due to the adverse weather we had to leave a day early, but because we could not leave till after 12 0clock were were refused a refund of the overnight stay.

Friendly staff. Good location.
4.4
Very clezn room/bathroom..plenty of towels and spare pillows ..easy check in and friendly staff..
4.4
Very dated and the rooms smelt like stale smoke. The bed was creaking and had broken wood sticking out from the bottom of the frame. There were stains on the carpets too. The bathroom was small and the shower leaked onto the floor.
4.4
Proper value for money (£56) for a friday night booking.
Free parking, pub attached that gives discount to hotel residents too.
But best is that the staff care; if you have an issue the staff will sort it.
4.4
Bar staff failed to give promised 20% tood discount and I had to ask again after discovering I'd been overcharged.
Room was excellent as was breakfast.
4.4
Reasonably priced property with good location. Stayed during summer and the temp. was quite high. There was no air conditioning in the room and could not leave the window open due to mosquito problem with dense bushes and large tree just outside of window. Found 3 large spiders in the room.
4.4
Food and service very good
4.4
Excellent location, very quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely outlook and great food in pub.
4.4
Felt like a hostel, bathroom so disgusting, room smelt like mold. Headboard fell on my 4 year old was horrendous

We had a great stay, the hotel is a bit dated and could so with a uplift, we travelled as a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) was a bit disappointed that we get kicked out of the dining part at 9pm! We had a long travel day and arrived at 6pm and couldnt get a table booked until 730pm, got told that it was a 45min wait for food but then kept telling us we needed to leavw by 9pm as we had children! Other than that it was good.
4.4
Nice canal basin outlook from decking

I think this place was an old Premier Inn which is the loss really as it is a nice big hotel and a nice big pub at the side backing onto the lake and in the summer time it is beautiful to sit on the deck and eat and drink.
My only negative would be lack of a coffee machine at breakfast time I said was only instant available
4.4
Staff rude wen leaving property accusations
4.4
Nice comfortable room and well located for the adjoining pub and other restaurants nearby.
Good sized pub area and outside seating, which are nice on a warm day
4.4
Staff very friendly and helpful at all times, restaurant food also excellent both at breakfast and dinner.
4.4
Great location and the staff were excellent and helpful
4.4
Great find, a beautiful view from the room.
Very well appointed room with all necessary facilities including hairdryer and iron.
A little warm in the room but a fan was provided, would have liked a thinner bed sheet however as quite hot.
Very comfortable and well maintained room
Ate in adjoining restaurant, nice food and good prices, nice to have 20% off due to staying at hotel. Only downside was being charged an extra £1 for a small amount of Nann bread to go with my meal and only offering large drinks.
4.4
Great hotel for what I needed and close to the airshow I went to the next day.
4.4
Clearly an ex Premier Inn hotel BUT in a much better state than premier inn hotels we have recently stayed at.
Lovely position overlooking a marina with berthed canal boats
4.4
staff friendly, decent sized room, and bed priced well
4.4
After hideous traffic delays we only arrived at 1.00am, but we were checked in straight away and able to head to our room immediately. This was so welcome after the journey we had endured.
The carpet in the room could have done with a vacuum, it was a bit dusty.
4.4
Ordered drinks on the app, but had to go to the bar after 20 mins as they had not arrived
4.4
Staff are very friendly. Very down to earth and welcoming.
4.4
Rooms used to belong to Premier Inn so are of the same standard and decoration as Premier Inn. Very friendly reception staff, clean, comfortable rooms. We stayed on a bank holiday Saturday night and despite the hotel being fairly full it was quiet with no disturbances. Food in pub next door very good value for money.
4.4
Rooms are tired, need a refurb. No fridge and only one plug socket.
Bathrooms are very old.
Found a pair of old socks and dirty pair of sliders under the bed.
Pub attached had kids running everywhere when FA cup was on. When we popped in after the match with our kids and it wasn’t as busy we were told it was strictly over 18s.
Didn’t seem to mind when parents were spending on drinks during the match….

It’s an ok place to stay away from main city and fairly easy to get too. Only issue was the pub next door (which does your breakfast) does get rather loud and busy if you’re looking at grabbing an evening snack. There is however a Fish an Chip shop nearby plus a Greggs/Subways and Oriental Restaurant in walking distance. Best restaurant I went to was in the Billing Village (opposite the BP garage/Oriental Restaurant) called Imchai, which is a Thai restaurant and really worth a visit for a bite to eat (opens Tue-Sun until 2100).

Great stay at The Quays. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Always made the effort to speak to you as you pass reception. As a guest of the hotel, we had discount in the restaurant which was a bonus also. Rooms were tidy, clean and spacious. And had good facilities such as iron, hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo and kettle.
Only thing was, you couldnt control the AC in the room, it was centralised.
4.4
Had two great nights sleep, room was cleaned before my second night which I didn’t expect. Nice to stay in a hotel where you can open the windows. Everywhere was spotless and very well maintained. Attached restaurant had great food.
4.4
Lovely hotel and great views across the water
4.4
The hotel was really good bathroom a little tired but having stayed the same week in a premier inn and a travel lodge this was much better
4.4
Exceptional value hotel, everything you need. Great standard.
4.4
Overall the staff and rooms were excellent for price point. Breakfast was great value. The restaurant was very rowdy in the evenings.
4.4
Great hotel, friendly staff and the room ate spacious, comfortable and clean. Although, there is a tinge of a sewage smell coming onto the hotel site. But it isnt the hotels fault and it doesnt impact your stay. I would definitely stay again if i was in tne area. Perfect place to stay if youre visiting Sywell for a car show 👍

Second time no hot water no apology nothing
Won’t be back

Good value for money, i was told it had originally been a premier inn. Could not fault anything, i would stay again.

Special thank you to Trish, Julia and Alicia who made our stay at The Quays a memorable one.

The receptionist was outstanding. She remembered my colleagues names, kept us up to date on who had checked in and plans for dinner, even offered to run up my bags as i needed to collect a colleague from the station.

We stayed for one night. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were a bit hard for us. It was a very quiet night, which was nice. Had the facilities that we needed. It was an incredibly hot night for one of us, even with a window open.
