We were only at Linen & Stone one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The manager was very friendly and helpful. You could tell much thought went into each room, and guest comfort was very important! Our room faced a busier street, so at times we were aware of traffic. And there was an older stairway to navigate, which is to be expected in a charming old house. Definitely recommended!

I very much enjoyed my stay. The accommodations were wonderful - the room had everything I needed: a comfy bed, clean bathroom, tea/coffee maker, a few cookies (nice add!), a mini fridge... I enjoyed the short walk to town, the easy parking, and the tables outside. I would definitely stay again!

The beds were a little hard.

The room my wife and I chose to reserve was the exact room we reviewed on the website. The room was gorgeous,, the bed comfortable, and check in the easiest I have EVER experienced. In fact, neither my wife nor me ever met the owner/manager. All communication is completed via email.

We had a great stay at Linen and Stone Inn. Easy checking in , very comfortable room and walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Downtown Galena. The common areas were very comfortable. The manager was very attentive. We enjoyed our stay

All in all not a great stay. When we booked we were expecting a little private apartment not a 5 bedroom duplex that we share with strangers. The listing showed a living space as well as a bedroom with a bathroom that was enough to sleep 3. When we got there we quickly found out that we only booked the small bedroom and a connecting bathroom. (Not sure where the 3rd person was supposed to fit) the rest of the living space was shared with everyone else staying at the property at the time and thankfully that was only 1 other couple.
The fan in the closet was completely covered in dust and there were ladybugs everywhere dead and alive ones. Not a great stay and we probably won't be back.

The decor was amazing!!! Upstairs water took a little longer to warm up that expected. Would recommend for others to stay! Your communication was excellent with us!

We very much enjoyed our stay at linen and Stone Inn. We visited in the off-season, and had the entire upstairs to ourselves so plenty of privacy and quiet. The bedding and furnishings were very beautiful. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. It was great to be so close to all the shops and restaurants, but not feel like you were right in the middle of all the traffic. I would definitely stay there again. My only request is that a trash container be available in the bedroom as well as the bathroom.

This is exactly the kind of BnB I like. The rooms are cute and the building is beautiful and historic. It’s close to downtown. And ginger is a wonderful, hand off host. She’s responsive to messages if you need something but otherwise there’s no forced interaction. As a bit of an introvert it’s exactly the experience I love. Definitely will visit again.

We had a great experience staying at Linen and Stone while visiting friends in Galena. Close to town, easy check in and a clean and cozy place to sleep at night.

Can't say enough nice things about our stay and the folks who run the inn. The location was incredible (a very short walk to downtown and an even shorter drive). The rooms were spotless and full of everything we would need for a comfortable stay. Love love loved it!
The property managers went above and beyond when we accidentally left some clothing there, they scooped it up and mailed it back to us! We will definitely be coming back to this place again! 10/10 would stay again.

We stayed two nights (Thursday & Friday) at the Linen&Stone Inn for a wedding in Galena. Our rooms were very cheap (I suppose for a Thurs & Fri in December) and initially, I wondered, what's the catch? The host had a lot of info prior to our stay (a note of advice to the host, your emails are too long and and you need to edit them down) and when we arrived, it was super easy to check in and get into our room. We stayed in unit 1 and it's so charming and cute! We were so happy! It's even better in person. It's super clean and I am such a picky person - I am very easily grossed out in hotel rooms and I felt really good about this place. The host provided little snacks and cute coffee bar. So there was no catch, just a great price for a great room! We would certain consider staying here again, but it would depend on the price (I saw some rooms went up in price quite a bit on weekends and busier seasons). We throughly enjoyed our stay :) ps Galena was an amazing area! Barely got to explore.

Beautiful house located in a beautiful neighborhood. Walking distance from downtown Galena. We stayed on a Sunday so we have the house all for ourselves.
The check in was a little complicated, the main entrance for units 1-6 has no sign and took us a while to figure it out, called the host to no avail. Nevertheless another co-host Doug immediately took care of the situation and helped us out. The bedroom size was adequate, nice and comfortable. The house is very well maintained and makes you feel you are in a different period of time. I didn’t like the strong smell of the living room air freshener because I suffer from migraines but once upstairs it was ok. The bathroom had a variety of toiletries in regular size, that’s a big plus. Our room was located close to the street, we can hear all the noise from cars and trucks going up and down US 20, that didn’t bother us because the bed and pillows were so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Looking forward to visit again.

This is a perfect location for visiting the downtown shops and restaurants. We didn't move the car from the Inn's parking lot the entire trip.

Great stay with no surprises. Enjoyed the room and the town

Clean, comfortable property.

This was a nice place to stay. Indeed, it is close to Main Street Galena. The owners allowed us to change rooms when we requested, due to street noise. The microwave came in handy when we needed one, and the refrigerator was also very convenient.

We were impressed with how clean the room was. Location was great and very close to Main St. We will definitely stay there again.

Great location, walkable to Main Street. The room was clean and comfortable with very seamless digital lock system. We will be back!

Perfect location for walking to all sites. Cozy rooms and clean. Had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Cute lil place off Main Street.

The environment was cozy and I really enjoyed having the 1st night, a Thursday, to myself. The location was close to Galena's Main street and it made it easy to walk to, which I enjoyed. I have no complaints about my stay other than I lost the WI-FI connection on my rooms television and had to use my laptop from Friday thru the remainder of my stay. Even after I contacted the property manager and received another WI-FI connection user and password I still couldn't get the TV to work. It was frustrating, but overall the stay was enjoyable.

Very nice room, very clean and tidy. Great location too. We had an issue with the wifi at alomost 9PM. I sent a message and got a response within minutes. They have several wifi networks at this location, which is great, so it was a fast fix to get on another network. Awesome response even being later in the evening....can't ask for more than that! Definitely going to stay here again.

Very nice place, decorated great, just a short walk to downtown. And the host were very connected during my stay and made sure I was comfortable.
Awesome place that I will go back to!!

Stayed one night at Linen and Stone and would be happy to return. Great little inn, cute decor, quiet (despite the construction out on the street). Short walk to downtown Galena. Thanks to Doug and Jared, ginger too, for great communication prior and during our stay!

My husband and I were looking for a place for our anniversary and decided to visit Galena for the first time last minute. We found this listing and it turned out to be a great location close to downtown and right off Hwy 20 which made traveling to other spots ideal (current construction was a bit extra to navigate but that didn’t affect the property).
