This place was a very nice find . Especially being last minute

House was ok and has potential. Inside was nice but we found no tea towels, no knives and the bed in the master bedroom was damaged and on a severe lean top to bottom. We contacted owner to get wifi details as there were no instructions for anything in the house which they did respond promptly. We wanted to sit on the deck to relax but needed to sweep it first as it was covered in dirt, and sticks and leaves but once we have tidied it up was a nice space. Lake views are only partial and struggled to find public access to the lake front in walking distance.

When we arrived there was a lot of dirt on floors, towels and sheets in the dryer were damp and mildewey smelling so had to rewash.
Most of the big trees are dead and in the middle of the night a huge branch broke off and hit the deck…scared the heck out of us! Lots of branches and sticks already on the deck.
No extra blankets.
When booking I didn’t realize it was just a small lake view and no access to the lake (I should have read more carefully).

The inside was clean and obviously updated. The outside needs work. There was a yellow jacket nest right by the front door that we had to take care of. The screen door had a space where they could easily have gotten inside. The instructions for how to access the home were not as clear as they could have been necessitating a call to host. He responded quickly and took care of issue. There was only 1 wash cloth out for two bathrooms until we found a load of towels in the dryer. There were no top sheets on the two full beds but we found some in a closet. Top sheets are a must in my opinion. There is damage on the deck that needs to be addressed including a limb that has broken through the deck roof. We spent most of our time elsewhere but if we had wanted to use the deck this would have been an issue. In summary, the inside met our needs but the outside needs some TLC.

Beautiful home. Everything is new and clean, roomy and comfortable. Great view of the lake. The host is a wonderful man. We will definitely be back!

Other than a little hiccup with getting inside the property, this place was exactly what we needed. We have our family reunion every Memorial Day weekend and this place was close to my cousins’ lake house so it was perfect. It is so pretty inside and the view from the deck was very relaxing. We would definitely stay here again and again.

This place is so wonderful and peaceful. Enjoyed the night sitting on the deck and watching the stars. This place is a place to get away and just relax and enjoy good company.

The inside was very nice, up to date and clean. The outside and parking was horrendous.

Great experience. House was very clean and worked for exactly what we needed. Our only issue was there were 5 of us staying in the house and there were only 4 towels. Other than that it was great.

My biggest issues were safety and bugs/spiders. There are 2 camera's on the property that are not listed in the description (I just looked and they are still not in the ad). The back door was open when I arrived, which made me feel unsafe the whole stay. The master bedroom door will not close and lock. There were so many bugs and spiders in the house I only sat on the couch 1 time and only after 2 weeks. I killed 2 spiders with eggs sacs on the couch when I arrived and found another crawling out between the cushions (I am highly allergic to the bites). There are also no covers on the windows so anyone can look into the living room/kitchen and see you. The front and back doors are out of alignment and have to either be lifted or pushed down in order to shut and lock. I chose this place because it was light and bright, but the lack of safety and worries over the cameras (that I could see), along with all the dead bugs inside the house, kept me from enjoying my stay. Brian did communicate well and let me unplug the camera on the balcony during my stay, and I purchased table clothes to cover some of the windows. There is no spa whirlpool, which the ad states, only showers. The internet provided was fabulous. The a/c worked wonderfully. The furniture, appliances, towels, and other amenities are all new. The patio furniture is beautiful. The area is secluded, quiet and peaceful. The neighbors I encountered were very nice. The town is laid back and has a large grocery store.

We love our time at this little bungalow with a view of the lake. The Host, Brian, communicates very well and provides solutions for any issues that arise. The lake view from the deck and living room is very relaxing. The home is clean and looks just like the photos. We have stayed previously and plan to stay again!

This is a great little retreat close to Dallas. The home has a new deck with comfortable furniture and views of the lake. The primary bedroom has a King size bed, TV, and en-suite bathroom. The room has great views of the sunrise coming up over the water. The guest bedroom has queen size bunk beds great for both adults and kids. Both bathrooms are freshly remodeled as is the rest of the property. The kitchen and living room have views of the lake as well as a nice large TV. The host, Brian, is attentive and kind. We will definitely be booking again in the future.
