Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . North Cottage is in the heart of School Aycliffe, perfectly situated for exploring the many local attractions and places of interest. Offering spacious, home from home, accommodation, it has the benefit of well-proportioned living spaces with a living room, separate snug/reading room/kitchen, conservatory, and dining area. Outside is an attractive lawned garden with patio areas to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or family barbecue.
With convenient links to major road networks, the A1 and A68, this proves to be a good central base for exploring. Just a short drive away, you’ll find the market town of Darlington, with its mix of independent shops, cafés and restaurants, theatre and much more. The Cathedral City of Durham, a World Heritage Site, can be reached within a 20-minute drive. Durham is home to many popular tourist attractions including the Lumiere Festival, jazz festival, book week, arts week, the Gala Theatre, castle and cathedral, as well as shops and an excellent choice of places to eat and drink.
In Bishop Auckland, a must see is the outdoor spectacular Kynren - An Epic Tale of England. This historical pageant receives thousands of spectators each year and prior booking is essential.
