(Note that you might need to reprogram several digital clocks - or let them blink at you)

We have tried to think of everything possible to make your stay comfortable and effortless.

The living room is spacious and has a large, comfortable sectional couch with a chaisse lounge near the gas fireplace. The blower on the fireplace, along with the brand new forced air heater, will keep you comfy and warm in the cooler months, but you can also snuggle up with a blanket from the blanket ladder while you are watching the 65" Smart TV with sound bar. Dim the recessed ceiling lights for added ambiance. In the summer, the central air will keep your cool and comfortable.

Head into the kitchen that is fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, cutting boards, and other necessities. The kitchen has multiples of silverware, glasses, plates, bowls, etc. Lots of small appliances including slow cooker, toaster oven (large enough to fit an 8x8 casserole dish), pop-up toaster, blender, mixer, air popcorn popper, food processor, George Forman grill, waffle maker, etc. We provide a selection of spices, oils, salt and pepper for you to use; plus baggies, foil, parchment paper, plastic wrap, etc. We also will start you off with some coffee (regular and decaf), teas, hot cocoa & marshmallows, and sugar packets on our coffee bar that has a drip coffee maker, a french press, and a milita cone (pour over). Additionally, there is a traditional kettle for the stove and an electric kettle.

All three bedrooms have been finished with nightstands on both sides; plus luggage racks, laundry baskets, and hangers in each closet. Beds have freshly laundered linens, a blanket, and comforter/quilt. There is an extra blanket in each bedroom closet and additional blankets/quilts are staged around the house, should you desire them. Each bedroom has blackout curtains and a ceiling fan with light to further customize your comfort. Additionally, each bedroom has a full length mirror and a close up mirror so you don't need to crowd the bathrooms.

The full bathroom is stocked with bath towels, hair/hand towels, and washclothes. Additionally, we provide paper towels, cotton balls, cotton swabs, makeup remover sheets, bar soap, liquid soap, a hair dryer, and air freshener. In the shower is shampoo, conditioner, gel body wash, and bar soap.

The front closet has books, games, and puzzles for you to enjoy. There is also a traditional vacuum, broom, dry mop, dust pan, etc in case you have a spill that you need to tend to. We just added a stick vacuum that we love for those quick pick-ups.

There are three desk areas for work, puzzle making, makeup application, or whatever you need.

We have left extra: Paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, towels, bedding, blankets, pillows, etc.

In nice weather, there is a table and chairs on the deck and a gas grill. The yard is large and level.

The house also has a full house generator. Glenville notoriously has an unstable electrical grid during summer and winter storms. You can book with confidence that the heater/air, lights, TV, refrigerator, etc, will continue to run if the power goes out.

We have provided a house manual with lots of information including:
- where things are in the house
- the closest place for coffee, non-chain coffee shops near by, big coffee near by
- where things are in town
- recommendations on stores and restaurants
etc.

Have any questions? Something isn't listed in the house manual? We hope that you will message us if you have any questions!

During the spring/summer/fall, we might have to perform landscaping activity during your stay. We will do our best to arrange a convenient time. Lawn clean up takes between 1 and 4 hours. (The town is particular so we must maintain it).

In the winter months, we do not provide snow removal service, but there will be shovels in the breezeway and can provide phone numbers to plow services, if needed.

The house is near a small municipal airport that also is the home to Stratton Air National Guard base so there are often small planes flying overhead and large military planes over the main part of town.

There are many trains that run through Glenville so low horns can be heard in the background.

Our fire department has a horn that alerts the volunteers to an event. Don't worry if you hear it! All is well.

We remodeled this home in 2023 and just made her available for rent starting Thanksgiving 2023. We are still working on the yard/landscaping.

Please note:
There is absolutely NO SMOKING allowed on, in, or around the property. $1000 Additional Charge for that Clean Up
We do not allow pets. $1000 Additional Charge for cleaning up after unallowed pets plus fees for any damage caused.

We had a baseball tournament in the area for my 16y/o son and stayed here with another parent and their son. From the first point of contact with owners this was a great choice. The home is cute, comfortable and they have been extremely thoughtful on all the offerings. The kids played wiffle ball in the yard everyday and were so happy to have a "home" to come back to after each game. Great neighborhood and literally 5-30 minutes from anywhere. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything along with the bathrooms. If back in the area again will definitely try to book this home. Thank you for a great stay! Highly recommend.

Husband, wife, 2 teens, and my MIL stayed here for a family memorial service. The layout was perfect. We even had more family over for dinner and we were all very comfortable. Super convenient to groceries and whatever else we needed. It was a great, quiet neighborhood that made for very pleasant morning walks. The host was very responsive. Thanks for everything!

We stayed May 3 thru 5. This rental is in a quiet neighborhood. The pictures for the listing are accurate. The kitchen is first class, and well equipped with everything needed and desired. The bedrooms were fine, and the beds were comfortable. The full bathroom has a shower that that will get as hot as you desire. The host, Gena, was prompt in her communications and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this property! Paul
