We enjoyed our stay. Staff was excellent. Food was great.
Marfa is a great place to visit. Davis mountains are close, along with the MacDonald observatory.

I was deciding between Hotel Saint George and Hotel Paisano and I’m so glad I chose Hotel St George! It’s clean, modern, fresh. Great location walking distance to galleries and restaurants (we enjoyed Margaret’s for dinner). But what makes it so special is the art! Amazing contemporary pieces in the hallways, lobby, in the rooms. I was walking around mesmerized by all the art, I even walked through all 4 floors just to see what the other floors had on display. Thanks for curating such a special spot ✨

Love that place, the food is amazing.

Lovely modernized hotel in center of town and amidst galleries. Great restaurant and bar. A tad expensive for what it was, and as compared to others nearby. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, some of nicest I’ve met.

When they checked me in they charged me again even though I’d already paid Expedia and then they didn’t know how to refund me and now I’m stuck waiting for the charge to post so I can dispute it. Otherwise a nice place.

Really nice, modern hotel in historic building. Room is spacious and quiet (other than the trains - though innkeepers have managed that in a fun way).

Pretty crappy and cheap of hotel to not give us a breakfast voucher JUST BECAUSE we booked via Expedia. We paid far more than other guests for the night and to not have breakfast included is unacceptable. Never staying here again.

Restaurants within walking distance. Very nice pool with hot tub. Hotel is very clean, I like the minimalist look of it with no clutter.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. Nice decor, good food.
The hotel - rooms, operations, service - nightmare. Our room was too hot to sleep and the A/C did not work. If it weren't for the train that passes so close to the room at night that the room comes w/ear plugs, we could have opened the window to cool off. After 2 sweaty nights, we checked out early.
The woman at the front desk promised a credit for the balance of our stay and an email showing it. After reviewing her email a few days later, I noticed she had applied the credit to the wrong account. This is when things went from not great to really bad.
I called and spoke with Jacky about the issue. She did NOT want to deal with my issue. She insisted I talk to the mgr, which was unnecessary - it's just a credit reversal and reapply. Simple. She was agressive, said the mgr was in a meeting and hung up on me. Rude. I called back and got Andrea Barr, the mgr that was supposedly "in a meeting", told her the whole spiel and she seemed genuinely interesed in helping me. It's now been 1.5 weeks, a few emails inquiring about status, and the credits are still not in my account.
I don't know if they are liars, incompetent or uncaring. There aren't a lot of choices in Big Bend but anything is better than this option.

Room seemed to blow more cool air than warm air.

While there are other options to stay at in Marfa, Hotel Saint George is definitely the premium option. The room was ideal for our overnight stay, clean, comfortable, quiet and with an excellent range of amenities. The hotel's bar is good for a quick cocktail and the lobby store has a well-curated (if expensive) range of design-oriented items to shop. Elegant and simple, the hotel is in an ideal location for all downtown Marfa had to offer us and was well worth the stay.
