Nice location and room but I’m sorry but I would not stop again due to experience as detailed above.

Location was fine, room was clean and acceptable

Whoever was staying in the room above was walking around the room at all hours, 3 4 in the morning. We could hear every footstep, this either woke us up or kept us awake, this continued every night of our stay, it was not just a short walk as if visiting the bathroom, this went on for quite a long time.

Gorgeous room, very spacious, beautifully decorated, very comfortable. House keeping available if you ask, towels changed daily and bedding changed twice during a 5 night stay. Lovely bathroom and shower. Great location a short walk into town of about 10 to 20 minutes depending where you want to go. Would highly recommend to others and will certainly return again. Hosts do their upmost to make sure you have everything you need. Thank you for a lovely week!

We would return, it was ideal for us

We loved everything about the property, location for town centre was great. Easy to find on street parking. Excellent communication with hosts and facilities in the room were spot on.

Stunning rooms & property

Absolutely stunning room, very clean the bed was so comfortable too. Plenty of tea coffee biscuits etc, the shower was ace too, had jets and steam option too. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back in the future. Jayne and Lee

A delightful stay, we really appreciated the attention to detail in the Alice suite…The entire home was beautifully deco

We had the Alice suite a beautiful room dedicated to all things Alice in Wonderland - The attention to detail was truly fabulous. The bed was extremely comfortable and we were delighted with the property, located just across the river and a very pleasant 20 mins walk into town. Plenty of parking across the street in a small riverside car park, self checking lovely tea and coffee facilities…Very nice!

We had two rooms booked one across the landing from us, it was a beautiful room and incredibly comfortable according to our daughter, however, the bathroom was adjacent to the bedroom and a little uncomfortable for our daughter in the morning when cleaner around. I had no idea when booking so just please be sure you have an en-suite if that’s what you require.

Brilliant stay, impeccable VFM - a lush little gem.

Self-check in, cosy feeling, superbly decorated. Welcome pack with instructions, recommendations, directions etc. Everything high quality - value for money. Attentive hosts, checkups & open to feedback. Comfortable, warm bed.

The WiFi was temperamental (weak connection) for my iPhone, but for one night this was not a massive issue.

Read the detail and all updates very carefully.

There was no breakfast.

Unmanned with no fire extinguishers. It was addressed the day we left. The front door would not lock. It was fixed on the second day. There is limited off-road parking. There was no toilet in the room.

Location was great , 15 min stroll into town

My hubby wasn’t too keen on the bathroom being located on the landing, it didnt bother me at all the mattress was a little too soft for our liking , maybe because we have a memory foam one at home.

Delightful short stay in Shrewsbury

All well organised, lovely room, very stylish, nice quiet location, extra touches such as proper wine etc glasses, good tv with Netflix etc and good to have 2 comfortable chairs. Really impressed and will stay again.

Lovely room in a beautiful house.

Lovely large old house. I had the Alice room it was lovely with a King size bed and quirky features. The place smelt lovely as I entered. Very clean.

Small details - knob on wardrobe kept coming off as I opened the door. Not really keen on being asked to strip the bed (mentioned in visitors book ) on the morning of leaving. But did it anyway.

A very pleasant break.

The room was stylishly decorated and furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom was fastidiously clean. Folder containing a lot of information about the area with recommendations for places to eat.

I would have preferred the bathroom to have been en-suite. I found the request to strip the bed before departure somewhat unusual. At no time did we see any staff.

Perfection

Absolutely stunning and the hosts were fast answering any questions we had before we went . Guest book explains everything and very clear instructions . Loved the shower and commentary drinks and snacks . Bed was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again . 7 to 10 minutes walk to town .

Theme of the room was nice.

Bed was very uncomfortable. The door banged all night room with the air flow through the building. Barking dogs kept me awake and the light on the mirror in the bathroom kept switching off.

Quality accommodation in Shrewsbury

A lovely, quirky room with super-comfortable furnishings and the best shower I've had in a long time. Real attention to detail in every aspect. Fast Wifi. The walk into town was a pleasant 15 minute stroll through the park or along the river bank.

Not much really. The lighting options were a bit limited in that I couldn't figure out how to have one bedside lamp on without having the wacky neon wall lights on as well. The door rattled a bit with various activity in the house, which might have become an annoyance - a simple matter to fix. The illuminated and heated bathroom mirror had a few lamps out so was pretty useless. Minor niggles only though.

The extractor fan in the bathroom makes very loud whistle like noise when on. Had to turn the fan off.

Great location, lovely accommodation, very clean

The bathroom heating was not working, we could live without the bath being out of action as there was a shower but the room was cold the whole stay. Also, unfortunately the other residents or guests were noisy, ringing the doorbell and not very considerate for other guests, I know it’s not the owners fault but it was a shame.

Location was great, easy to walk into Shrewsbury. Owner contacted us via text that if we needed anything, just let the cleaner know, which was very thoughtful. Lovely warm room after coming back from a chilly walk.
