Lovely room, bathroom was amazing. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough to help.
4.3
Great location; easy check in; fabulous pool hot tub area with amazing view; great room with perfect view out onto the sea. What is there not to love you say ….
No access to balcony so couldn’t use it
Not told that there was a wedding going on so weren’t able to have a drink in the bar nor eat in the restaurant after 7 so when you’re only here for one night it’s disappointing
4.3
Nice hotel in great location, room good ,great views.
4.3
The stay was decent and nice. I had a nice view of the sea from my window. The only thing that was annoying was that the lifts weren’t working.
4.3
Hotel is well located with great views off the ocean and only a short walk to town but you will need to negotiate a step hill to do so.
We were in room 302 on the third floor there is a lift , room was clean but not very well maintained , shower did not work , fridge did not work , and we could only get one channel on the TV , towels and robes were supplied
Staff were friendly and polite and very helpful , breakfast was okay standard fare and very well cooked but the choice of a hot breakfast was quite limited without having to pay a supplement for the other items on offer
I am sure this was a one off but my wife also found a piece of plastic in her eggs whist eating
4.3
light did not work, the windows were dirty, and the bathroom was the best part of the room. furnishings were dated throughout the hotel, bar and dinner service were okay. the breakfast staff were awful, the eggs were made from powdered eggs and I was not offered a refund even though I did not consume the breakfast. the room was over priced and I would not recommend staying here
4.3
Was our wedding anniversary we both enjoyed our stay swimming pool, Suna/ steam room and hot tub was fabulous . However the hot tub was not very powerful.
Rooms was restocked daily With Teas, coffee, sugar and small water bottles and also toiletries for the bathroom. All the staff was very pleasant and friendly housekeeping was very good. Overall very very good and we. The hotel on a whole was beautiful
4.3
Fabulous views and staff. We had issues with shower flooding bathroom floor which was sorted with quickly, our room was a little tired and needed some attention but clean and comfortable. Views amazing! Could do with aircon or fans as room was quite hot over night.
4.3
Beautiful hotel inside. our room was a great size views were fantastic. Loved the stairs very grand staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room was wonderful very clean views fantastic.
4.3
Inside & Rooms excellent the outside needs a lot of attention

Only stayed for 2nights but shower gel and drinking water not replenished and there were a few stains on the carpet. Screw caps missing on the bath panel and exposed rawlplugs where something had once been on the wall. Slight mould patches on the bath and around edges of windows. Overall nothing major and it didn’t detract from my stay but for £200 per night I think these simple issues should be addressed. It would probably take 15 minutes to address all of the points raised. Don’t be put off by these comments as it is a very nice place to stay and I will probably be back next year.
4.3
The hotel was well situated and beautifully positioned to see the sea far and wide. Easy access to Newquay town centre just a gentle stroll away. The room was beautiful well maintained and clean, all the interactions with staff were great. We didn’t actually eat at the hotel so can’t make comment on that. We made use of the indoor pool and steam room and sauna which was included in our stay and lovely. We didn’t use the heated outdoor pool in comparison this was a little lack lustre it definitely needs a refresh. The parking was easy and free for guests.
4.3
The double rooms spacious and clean .Liked the poolside view rooms as they also gave us the sea view as well .Staff lovely and service good

Having read previous reviews, arrived with an open mind. Yes the building exterior does look grubby. It is on a headland and battered by the elements. Issues: limited breakfast. No fresh berries, nuts, pastries often ran out. Slowest toaster in the world! Already over £16 and then extra for kippers/salmon.
Silks again a limited menu. Most worrying was a chef that kept smoothing over his hair and not washing his hands after.
Bedroom a good size. More drawers needed. Shower door seal broken, controls difficult to turn (think proper handles missing), shower door handle missing. Towels often stained. Pillow cases were stained. Tea tray not replenished on two days. Cobwebs on ceiling, thick dust under sink in bathroom.
Slowest lift in the world.
Directional signage poor e.g. to indoor/outdoor pools, to reception if you enter by Silks door
First impressions were good. Lacking in attention to detail.
4.3
The hotel exterior is in need of a complete overhaul, painting in particular!! otherwise a very pleasant stay clean and comfortable

We had a balcony, however totally wood wrotton glass missing - door locked for safety

Brilliant stay from check in staff so friendly and informative . Lovely indoor pool so warm and clean. Outdoor pool heated and perfect for a few lengths and sunbathing beside pool. We were allocated a poolside room which was huge and had a large bed so comfortable, spotless towels and bedding. Hard to believe the complaints some people put on reviews. They pick on things that are not really important and probably worse in their own homes. We were allocated a poolside room which was very quiet. People should remember it’s been a hard few years for the hospitality sector.
Breakfast is lovely in a beautiful setting with sea views. We had dinner in the restaurant on our last night. Service was great ,not rushed very relaxing and food was delicious. The Marlborough Sauvignon was very chilled and good quality. Will definitely recommend and be returning soon hopefully

Easy check in staff very friendly and efficient lovely pool

Room ok , breakfast delicious, staff ok, that's where it ends, advertise AA rosette restaurant, don't believe it, menu was small unimaginative and expensive how is it rosette, fish & chips, burger and a couple of very expensive dishes , that's it, the wine list is a laugh, fine wines, not, there was nothing on the list for anyone who didn't like Sauvignon blanc, the head waiter , we assumed he was & trying to tell us that a mcguigan wine was fine, very expensive and one we knew from our local supermarket, he tried but we know wines as have worked with many a fine wine over the years, don't be fooled by this bloke, he needs training in wine & people skills, once we said no to the wine he didn't want to know, we had water with our meal as refused to pay £35-40 for a wine that we could of got from the local Forecourt garage down the road.
It's a bit like faulty towers with attitude, such a shame as this place could be quite special, we knew how bad it was when we booked for dinner on a Friday night & we are the only ones there, red flag but we couldn't face the walk into town from this place that is situated away from anywhere decent. Our room had an obvious plumbing problem as the sink gurgled all day & night, we were just waiting to see what was washed up every time this happened, the maintenance man has his work cut out here, it's an old delapidated building that needs a lot of money spent on it, so much empty space which could be used better, no bar open, just miserable.

