About this house rental
A recently refurbished 2 bedroom home 1 mile from Clifton Suspension Bridge set in peaceful, beautiful woodlands, Leigh Woods. The house is on a very quiet private road surrounded by beauty. Excellent bike trails and fantastic walking tracks wil be on your doorstep. You'll be an easy walk to Clifton Village. Bristol City Centre and the harbour, with all city amenities, are a 12 minute drive away. Return home to a tranquil and private spot where unwinding is inevitable.
This lovely two bedroom (2 or 3 bed option available) home sits adjacent to Leigh Woods. There is no need to jump in a car to find excellent walks and biking trails. All this is at your finger tips. Just over the A369 you will find Ashton Court. Another beautiful area for more walking, biking and there is a 2 small 9 hole public golf course. You can hire bikes here. Ashton Court hosts the renowned annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta. Bristol City Centre and the harbourside are 10-12 minutes away by car or you can jump on a bus from the A369 that takes you directly into town in one direction or to Portishead in the other.
There is an additional small room with a futon bed (single). Please let me know if you have an additional guest that may need this space at an additional cost.
The house is semi detached behind the main house. Access is by a private driveway off a very quiet private road. The house is set in a very special location amongst woodland yet a mere 5 minutes drive to Clifton Village, or better still, a 20 minute walk (1 mile to Clifton Suspension Bridge). Up the road in the other direction is The George Pub in Abbots Leigh, again in walking distance. At the end of your day you can snuggle up in one of the sitting rooms in front of the Wood Burning Stove in winter or open up the French doors onto a beautiful patio and small grass area in Summer. The birdsong is truly magnificent at certain times of the day! You will be in the ideal place to relax after a day of exploring the area.
This rental offers the perfect break for couples or families. The master bedroom has a King Size Bed. The second room can either be 2 singles or 1 Super King. There are 2 sitting rooms. One with TV and one without! The house has some original features and every room is thoughtfully furnished and offers a tasteful and cosy space to unwind surrounded by nature but so close to town!
I am open to discuss check in on any day of the week when possible. Just send me a message to see if we can make it work.
Access to the house is up a private road/track. There is parking available for up to 3 cars, however, if there are 3 cars you may need to reverse out of the driveway as turning could be tricky.
Guests have full use of the house and their own private garden. There is also a garage with table football to use.
The main house's garden is directly behind this rental property. This, however, will not have any impact on your stay. We will respect the privacy of our guests.
There will be a basket of wood for guests use on arrival for the Wood Burning Stove.
4G is limited in the area. However, the wifi is good. There is a spare data socket for use in the kitchen should you so need it.
The house is on a septic tank. It is very important to adhere to the information given in the house please.
The house is not toddler proof so to speak but we are happy for young families to stay. There are, for example, low level tables perfect for little hands grabbing things and the Wood Burning Stove when hot could be hazardous. There is one stair gate for guests use and a travel cot both on request. There is a high chair in the house for guests too.
If you're bringing your dog please make sure you have added them to your booking. There is a £30 charge per booking for them. Thanks!
Bristol now has a Clean Air Zone. Please be mindful of this to avoid any unwanted charges. Clifton is not included in the zone.

We had a lovely week at wood lodge with our cocker spaniel. The house was great with everything we needed. Super inside and out on the patio. Great walks on the doorstep and we thoroughly enjoyed Bristol and surrounding area. Thank you for the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival.
