We traveled over 3,000 miles to visit my sick father in law for the holiday. We arrived extremely late but when we got in the house the cleanliness of the house was extremely dirty! We wanted to reach out to the host but it being so late and with it being thanksgiving and so busy the next day we couldn't. We felt so uncomfortable and extremely grossed out! The house smelled, there was silverware that still had food on it. There was still old gross food left stuck to the kitchen sink. There was mold in the refrigerator. The restroom mat was filthy and brown from dirt. I had to take a cold shower both nights. We did not feel safe being here. I took pictures and will be posting them. We ended up leaving early due to the condtions. We finally tried reaching out the host but we still have not heard anything back. This is a lesson learned. You get what you pay for. You would think though that regardless if its cheap or not cleanliness is key! Disenfection and Sanitation is key!!