Excellent location with good views.

The historic parts of the hotel were wonderful. The welcome from the receptionist was first rate. The balcony suite was massive and had great views of the sea. However, the decor and finishes were a bit tired. Nevertheless, I would recommend staying here and would come back.
4.3
I was very impressed with the hotel, the only downside, hence only 4* was the bed. The mattress seemed to slope from head to feet with a dip just below pillow level. This felt very strange and I only managed to rectify it by sleeping in reverse, head where feet should be and feet where head should be.
All staff were very polite and friendly, but a special mention about Jamie in the reception area is required for his attention to detail, constant helpfulness and every so friendly personality. A credit to him and very much a benefit to the hotel.
4.3
Only complaint was we booked a double bed and got 2 single beds pushed together, which was a little uncomfortable
4.3
Atlantic Hotel is nice, has friendly staff and good food. The apartment was excellent with beautiful views. It is situated close to the town centre and has scenic cliff walks. Close to Fistral Beach.
4.3
Me and my partner had the best experience staying at the Atlantic, it was our first times visiting Newquay, and the hotel was equally as great to be in as the town and beaches were. The staff were very friendly, reliable, and always helpful with queries and issues, the upkeep and servicing of our room were always done in a very smart and efficient way, and all the facilities around the hotel were very easy to use and very beneficial to the stay as well. There wasn’t a single bad thing that either of us could say about the hotel really because we really did have the best time, and hopefully if a chance does come around to come back, we definitely will do so without any hesitation.
4.3
The hotel environment is excellent, the bed base can be two but mattress needs to be one. Great hotel overall👌

Absolutely loved it staff great and made my granddaughter feel so special and nothing was to much trouble xxxxx

Three days in this hotel really dampened our experience of Cornwall.
We received a warm welcome from the reception team. We booked a balcony suite with sea views. The first night there was a prom directly beneath our room - the music and vibrations from the sound system was ridiculous. We called to see if we could have something more suitable - we were told we could move the following day or to a standard room. We arranged to move the following day.
We moved the following day and there was a wedding - it was better but again a lot of noise. The room was a mismatch of furniture and decor. Our Atlantic Ocean view was ruined by bird mess from the gulls. The roll top bath was stunning, only you could not enjoy it because of the stench of blocked drains coming from the bathroom.
The only reason I stayed in the hotel was because I paid on arrival - I would have refused to pay just short of £600 for this weekend. The facilities are poor. The ‘champagne’ bar is no such thing. We ended up spending most of our time away from the hotel and even went down to the Headland hotel to enjoy a drink in a nice hotel bar. The whole place needs some care, attention and a lot of money spending on it. Please think carefully if you are booking this hotel for a special occasion - the only thing I am sure about is that you will never want to return.
4.3
It was an amazing room, but unbearably hot, fortunately we asked for a portable fan which was delivered to our room and made it very comfortable then. The indoor pool and spa were unusable due to the unbearable heat in the room and the outdoor pool wasn’t open early or late enough for us to use. Beautiful hotel otherwise.
4.3
Lovely hotel staff friendly. Lift had been repaired on day of arrival. Was happy to use it as lift engineers on site. ( I’m claustrophobic) by the evening lift had sign saying out of order. Reception staff unaware. So I had to carry case down 3 flights next morning. But would happily stay again.
4.3
Stunning decor great views of Newquay town, harbour and out to sea. Staff very efficient and friendly. Restaurants service and food excellent. A very comfortable enjoyable stay. A pity the lift was out of order. Everything available in the accommodation apart from USB sockets so you need to take adaptor plugs.
4.3
Too many items in room not working - shower, telephone to reception, no non slip mat for shower or bath
4.3
The feel of the hotel and its decor was of a classy establishment, where I half expected Poirot to appear at any moment. However, it was showing its age in places. Our room had a number of faults which some general maintenance could put right, but the staff were very apologetic and did all they could to make up for it (there were no other rooms available). The walk up to the hotel from the lower road was steep but manageably short. The views were excellent, with plenty of space in the lounge and dining areas. All the staff were friendly and attentive. A special thanks to Jamie who ensured we would not be disappointed for our next visit.
4.3
The hotel was very relaxing and convenient as a base to visit other beaches and towns.
4.3
Only a 5 min walk to Fistral beach, sea view from my bedroom was fabulous

Hotel is lovely and Grand .
Staff very welcoming and friendly
Room needs refurbishing as damp patches on wall and we reserved a room with a balcony but it was inaccessible due to ongoing refurbishment at hotel . We were not told this before we arrived and paid for a sea view with balcony so it was extremely disappointing when we were told we could not use the balcony
4.3
we had the poolside room which was spacious, quiet and comfortable with a sea view.
4.3
We where disappointed on my birthday night as we only pay cash ,but the hotel was cash only but thanks to the lovely lady at breakfast contacted the manager and they let us pay cash the second night ,but it did spoil my 75th birthday to have travel around to fine a place to eat also on our second day we did not have pur room cleaned our had new clean towels
