This waterfront home enjoys an idyllic location on the western banks of Hood Canal, tucked away at the base of mature evergreens with sunshine playing on the private shore. It's a lovely spot for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun while taking in the panoramic view. Be sure to keep an eye out for any pretty sailboats and dolphins who may float by! There's much to explore nearby as well, from Lake Cushman, Olympic National Forest, and Olympic National Park to Hoodsport itself with its quaint local shops and restaurants.
This home is a showcase of its surroundings, best admired outdoors on the gorgeous patios and rocky shoreline. Sip your morning coffee outside on the cushioned lounge chairs, light the gas grill for a lunchtime barbecue, and spend golden hour sipping wine in the sheltered seating space nestled near the water's edge. Perhaps take the kayaks out for a scenic dusk adventure! In the evenings, set the outdoor table for dinner at sunset and gather around the gas firepit to share stories in the salty sea breeze.
The interior is every bit as beautiful and atmospheric thanks to lofty ceilings and a rear bank of windows framing Hood Canal and the mountain backdrop. The living room exudes comfort and charm, offering warm wood paneling, a smart TV for movie nights, and a wood-burning fireplace encased in stone. There's also a lovely kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a waterfront dining space, and even a telescope to help you spot passing otters, osprey, and bald eagles. No matter your lounging choice, pure bliss is ensured every moment of your stay.

It's a beautiful home right on the water. We enjoyed all of our meals outside and used the paddleboards. I really enjoyed watching the sunrise while still lying in bed, and we stargazed each night after spending some time around the fire pit.
The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, but you must bring your own spices, including salt and pepper, and a cutting board.
Additionally, we could not find any additional TP besides the half roll left on the holder, all of the cleaning supplies were empty, and the grill was missing a brush.
Something red and sticky was spilled inside the fridge, and what appeared to be little kid hands were on the windows when we arrived. The grill also needed a deep clean before it could be used.
The bathroom was well stocked with towels, soap, and Dove products. The shower had a large overhead and a handheld and the instant hot water was really nice after jumping into the cold fjord!

The location and the access to the water was the best. Sitting around the gas fire pit was lovely.

We loved this property for our short getaway! Very well appointed with new furnishings and cookware. We saw seals and two families of sea otters that would play right in front of the property. Loved access to the kayaks as well!

Amazing clean comfortable house but did not compare to the outside seating /deck area. It was an amazing view and extremely relaxing. The driveway was a bit hard to locate and very steep but worth it for the house.

We loved staying here. Would come again. The parking was tricky as described, but not too hard to navigate. The property is beautiful. We loved using the paddleboards and kayaks each evening. So many shells and rocks on the beach right next to the home. The house had lovely decor, it was very cozy. Beds and comforters were cozy. Loved the remodeled shower and they had dove soap and shampoo conditioner. We made a fire in the fireplace with the wood they had supplied. Loved it.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the great waterfront house. Wonderful house, well outfitted kitchen, and absolutely beautiful view with plenty sea life sightings during our stay. Love the location! Grateful for time at this home.

Lovely location and fantastic views. Very quiet place to relax for a few days. Note on the VRBO description that this property is a 4 mile drive from downtown Hoodsport, not a 4 minute walk. Hopefully that can be corrected.

There were little to no instructions regarding the unit.

We loved the view, proximity to the water, and peaceful surroundings. We loved the full kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of blankets and towels, and size of the home. Both indoor and outdoor living is second to none. However, the kitchen was lacking some essentials like can opener and cheese grater and the amenity of cable tv as advertised was unavailable. After several calls with the the management company and waiting for local support to repair the situation, we were told "cable was not available". We were very disappointed as we are sports enthusiast's and cable tv and a big sports weekend was a big reason for choosing this home. We also had a broken towel rack in the bathroom that was unusable.

This place was a wonderful, a 5 star getaway, and very thoughtfully done. I cannot recommend it enough. My sisters and I came from different parts of the county for a week together, and we settled right in and felt at home. Everything we need was there. The location is stunning so we could just sit outside, or inside, and watch the beauty of the water, tides, and sky change around us. We enjoyed using the kayaks, made fire in the fireplace with the wood they provided, and cooked every day in the well stocked kitchen. Finding the road to the house was a little tricky, but you just have to trust in the directions they give, and voila, you will find it. The management team was very responsive. We discovered that the fire pit outside wasn't working and the very next day they had someone out and fixed it. The place was clean, and newly remodeled, and all the appliances worked great, the dishwasher, coffee maker, washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove, and microwave. It was well stocked with towels, extra blankets, extra pillows, cleaning supplies, and the wifi was fast and responsive even with 3 of us on our devices. This was a vacation we will always remember, and part of that, no doubt, had to do with this lovely house in the beautiful location.

Descending the stairs to a spectacular view was just the beginning. The house is so comfy and cozy only rivaled by the well thought out and executed outdoor space. The big windows allowed us to view a family of sea otters, a couple of seals & tons of sea birds.
I look forward to returning durning the summer months to make the most of all the property has to offer.

Would definitely stay again and recommend.
New appliances in the kitchen with high quality pots/pans and knives. Nicely remodeled bathroom with a roomy walk in shower.
Beautiful views inside and out. Great outdoor furniture with multiple sitting areas.
Easy access to the beach in front of the house.
The beds in the twin bedrooms were noisy and the matresses hard. If you like a firm mattress, than no worries.
Be aware there are lots of steps down to the house when you are packing in your groceries and belongings.
The parking is narrow and limited.

What a beautiful property! At high tide, the Hood canal looks like an infinity pool! The paddle boards were a great touch to explore this beautiful place. The house is super charming with huge windows and thoughtful, modern updates. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and the house was squeaky clean. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it!
