It's more like a dom than a hotel.

Good for retreats.

At first the stay seemed lovely, the room was clean enough despite the bathroom not locking and water damage in the bathroom. The first night we bought "meal tickets" to eat in their facility ($29/pp adult) and the meal was... flavorless chicken tacos. Very disappointing and absolutely not a $29 meal. The next day my kids (carrying their sand pails and all) attempted to go to the sandy beach and were turned away by a lifeguard saying we did not have the right wristband color. He said we could ask at the front desk but but there was a fire alarm going on so "it might take awhile". When we did ask we were told only that simple HOTEL guests cannot use the beach or other activities, we'd have to upgrade. By then it was 4pm and no reason to (+ aggravated by the whole thing, crying kids, etc.). Breakfast (included) was very medicore though had a nice cold yogurt bar. One working waffle maker (which you do yourself) so very long lines. There was also a nauseating scent to the building from the cafeteria, my husband said it was a mix of cooking oil and cleaning products but it was very overpowering through the building but didn't make our room smell.
Housekeeping was nice when we needed something (I looked for sheets for the pull out couch but they pre-make the bed in it which is a bit odd to me but okay.)
Parking is frustrating, far away, fighting for unloading/loading spots.
I would not stay here again, very disappointing food and experience.

Check in was easy and friendly. We were given a tiny room in a run down dormitory style building, peeling wallpaper and folded up beds leaning against the wall. There were no amenities in the room beyond a sink, toilet and shower. No refrigerator (which was needed for a diabetic). No AC either, just a fan. Outside was mid 80’s and inside much hotter. When we asked for a room with AC they offered another fan. After much deliberation we were offered a room with AC for an up charge that literally DOUBLED what we had already paid. Breakfast was included but the food was cold. Not worth the price. Know what you’re getting into if you book here.
4.2
No air conditioning in room the fan hardly moved any air. No identification on the building. Two beds in room, a double and a twin Window in bathroom didn’t open and no exhaust fan
4.2
Wonderful location, staff, and grounds. Plenty of activities and occasional live music. Peaceful! My friend was not prepared for the older dorm like room with no A/C, TV, Frig, but that is on me. I loved the true retreat experience.

This place was awful… do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else!!
4.2
This place does NOT belong being listed among other hotel/motel listings….very deceiving pictures/ad descriptions….people with health conditions beware!

No ac but managed.

I discovered a gem that i did not know about. This is not only an Inn but a resort with plenty to do for all members of the family. Next time, I will come with a full package and ready to play. ;)
4.2
The property was very pretty. I was shocked that the rooms had no AC. I was in town for a family event and couldn’t get ready in my room because it was so hot and my room was 100 degrees. I had to asked family if we could shower and get dressed in their home so I could blow dry my hair etc. I was prepared for the room not having a tv which was not a problem but the no AC should have been on the website. Also, the parking is pretty far from the hotel and in the dark walking was very dangerous. I have never been so disappointed in a get a way It may be nice in fall but stay away in summer

It was not at all clear when booking online that this property was no longer an “Inn” but a YWCA sort of campsite. Our “room” was not in the Inn/Hotel but in a kind of outlying dorm room building with no air conditioning and an uncomfortable double bed. We had to park and walk through the wooded area and down some steps to reach the building in which we were staying. The spartan room cost $160 a night which was absurd for the facility. The hotel setting is gorgeous and view of the lake magnificent but the facilities were entirely unexpected. The room was clean, with nice towels and soap/shampoo, and had we known what we were in for we might have been able to enjoy the time there. But with no hair dryer in the room, I could not even shower. We could not leave fast enough.

nice view of lake George.

This was very different from what I expected but fine. The room was clean and quiet. The “resort” has many buildings and the rooms are basic with no tv or phone. The restaurant has one serving a night and is cafeteria style. All was very acceptable and I have no complaints.

Beautiful and peaceful

The bed was very uncomfortable. And breakfast was only offered from 8 to 9 AM --- not very convenient.

Good

Except for cold breakfast, everything else was great

Truly old fashioned, professional customer service. It was so peaceful - we didn’t know there was anyone else there. And breakfast had great choices- cafeteria style.
FYI- no TVs- but it was fine.

Amazing people

Baaad very baad ..no AC in the room..entire room had very bad smell..beds are not conformable..there were dead insects all over the window..had to sleep on ground..for entire stay..I would not recommend it..wasted $120 per night.
4.2
Everything is perfect, expect wi-fi. There is wi-fi problem, its not sufficient enough

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful ans professional. Very beautiful area with quiet and beautiful beach.
4.2
Beautiful view , comfortable bed , everyone was very nice
4.2
Nice location. But as it is a remote facility food issue needs to be developed.
4.2
The Inn was very clean and the staff was wonderful.
4.2
Beautiful area in the middle of nature and friendly, welcoming staff. Would definitely stay here again!
4.2
The Inn where some of the rooms are does not have air conditioning, which I got lucky that it wasn't the height of summer yet. The room itself was okay but the walls are INCREDIBLY thin and you can hear every footstep of the people above you. The parking is a good 5-8ish minute walk away from some of the rooms which wouldn't be a major issue during the day but at night the road back to the rooms is not fully lit! It's almost pitch black for sime parts which does not feel safe at all. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, pretty mediocre, borderline not great. I'm sure if staying for the activities/amenities it's worth it. The only good thing I experienced was the fact the grounds are right on Lake George.
4.2
Room was very clean and updated. Grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed walking down by the lake. The staff was exceptionally courteous, friendly, and helpful.

This is a very unique and comfortable place.
4.2
A very nice quiet and peaceful place that is redolant of the past glory of the Lake George Region
4.2
This is a very scenic resort by Lake George. Good for the family or couples’ travel. Clean and essential room supplies. No TV or other entertainment setups in the room though, as far as I’m concerned.
4.2
Amazing place. Over 700 acres and the location on the water is gorgeous! The staff are all helpful and we all left with a sense of being refreshed. Very calming place. We had free breakfast with our stay which was very nice. Salt n pepper those eggs though. Rooms are dorm style so if you are a four seasons type this might not be for you. The older, simpler time feel was not lost on us. In the warmer weather there are activities such as disc golf, cornhole, shuffleboard, swimming, basketball, tennis, pickleball, and probably lots more. You could also find a comfy chair on a deck or porch and read a book. Restorative is a great work for what goes on here. We will definitely be back.
4.2
Wonderful location on the Lake and a fantastic buffet breakfast included.
4.2
Family friendly. Many activities available for kids. Staff were very caring and helpful.
4.2
Lovely setting. Great staff.
4.2
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and comfortable and had the best deck with a lake view!
4.2
Staff were pleasant / helpful. Some buildings on property are in poor shape and should be taken down. The building where our room was (William Boyd Center) nice and the dinning area is also in same building. Buffet breakfast was better than most hotel types. There are few if any, restaurants near this property. There appear to be many activities such as tennis, pickle ball, shuffle board, etc. on property. No TV in room.
4.2
A very quiet location. Peaceful. Excellent staff.
