on these bedrooms did not have screens so we could not open them for cool night air. Also the portable units are very noisy.
Second, the bathrooms began stinking as the week went on either due to sewage back up or poor venting.
Finally the front door lock fit poorly and we could hardly enter. The guys had to slam into the door to get it to open. This was the normal doorknob mechanism, not the security lock (which worked fine).
For these reasons I have to downgrade my rating to four stars.

This property has a lot of flexibility for a family. Our 10 yr old grandson loved it. It was a real adventure for him to stay in a log cabin, and have a yard to play in.
The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The owners were very responsive.
Quite convenient to Biltmore, which was why we were visiting.

Our family visited Asheville this Spring and we felt right at home in the cabin. We had everything we needed and when we needed to reach out to the owner once during our stay he answered immediately, was kind and helpful. Location of the cabin was in close proximity to our daily travels. Would recommend to anyone looking to explore Asheville or any of the surrounding area!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. It’s probably the most accurate online listing I’ve ever booked. It’s just as big as it looks. We spent most days in Asheville and it’s a very easy drive. And despite being in a neighborhood, the trees around it do make it feel pretty secluded/private. We had a baby with us and used the pack and play the hosts provided for us. Beds were very comfortable and each room had a window air conditioning unit if needed. The only note I would say is the shower was downstairs through the kitchen so depending on who you’re traveling with might be an issue, but it didn’t bother us. We would 100% stay here again if we’re ever back in the area.

My wife, her sister, her sister's daughter, myself, and two more niblings stayed here while visiting the Biltmore. We had plenty of room. The younger kids really enjoyed the fire pit, where we made s'mores. We didn't do any cooking, but appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what the property actually looks like because we had to cancel our trip due to illness. Wish I had gotten the travel insurance, because I lost my whole payment for the 3 nights. Very saddened by the costly mistake and will probably look to book a hotel stay when I travel in the future. Lessons learned.

The home is charming and has been updated without removing the look and feel of a log cabin. (I'd love to know the history of it!) The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is great! We made Christmas dinner and had pretty much all the needed pans to prepare it. The toiletries are nice quality and we had all the supplies we needed. Beds are super comfy and comforters are thick and warm. Location is convenient to everything yet in a residential area.

We spent a relaxing week in this cozy cabin when the temperatures took a dive, from highs in the 70s, to highs in the 40s and 50s. There were plenty of throws to keep warm while lounging and the bedding ensured that no matter how cold the night was, we stayed warm. Since this is a true cabin, it was a little drafty, but the heat worked well and could be set for each of the individual rooms. We had a minor issue during our stay, which was resolved the same day. The cabin is conveniently located within 20 minutes of many sights and restaurants. There is also a beautiful view of the mountains at the end of the street when heading off for a daily adventure.

Although a short stay, this house and the management team/owners far exceeded our expectations! The house was well equipped with more than we even hoped for in regards to toddler support (high chair, pack n play, etc.), nicely furnished, and filled with local and historic charm. Although an issue arose during our stay, the owner and management team was incredibly responsive, prompt, and dedicated to resolving. Overall, we were extremely happy and will be returning.
