We were pleasantly surprised at the space and amenities provided in this executive studio!
PROS
The building has 24-hour security and you can only enter via digital fingerprint - a big safety plus!
The restaurant on the ground floor provided quick & easy coffee, breakfast and lunch options and the quality was excellent.
Communication with the managers was quick & efficient.
WiFi was fast and never disconnected.
Laundromat in the basement was very useful - washers & dryers are new.
2 minor complaints/suggestions:
1. The TV in this unit needs to be replaced. Screen image is warped.
2. People from Canada & US cannot use the laundromat app as the phone text validation does not work for our phone numbers. Had to hunt various stores to find the special coins needed. Would be helpful to have a coin machine located in the laundromat.

Was amazing, the service of the security team at Moreno BA was special. The room spacious and very clean.

Everything was great! Except that at night you could hear a lot of street noise and people talking, and the bed was a little harsh; other than that, it was very clean and nice.
4.0 / 10.0
Very clean and comfortable studios with kitchenette in a large apartment building, no traffic noise due to backyard orientation of most rooms. In summer (from October 31) there is a swimming pool on the rooftop. Also the service is perfect and available 24/7 for any problem you might have.
What does not work well, is the communication BEFORE arrival: We sent 3 messages via hotels.com, which the management did not receive. So you must wait until THEY contact you, which will be around 10 a.m. on the day of arrival, as the system cannot generate the 8 digit entrance code earlier. Depending on your neighbours, the beep-beep and other sounds may be disturbing for some people, as the long halls of the building are not carpeted. On arrival, you must present documents to security personnel (photos of which previously sent to the management), and you will be taken a photo and an index finger scan to open the barrier (seldom works, but as security is present 24/7, this in not really a problem).
If you want to have breakfast or a snack in your room, there are two supermarkets in Bolivar Street, just a few steps from the building, and a good bakery in Bolivar Street 176 open 6-21 hrs. Apart from the communication problems before arrival, we had a great stay and will certainly come back.

Although my stay at Moreno 550 started off rocky, it was ultimately a good experience, and I would recommend it to friends, and when I come back to BA, I would stay here again.
This is from an American perspective, for context and standardizing.
The small nits first. The front desk security only speaks Spanish - so bring your translator app. Check-in was not super smooth, as there were a few moments of confusion, but ultimately I got in. Once you're in the system, security to the building is very good, and everything was smooth.
The doors here have electronic locks. I had a hard time getting in initially, and later during the stay. Just a heads-up, the lock design is suspect, and the batteries don't always make good contact, or the batteries are dead. Security knows this, and can fix it. So don't panic.
The bed is super firm. Although there's a terrace, most units are facing inner courtyards, so you stare at another unit - so really no view. There's not enough chairs to store your stuff, or a luggage rack. Make sure to bring a power adapter - unlike other places, they don't provide one.
All small nits though. Ultimately, it's clean (super important to me, they actually wipe the floors), modern, and spacious. And the location is great. You've got a Dia and Carrefour close by. Subte stations are within minutes walk. San Telmo is a quick walk. The area is safe, and quiet. The staff is reachable by email, and responsive. Good value.
Recommended, and I will repeat.

Great location and security. The room is very equipped and comfortable except for the bed that was 2 single bad side by side instead of a double bed

Only con; the view was awful (but I wasn't there much so I didn't care)

I'm very glad I stayed here. Not only was the front desk consistently helpful (which I appreciated as I speak limited Spanish), the round-the-clock security assured me it was very safe. The cafe on site also has incredible coffee and pastries. Would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Buenos Aires!

This is my second stay here and it did not start really well as the check-in details were not provided up until I followed up on it. I arrived late in the evening and I had to e-mail them to send the details to me. I was sent the incorrect e-mail and code, so I had to work with the building administration to get in my room on a very late evening. They never clean the room during the stay. I would still acknowledge the fact that the building it pretty safe and walking distance to some attractions. The restaurant at the ground floor serve pretty good breakfast.

People at the lobby do not speak english what makes the check in harder. but I am satisfied with the booking and the property.

A great size studio apartment. The reception of the building does not speak great english so might be a challenge for non spanish speaking guests. I was able to check in earlier which was really great. A lot of restaurants and groceries nearby - walkable to some attractions as well.

Nice apartment in an amazing location just a two minute walk to Plaza de Mayo.

The only thing that I did not like was the fact that the person that took care of my bags when I was waiting for the check in time was openly asking for a tip while I was the one that was moving the bags to the locker room, he was quite rude.

Everything was fine with the apartment. However, upon checkout we had an issue with the building manager related to luggage storage. We waited 40 minutes for the guy to show up and wasted 53 min to store our luggage. There was another couple waiting also.

Nice size, clean, well located. They even let us check-in early after our long flight.

Generally excellent except for the so called double bed was two singles joined by a double sheet/duvet. Was impressed with the four large modern lifts so never had to wait long.

I ended up staying and extending it’s a great value and a very nice place. Secure clean and very nice. The restaurant on the premises which has nothing to do with the room room. Needs some Training but is a good place to eat.
The biggest problem is, they are not maintaining their IT, they have barcodes for English translation that do not work, etc. and all the emails and references are in Spanish. So be prepared to use your Spanish Spanish or translator. It was difficult at first to get made service. It was quite a struggle, but in the end it worked out well.

I’m familiar with this area of Buenos Aires. It is well located for walking everywhere. The building is very nice secure and clean.and new
I intended only to stay a few days, but I ended up staying two weeks.
The only issue I had initially was the check-in was a little difficult. It would be more helpful if they had instructions in English for US and non Spanish speakers. it was a great value and a great place to stay for 15 days.

Good value. Clean, convenient and modern. It’s an apartment rental so while there was good communication online there was no extra help with luggage, storage or housekeeping etc.
