This is my second stay in Palolem Beach Resort. Last time we were in the big deluxe garden bungalow but it was far from beach. This time we actually booked Cuba Premium Bungalows but due to pandemic setback and Coastal Regulations that was closed. Hotels. Com did a quick full refund of our payment and also suggested amicably that now Palolem Beach Resort has been taken over by the same proprietary and managerial group, so we went there and made a booking. We got an absolutely beach facing cottage with AC and geyser, with two balconies, (only cottage *09 has such facility) one facing the sea and the beach and the other facing the cute garden and the food station. The location is very good, and basic amenities were OK in that cottage.
Food was good and the staff polite. The hotel has a privileged location for driving in, right at the main official entrance, and just beside the official car park. Plus all the shops are right next to it on one side and the boat-launching zone of the beach on the other side. For non-adventurous, cozy family trip it is the best in palolem, and mostly for Indian families. However, the most scenic and exotic part of the beach is on the other side, where Ciarans, Art Resort and the erstwhile Cube premium are located, so those who are avid swimmers and tropical beach vibes lovers like us, should try the absolutely on-the-sand huts on the other side of palolem beach.

The place is beautiful, right on the beach at the center point of Palolem beach. The property has a few well appointed cottages and a few at the back with no specific view or advantage. They have 3 series of cottages. 1xx - oldest block with old hut style structures - with garden view, 2xx - near the rear parking with no view, 3xx - best locations - some has partial sea view - these are nearest to the beach. Their sea view is partially blocked with their open restaurant, which also has a direct access from the beach.
Idling in the restaurant with gazing at the sea is one of the most common activities there. There is no swimming pool. There is a Spa. The entire Palolem beach is dotted with similar properties - sea facing restaurants in front and cottages at the back.
The service is pretty sparse and laid back. Our room did not have any water / bottle / jug. There is room service menu - you can call up the reception and ask for help. However, phone in our room did not work.
Service at the restaurant is slow. You have to work hard to get waiters' attention - a feature I found similar in other 3 restaurants I dined at Palolem - the whole place is so laid back - I think that is the idea. You have to come here for a patient, quiet holiday - not a bad option for a year end vacation.
Overall, the place is not special, but for the awesome location and natural beauty of Palolem beach - one of the most scenic beaches in Goa.
An early morning or evening walk on the beach is a must

No focus on cleanliness. Washrooms are very dirty. Rooms are not so well maintained. Just because we were looking for stay near to beach hence stayed. But definitely below standard levels.

Fantastic stay, we stayed for 6 nights and the only thing that bothered us was the lack of cleaning in the room, other then that great location with everything in easy reach!

Advertised as beachfront but not. Bed hard and uncomfortable all that's missing is the nails, no tea/coffee facilities, no bar fridge, hot water barely works. All very primitive, a 1star place with a 3star price. Much better up and down the road.

This hotel is located in the center point of Palolem beach. This is just beside the main entrance to the beach. The location is the biggest advantage.
Pros:
1) Ample open space and a stage with good height available for you to climb and get a better view of beach.
2) Clean and nicely maintained property.
3) Restaurant food and drink was good except buffet breakfast which had very less variety of food options.
4) They would provide the occupants with sun loungers.
Cons:
1) Room size is not so big if you are with kids or more than 2 adults.
2) I would not recommend anyone to have buffet breakfast due to lack of variety of food.
3) Service at the restaurant is a bit slow

Overall experience was good but room condition can be improvised. There seems to be problem of rodents in some huts. Air conditioner was not fully functional in our room and beds were a little cranky. Food seems to be overpriced. Location is fantastic, very close to market area and beach. Staff is polite.

The only thing great about the resort is the location. The restaurant has a great view.

WE had a great time at this place. We diden´t Expect to much, except that we will be close to the beach. So we did. Roms are ok, and if you want Room cleaning you have to let then know, or ells it want be done. The service was great. Well some time then forget to se if you need someting more, but ells, the service is good. Great people that work there, in restaurant and resection. Internett sucks, so make sure you are there for a good holiday,
Forget about Internett. Then it will be great suprise when you Get it

