About this apartment rental
Kick back and relax in this calm, quiet oceanfront stylish studio on the Long Beach peninsula. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Walk on the sand and collect shells, take a relaxing stroll on the boardwalk, or to the pier, paddleboard and kayak in Alemedos Bay, share a romantic gondola.
Close to LAX, John Wayne and Long Beach airports, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, and more. Or just sit on the patio to relax and watch the kiteboarders and gorgeous sunsets, maybe you'll see a green flash.
Our beach unit is a large spacious studio apartment that accommodates 2 adults (and 2 children) with a very comfortable king size bed, plus a double bed if you need to bring the kids). The bathroom has a large shower. The Kitchenette has a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, keriqu coffee maker and a hot water pot. (But not a full kitchen, no stove, no oven, no sink) Fast internet (500 mps) and a large screen TV 55 inch (Nextflix, Vudu, Amazon video, YouTube, Spectrum, sign in via your internet apps). The studio also has a DVD player with more apps.
Oceanfront patio with Adirondack chairs, table, & BBQ. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys are provided. The use of 2 kayaks and boogie boards are available upon request.
The property is completely Non-Smoking (cigarette, vape, pot) both inside the apartment and on the porch. Smoking on the premises will result in a fee of $250.00. You may smoke on the street or away from the property.
No pets allowed. $250 fine if a animal is found on the property during your stay. *We keep our units pet free for the future guest and their possible allergy concerns. If a dog is bought to the unit we have to have the carpets clean and the unit complete sanitized so we can offer a pet free environment. Which also takes an extra day to prepare again for the next guests. Thus this is why the $250 pet fee is charged.
No gatherings or parties are allowed and no loud noises or music; Guests must be 25 years old to book the property. Please be respectful of the neighbors and quiet neighborhood.
The studio is an attached separate apartment within a 3-story triplex home. Access is through an outside electronic keypad entry to a separate apartment residence. There are four additional doors inside the unit: 1) locked closet, 2) heater access, 3) accessway (closed, deadbolted, blocked by a refrigerator) 4) accessway (closed, deadbolted, blocked by a clothes rack) 5) locked bedroom door (no access).
The Host lives on the premises in another unit in the triplex and is available to help or answer questions at any time.

This was a great find on a very quiet stretch of beach! The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed watching the sunset and starting off the day on the great patio. As I'm not a coffee drinker, I enjoyed the variety of tea provided. I was worried about having to find street parking but had no difficulty at all. Communication with the owner was excellent and I enjoyed some conversations with her. I would definitely stay here again!

Kim was great. Perfect place for a little get away. We look forward to returning. Thank you Kim for looking after us when the street cleaners came around.

My husband and I booked this place for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The place perfectly matched the listing and provided all the amenities that we needed for a weekend. The beach was beautiful and quiet. It felt like a private beach complete with beautiful sunsets. We especially enjoyed the patio with a variety of seating options and a gas fire pit. Kim was a perfect host - amazing communication, arranging parking, and accommodating our check in timing. I highly recommend this vacation home.

Three of us stayed in the property, as we were moving my daughter into her dorm at CSULB. It was just the right size for us since we were gone most of the day and only returned to the room at night to sleep. The location is wonderful; the beach is outside your door and the property is just a few blocks from 2nd Street (where the restaurants are). The patio had lots of lounging options for people watching. It's easy to find parking spaces on the street, and the neighborhood is clean and well maintained. The host, Kim, is super nice, very communicative and responsive. She even let us check in early! I didn't know that there wasn't air conditioning in the unit, but the host provided 2 fans and offered a cooling blanket. Lots of places in CA didnt have air conditioning; I'm wondering if that's a CA thing? Maybe locals just rely on ocean air to cool them down? Who knows - but I do know that I will stay here again because the price, location and host are top tier!

Place was as described. It was well kept. A few things to note. Not being from California, wasn't sure what to expect. The area is very popular. Parking is horrible on the weekends, at least in July it is. There is no designated parking for your stay. You may have to unload your vehicle and park several blocks away. Not a huge deal, but can be inconvenient. Owner did offer her spot for the day until the weekend traffic left. Plus side is once you have a spot it is walking distance to places to eat, the small inlet beach, which is a popular place. Would stay again for short stay, with no one who is unable to walk a lot. There is no AC either, wasn't horrible with a fan and doors or windows open to get breeze off of the beach.

My wife and I spent four nights at this property as part of our vacation. Our adult daughters joined us for the last night. We were surprised by how quiet the area was. The beach was a virtual ghost town, mostly because families choose the bay side with its more lake like feel. The only people on the boardwalk seemed to be locals walking their dogs or out for a run.
Kim was very welcoming and helpful, often saving a parking spot for us when she saw one open and knew we’d be needing one when we returned. Accommodations were adequate, who stays at the beach to hang out indoors anyways? Outdoor space was fantastic and mostly shaded. Would absolutely stay again!

Cozy spot in a quiet beach side community. Owner Kim was a pleasure to meet and speak to and was quick to provide any and all requests. Has a solid plan for limited parking and was easy to work with

The apartment itself was wonderful and Kim was super fast at responding even though she was out of the country during our stay. Being on the beach was great, but there were a couple things that should be known before booking and would have probably changed my mind on choosing this stay.
1. If there are other guests staying in the building, the front patio is shared. So if you wanted to grill, use the patio furniture, or things that are supposed to be available to you and the other guests are using them you’re SOL. We ran into this problem more than once when wanting to use the patio. That’s not something disclosed beforehand.
2. Being right on the beach is awesome, as long as you don’t go down by the water. The closer to the water you get, the dirtier it is. The beach is not kept up with cleaning. There was trash, a dead chicken, and used needles lying around when we tried walking the beach close to the water. I didn’t want my kids down there, which almost defeated the purpose of a beach front stay.
Besides those two major issues, our stay was fine. It’s a great location when it comes to getting anywhere in the LA or surrounding areas.

Beach was pleasant and views were amazing! Lots of resteraunts and bars near by and Disneyland is a 25 minute drive. Would definitely stay again.

The location was outstanding. The view was spectacular. The amenities are first rate. The towels were exquisite. There are many options to sit out on the patio overlooking the beach and the ocean. The room had plenty of things for both adults and kids, with toys books and games. The beach gear was also very nice.
The only things to note are the kitchenette is not really a kitchen. It is a plastic table with a microwave and some food service items. There's a coffee maker on another table across the room. If you are looking for a true kitchen, Kim has another unit in the building that has a full kitchen. For us, it was fine as we did not prepare any meals in the room. The walls are pretty thin. If there are guests in the unit next door, you can hear them, and their screaming kids. Also, when the unit next door or the one above, use their plumbing, you’ll hear it!
Overall it was a very nice place to spend a couple of nights at the beach.

Photos of beach studio accurately capture layout and sleeping arrangements. Hostess Kim's communications were spot on. Parking is difficult in the neighborhood. Kim allowed parking on the street next to the Villa.

This place is right on the beach, perfect for that beach getaway. Kim was extremely nice, welcoming, responsive, and kind. The beach was empty, so nice compared to many of the other beaches. The location was perfect: volleyball net right outside the house, ocean just past the volleyball net, many options for walks and exploring, short drive to food and shopping, lots of parking. The space easily fit a family of four with plenty of room and the kitchen space was great for cooking meals. I will definitely be booking here again.
