Highly recommended

This place was very well appreciated, easy to find and short walk to town. Plenty of parking, spacious, comfortable and clean room and very friendly staff. Restaurant available but we didn't try it.

Nothing negative to say at all. Highly recommended.

Very nice stay.

The property was close to town & also had free onsite parking. The rooms were a great size & were spotlessly clean.The bed very comfortable. The room did get hot however, we were able to open the window. The breakfast menu in the morning offered a great variety of choices & all very nice too.

Not much not to like, but the girls in reception could do with some training on how to deal with the public as they didn’t even look up from the computer when checking in & checking out.Weren’t very friendly.

Location is good— easy to walk to town

The reception woman wasn’t friendly. There was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in the room. The bed was just ok, not super comfortable. Honestly, it felt more like staying in an Air b and b than a hotel because of lack of amenities and customer service. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and this property is not worth the money

Excellent stay with great breakfast

The room was larger than expected and very well appointed with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The center of town was a quick easy walk away. Be sure to add breakfast to your stay. The breakfast was definitely among the best that we had in Ireland.

Relaxing, caring place to stay.

The rooms were beautiful. They were very clean had tea/coffee making facilities. It was very quiet even though it’s on a main road. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much for them. Breakfast was very good.

Comfortable, but lacking dining facilities in the evening.

It was spacious, clean and within walking distance of the town.

It was disappointing that the restaurant closed at 5.30 and one had to go to the town to eat and have a drink.

Wonderful rooms within walking distance of Donegal town.

The rooms were newly renovated, spacious, comfortable and clean. Checkin was easy and the breakfast ( good value) was delicious. parking was free and just outside your rooms. I would strongly recommend this accommodation.

Travelling with a broken foot, appreciated being given a ground floor unit and accessible parking. Warm room and comfortable bed. Friendly professional staff

No “little extras”…. no toiletries provided, no fridge in the room.

Central Hotel a lovely place to stay

The staff at the Gateway are excellent. The hotel is wonderfully located within a short walking distance of the town centre. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of menu. We will return again

The Breakfast was Amazing. The Rooms were lovely. The 2 girls at the reception on Saturday were so helpful and kind. It was in a great location and near everything

not the property but the weather. weather was terrible and we had to cancel our trip to Sieve League, which was the main reason for coming to Donegal

Lovely big room, it had everything we needed. Very large and comfy bed.

Just a small matter that the TV lost signal, perhaps it was the weather or the location of the room.
