I booked to stay there but because of the hurricane the roads were wiped out, we were told not to even try going to the area. Tried to call and cancel our stay but they never answered. So I paid for 4 nights I never used. Hope to visit someday…

The inside of my room was nice and so was the bed. The air conditioning was in a weird location making it hard to keep the room cool. Seemed to be a work crew of some kind staying there riding a bus in and out , the manager had his office locked so you rang a bell to get him. I had unsafe vibes from the people there.

Very nice motel ; very clean and kept up with. Quiet and restaurants are within walking distance ! I will recommend this motel to friends and family . I would use this motel again is the near future

Quiet , safe and clean. Easy check out.

Vintage bathtub and fixtures. Nothing fancy, like going back in time, but clean, quiet, and safe.

It was a nice motel for it being a motel.

Great place - was in for a music concert at a brewery very close by - perfect for our needs but will stay everytime we come to Black Mountain

This has been my regular place to stay since I have been traveling here for work. The rooms have been recently refurbished and always clean. Black Mountain is a cool small mountain community town with nice shops and restaurants to visit. Asheville is only about 15 minutes away making it well worth it as a place to stay.

Old “motor hotel” but sufficient for an inexpensive one night stay.

older place but clean and safe

This motel is very rundown. The room was a closed off area behind the office very strangely set up no nightstands, No lamps No floor mats as you came in the door, so made floor very dirty quickly The room is on a slant mattress was way too hard
Would not stay here again!!!

Overnight stay, bed comfortable but stained bed linens. Convenient to downtown.

Acorn Motel is an older motel ... yet they have kept it updated. Heat/AC unit is a wall mount ... but kept the room warm for me (was 35 degrees when I was there). Room has a lot of room. All necessities were in room (ie: hair dryer, shampoo, soap). They are pet friendly - lots of room to walk dogs (I had 3 with me). Outside was very well lit.

Great place to lay over for a work trip, had room to park with my equipment trailer and staff very helpful

It was an economical one night stay. All was ready and nice. Area rugs on the inside would make it better. Gods value and nice stay

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I'm a travel nurse and The Acorn has become my regular place to stay when it has available rooms. The price is very affordable in comparison to the other establishments with the "Asheville tourist" based room prices. Although it is not in Asheville, it's still really not that long of a drive and quite convenient for my needs. I'll continue to stay here until my contract is done and it continues to be a good financial decision!

I just happen to be passing through no longer trip

The owner is renovating the property. Our room had not yet been renovated, But it was reasonably clean.
Owner was very responsive and provided for all the items we requested.

Really need to finish improvements. Very dumpy; needs paint and new fixtures and furniture.
Ok for the price in a very overpriced area.

Lack of any services but for the price it was a great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

This property is a work in progress, under new management for only the past two weeks. Understandably, there is much that needs to be done to upgrade, including installation of an ice machine (in progress), availability of coffee to guests (in progress), and providing WI Fi to guest rooms (in progress). For the exceptionally low price of $70 per night, we could put up with these minor temporary inconveniences. Motel is well-located, rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Everything worked. Manager was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. We would return!

Nice place I’d stay there again and affordable.