I thought everyday I wasted Rs4380 by booking online.
They gave me a room which was with a Pathetic Bed and Bedsheets.
shower was very very very slow.
I must say Super Slow.
They will never change your bed sheets or blankets unless you ask them to.
There was no Charging points near bed.
There were only 2 sockets which were in use for TV and Set top box.
You just can't charge your phone while watching TV or sleeping.
You either have to be to be in standing position for hours to use your phone while on charging or Just leave all your important calls and work.
They had other rooms available with charging points but they denied to give one.
REASON : They said we have guests coming day after tomorrow.
I mean come on guys have some Decency to cooperate with your customers who are paying you. Than I asked the manager over the phone, please tell me why can't I shift in another empty room. He said we have guest coming day after tomorrow.
But I dont Understand one thing why they can't or Don't want to give that room to those guests why to me only.
I had 2 year old kid with me and they were giving me an extension code to use.
Even I told him that I have a small child with us we can't afford to take a risk on loose wired electric devices.
He said no I can't give those rooms to you.
I even told the Manager once that you should listen to the customer else I have a right to put the remarks about what is happening with me here. He said GO AHEAD.

Great location but dirty bathrooms and low level rooms. Almost like camping.

We want a full refund on our stay here and the hotel have told us we need to contact you as the booking operator to do so. Please can you contact us immediately about this matter by email. Our room was not as advertised - we were stuffed down in one corner of the resort, the room was mosquito filled, dirty, hair on the floor and mozzies splattered all over the walls, cobwebs and no running water other than a small tap in the corner of a bathroom. If you would like us to send through photo evidence we will happily do so! Even at a discounted rate of 3500 rupees a night, this falls way below the standards of anything in the area. We asked to check out immediately but were told we wouldn't be able to do so as it was booked through hotels.com. The wifi didn't work throughout our two day trip, and I was informed rather nonchalantly by one of the managers that had been the case for 'a long time'. Awful breakfast and rude, unhelpful staff. A new leather bag was left in the room, when I went back about 6 hours later I was told it couldn't be found. I've been back again since and still nothing so I can only assume it was stolen. This experience has severely damaged our trust in hotels.com as a brand and this situation is resolved satisfactorily - we won't be using your service again and will be sharing this terrible experience on social media.

Amongst all other hotels in Palolem, this probably is your best choice. The hotel has very nicely manicured gardens, spacious rooms with a sitting area outside each room. The rooms were tidy but not squeaky clean and I would say it was overall quite an average hotel, a bit pricey for what you get, but you are limited by choices.
The downsides are that the check in time is 1PM which we found quite inconvenient. We also paid for an extra bed for our companion who didn't join us for the trip, but they were unwilling to remove the extra bed cost, which I found pretty ridiculous. Also, because everything is on the ground floor, there were a lot of bugs in the room, for which they provided a net for the bed, but it was a bit of a put off as it was quite stained and appeared very dusty/unclean.

I paid for a full sea view room. the pictures were misleading. The room is shabby at best. Luckily for me they have another property not too far away and they allowed me to switch rooms. The room at the other property was much better, with a better view.

We had a great time here, even though it was rainy season. The staff couldn't have been nicer and food also really nice on he bar/restaurant. Beach view, couldn't have been closer!

It is difficult to get a good impression of this area from the maps and descriptions here... Goa (and India in general) defies any western classification of travel, so it's hard to rate one's experience in Goa against on in the US. The cabins at this resort would probably fall into a 1 star rating in the US. That being said, for India- it was quite nice. The only thing that might be a serious problem is that the bathroom ceiling was probably only 6 feet high and would be really uncomfortable for a tall person. But other than that- the deluxe cabins had hot water/showers- all solar powered, mosquito netting, AC, and everything is right outside the door-- an open restaurant on the beach (breakfast options were included in our room) markets, sunset walks, drop-in yoga, canoeing, swimming in the Arabian Sea, dolphin boat tours, SUPER cheap Ayurvedic massages, plenty of taxis, scooters, night life, etc. We went in late Feb, so it was very quiet, and despite the number of restaurants, bars, and lodgings it wasn't rowdy at all, but very chill. Goa, and this location as well, caters to European and Russian tourists, so the proprietors have taken specials measures to make sure their guests are comfortable- such as english speaking staff, washing food in bottled water, etc. If you approach this trip as you would camping, you'll be quite satisfied. If you are thinking this is a typical American beach resort/mega-hotel, you will be sorely disappointed.

We checked in the hotel quite comfortably, the staff were courteous, only thing missing was TV neither it was detailed that it was not there but otherwise the promo photograph has it please remove the same as it is wrong information about the rooms. While booking we had paid extra for child so generally it is assumed that it includes complimentary breakfast but it is not so. Also the total price should be displayed before hand and not at the time of payment.
PS, brush up your maths skill before going to hotel.
