Well-appointed basement unit in a quiet neighborhood, with contactless check-in. Pretty much exactly as described and pictured. Lovely electric fireplaces in main room and bedroom, compact but workable kitchen and nice bathroom. Parking is on street but the street is a wide, residential street off the main drag so finding a space was never an issue. The hot tub, which we didn't use, is just as pictured and looked tempting.
We actually weren't tourists, we were getting some work done on our home and since my spouse works from home, needed somewhere for him to be during the day. It is a basement unit so while we never saw the hosts you are under them and they live in the house, you will hear them. There was an odd alarm that went off every few minutes 24/7, at first I thought maybe it was a motion sensor to tell the owners when someone was going down the path to the door, but it never stopped and it was pretty loud. There was one window that did not have blinds/curtains and which detracted from a sense of privacy as you could see a neighbors deck directly through it. Also, the blinds on the front sliding glass door were missing several panels so they did not fully cover the front door.
It would be helpful to leave instructions for the electric fireplaces and the induction stove as we had to Google how to use them. Also, the kitchen sink has a motion sensor that causes it to frequently turn off unless you physically touch it which is a bit odd. A small note on the wall would be a great way to save future guests a bit of frustration.
The bed and especially the couch were not very comfortable, and the small bar stools were extremely rickety, so much that we avoided sitting on them for fear they would break.
Hosts use Vacasa so that is another layer besides booking.com to deal with, and Vacasa texts you a lot and their support was either good or not great depending on what time you reached out. I will say I do not like using one platform to do something then being told I should download someone else's app, that's not what I'm on booking.com for.
