Very nice large rooms. Great top roof breakfast/dinner sitting overlooking the bay. Good quality breakfast and dinner- highly recommend.

MERCI 🙏
JE RECOMMANDE VIVEMENT ✅

Ayyoud and "Chef" (I'm sorry, I never quite understood his name) were both exceptional! The breakfasts were generous and thoughtful (chef recognized my preferences and had them waiting when I woke up). Ayyoud was an exceptional host, checking in on me, sharing his love of his city and country and ready with personal recommendations. The room that I had was incredible, the view, the airflow, the light, the amenities! I worked while I was in El Jadida and this was the perfect space.
It was difficult to find even standing at the front door. A small sign would be helpful :)

The place is located in the medina/kazbah. The staff are really nice and helpful. There is no english but you can work around that with google translate and finger pointing. The room is small, we had to move a chair out so we can open our suitcases on the floor. There is not view from the room we were in but the upper floors probably do and they serve a nice breakfast on the rooftop terrace with an excellent view. The wifi was probably the fastest and most stable we have had in Morocco. They gave us a gift of Mohammed's Daughters hand keychain. There is not sign for the place, but we said when we would arrive and one of the staff was watching for us. Picture of the front door included in the posting. We actually did have a nice cab ride to the train station where the driver did not try to scam us, perhaps a first in Morocco. He was friendly and seemed to welcome tourists.
The beds are hard. We actually had locals, who were obviously not beggars, come up to us with their hand out when the recognized us as tourists. We were there in late December with a temperature of 45F at night and the place is cold day and night without any HVAC so you are fully dressed underneath the covers whenever you are in the room.
El Jadida is not for tourists. There is not much see other than the fort, which can be done in an hour or two on a day trip from Casablanca. The medina is place where people live and not what you see in other cities like Fez. The only restaurants seem to be the typical snack shops.

The place is lovely, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit.
Lots of quirky trinkets to intrigue and a comfortable seating area to take a break.
The vista from the terrace over the ocean and across the town is stunning.
Using a key to lock the bathroom was a bit of a pain, especially if you're in a hurry!

We loved our stay at Casa Da Mare. We had the room at the very top so lots of stairs but the view was absolutely stunning and worth the climb. We never got sick of watching the changing tides and activity on the ramparts and out on the seawall and port. The room was huge with several sitting areas, a big TV, good WIFI, lots of storage space and it was decorated in gorgeous Moroccan style. Our room had its own private bathroom but not all the rooms do. The breakfast was very generous and delicious and was upstairs on an enclosed terrace with equally stunning views. It is a fantastic location within the walls of the Cite Portugaise.
Communication was a bit of an issue as we only speak English but we made do. It was hard to find as there is no sign out the front. We didn't mind the stairs but our top room had a tiny spiral staircase to climb after several flights of stairs so some people might find it difficult. The breakfast is on the very top level so this might also be an issue for those less agile.

The staff was helpful and quick to respond. The terrace had a very beautiful view looking to the sea port. The riad was clean and well decorated. The surroundings are pretty calm.
The room we got was smelly. The bathroom had no air recycling and was very small. Maybe it was different for the other rooms. The location of the riad was very hard to find (wrong coordinates on Google maps and Waze).
