Autzie's Riverview Cottage Story: Recently under new ownership but same great place! Story from previous owners: "This was my grandparent's home for over 40 years from the mid 1940s to 1986. I have so many wonderful, magical memories of spending weekends and summers here, so when I had the opportunity to purchase the cottage in April 2017, there was no question in my mind I had to do it! We lost my grandmother in March of 2016, so the cottage has been lovingly decorated as a tribute to an amazing woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Guests will enjoy stories and pictures of Autzie during their stay, as well as all the fun Hermann MO has to offer!"
Although “official” check-in is 4pm, we can almost always accommodate an earlier check-in time.
Other accommodations offered at this cottage: DVD player and coffee/tea makers. Kitchens offer refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and hair dryers.

We had a lovely time and enjoyed the cottage. It was super cute and very clean. I had asked the property manager if we could check in early, which we were able to. The day of, there was a snag as she hadn’t been able to get it cleaned as soon as we got there (I think she had said the cleaning lady was unexpectedly ill). But she had it cleaned very quickly and even had some gift cards for us. Would definitely come back.

Nice and clean, 1 bedroom property in a quiet and private location! You can easily walk down the stairs to the Hermanhoff winery and then downtown from there.
The only negatives we could mention were minor.. The shower does not have a lot of pressure and we did not find shampoo. The driveway has a bump and drop off on it that scraped the bottom of our car, and it's a little tricky to get back out of to the street. Would love it if the bedroom window shades had a way to completely block out the morning sun and some visibility from the property up the hill. Again...pretty minor stuff.
The positives - We had great communication from the owners and the property was as described.
The bedroom had a comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and just-right amount of covers. The living room was spacious, with a nice couch and chairs, enough to seat 4 comfortably. The TV was a bit small for the space but we didn't use it much either.
Although we did not cook, the kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed for our short stay.
We had snow on the ground but would have loved to use the large yard/firepit area or porch swing to look out on the river and sip some wine. next time...
Overall we were very, very happy with the property and would not hesitate to book it again!

We had a great time. The house was nice and well equipped with everything we needed. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the backyard with a view. The Stairs to town were a struggle and the lanterns were not on at night but overall it is close to town. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I come to Hermann every year for our anniversary. We only live 20 minutes away but it’s the perfect little getaway. This property has by far been our favorite and we will be booking for next year. Secluded, clean, so adorable. Property management was so easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to come back.
