I had booked a luxery suite at Keflavik Hotel, to pamper myself.
Shortly after i arrived, I found out, the in room jacuzzi was broken. I called the reception, and a lady came up and confirmed, that she was not able to control the control panel either. She said she would contact service staff.
The service guy came around 7.30. He walked in to my room with dirty outdoor footwear. He informed me, that there were water in the control panel and he would try to figure out, what he could do about it.
At 9.45 PM i still have not heard anything and i contacted the reception again to check on the status. A man informed me, that they had technical problems and the jacuzzi would not be up and running and that the balcony jacuzzi was still cold, and then he hung up on me.
He soon after called back and informed me, that i could as a compensation go to the bar for drinks, and that the public jacuzzi on the balcony now was warm, so that I could use it. I informed him, that I was not interested in neither. My purpose of my retreat was not to get drunk in a public bar og to sit in a public jacuzzi. I needed privacy.
I had now spend my whole first night in your luxury suite, trying to get help with technical problems and i went to bed in a bad and sad mood.
For breakfast I have booked scrambled eggs with vegetable, coffee, a selection of cheese, fruit and cake. It came as planned between 8.30-9.00 AM.
The person that brought me the breakfast had such a bad, that i had to open the window after he left.
I realised, that there were no plate, cutlery or bred to go with the food, so i had to call the reception again, so that they could bring me the items.
This room is a 1000 euro per night room in a 5 star hotel, but the service was a 2 star hotel worthy.
When i checked out i asked the management to contact me. They did not do that. I wrote them an email to express my disappointment. They have not answered that mail either.
Do never book a room at this hotel.
The service.

The staff are lovely, the rooms are amazing and the breakfast service to the top floor was really nice!
The suite with hot tub is the only room advertised as having a hot tub in the facilities. It turns out that the two hot tubs are communal to all who stay in Diamond Suites and not exclusive to the room as the description would suggest.

First of all I would like to say how beautiful the room was and how friendly ball the staff where couldn't do enough to make our stay even more special then it already was, the hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to there best room for our stay due to mine and my wife's to be engagement. And even with the small problems i listed infant recommend this hotel enough, we will be staying here from now on each time we return to Iceland. Thankyou
Before I put dislikes over all I would like to say this was a fantastic stay and these are only very little things, purely to try and help other people work around on there visit.
1st I had pre ordered a few treats to be in the room and only some things where there others I had to ring up but was soon sorted by the staff so no problems.
2nd the breakfast you pre order and leave it hanging on your door both mornings a few items where missing but apart from that it didn't make much difference and was lovely.
3rd it could be a little noisy I found this down to every time someone closed a door in one of the other rooms it would shake our door and make some noise in the day this is fine but at night woke me up a few times.
