About this apartment rental
Beautiful 2 bedroomed ground floor apartment with one double bedroom with new King size bed and one twin with two bunk beds and a third pull out bed stored underneath (see the pictures), each with fitted wardrobes. Fully equipped kitchen with Wi-Fi, Smart TV, blueray player and docking station in the living area. There is a good selection of English language films, music, books and magazines to suit all ages and tastes . There is a washing machine in the bathroom which has a full size bath with an over bath shower and a separate toilet.
All bed linen, towels etc are provided and the end of stay clean is included in the price.
Large patio with outside seating and table accessed from the living area with an electric BBQ, table and seating for 6 and a couple of sun loungers.
There is outside parking and a secure underground garage with storage for skis and bikes. The town centre with shops,restaurants and bars is 5-10 minutes walk away, with a supermarket 200m from the rear entrance to the apartment block and a take away pizza restaurant 50m away.
The first stop on the blue ski bus route is 100m from the property, so there's always space, even at peak times. The Grand Massif express lift is a 500m picturesque walk away along the river bank but this is best accessed via the free ski bus or by driving to the large free car park at the base of the lift. The whole Grand Massif is accessible from this lift with over 250km of skiing to suit all abilities as well as some of the best off piste skiing in Europe. The nursery slopes in Samoens and Morrillon in particular are ideal for first timers with good intermediate skiing close by. Chamonix, Megeve, Les Gets and Morzine are all no more than an hours drive away.
Samoens is not a typical ski resort. It is an historic French village with a whole host of outdoor activities as soon as the ski season finishes. Forest walks and hiking trails are well signposted and would suit all abilities from casual walkers to extreme hikers and mountaineers. Not to be missed are the numerous picturesque waterfalls around the Cirque du Fer a cheval in Sixt which is a great starting point for casual walks and hiking into the mountains (see some of the pictures).Mountain and road biking (bikes, including electric bikes can be hired locally), canoeing and white water rafting in the Giffre and paragliding are just a few of the other activities available virtually all the year round. There is a cinema in the village which shows a selection of films in French and English and an extensive and well laid out botanical garden extending up the hillside from the village centre. The views from the top are magnificent.

The property was in a lovely location, and was as described. I suspect we were the first family in for a while, because we had to do a bit of cleaning of cobwebs etc but it was generally clean and in good condition with nice touches. The bed was very comfortable, one of the best we have slept on in any rental apartment but the sunloungers looked ready to fall to bits at any moment. Overall we were really happy with it and wouldnt hesitate to return.

This property was presented really well. Clean and tidy with everything you could need. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place. There would only be one piece of non critical feedback that I would give and this was that there was quite a lot of duplicate items such as lots of mugs and wine glasses. We cooked a lot of our own meals and struggled to store the food we bought because of all of the stuff in the cupboards. Had there been less duplicates then we would have had the space we needed. Although I say this, I am not sure it was intentional, but possibly more to do with other guests leaving things and its likely it gets sorted every few weeks or at the end of the season!

We can’t recommend Bridget’s place enough! The chalet is everything it should be: cosy, charming, homely and comfortable. It was lovely to have two sofas in the living space so that we could all relax in the evenings. We made good use of Netflix too so that was great. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we could need. The location of the chalet is perfect. Just a 10 min walk and you are in the middle of Samoens. There are beautiful walks from the doorstep and the location is very peaceful. There is a hut serving pizza just a stone’s throw from the chalet and we can highly recommend. Bridget was a great host and gave us lots of useful info about Samoens/the area. We would absolutely come back again! Thank you for a lovely stay!

This is an excellent self-catering apartment, perfect for summer or winter activities. Very clean, well-appointed, well-equipped. Lovely to be able to gaze at the mountains from either of the sofas in the open plan kitchen living room - complete with Netflix.
King sized very comfortable - this is unusual in a self catering property!
The host, Bridget, was very responsive to queries on email or WhatsApp. It’s in a great location - a neighbourhood over the river from the town, very quiet but only 5 minutes walk to the town.
The kitchen area is very small but equipped well and we ate in most nights. If we revisited places, we would happily stay here again.

Really impressed with this lovely apartment, situated just on the edge of Samoëns, which is a pretty traditional Haute-Savoie town. The Blue Ski bus stop is just across the road for easy access to the Grand Massif gondola. And it’s a 5/10 minute walk into town.
The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved all the sweet alpine touches. But for me the best part was the simply stunning view from the sitting room French windows. We did yoga every morning looking out at the beautiful mountains.
Communication with our host, Bridget, was excellent.
We would definitely love to return.

Short 4 night stay. We had a car and left in large car park at gondala daily which was very convenient, ski bus also just round the corner. Lovely town. Great access to slopes. Property welcoming and homely. Netflix. Thank you.

A lovely apartment, handy for town and close to the ski lifts (via skibus). Beds were comfy (especially study bunkbeds which makes a change!), the kitchen was well appointed, and having Netflix available was appreciated when poor weather kept us in. Highly recommended

Comfortable and well located apartment
We had a lovely week in this cosy apartment, very nice to have a ground floor apartment for us - elderly couple! The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need and is just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Samoens and two minutes from the ski bus stop. We had no trouble with the eccentric toilet!

Everything and more!
We had a fabulous week in this beautiful and superbly equipped apartment. Totally convenient for the Samoens gondola and about a 5 minute walk into town (take the rear gate out of the car park!). The apartment has absolutely everything you’ll need and more. All the beds and pillows are so comfortable we didn’t want to leave! Always tons of hot water for everyone at all times (and a full size bath to soak in after a busy day skiing). It’s all very lovely, and even has Netflix and a huge library of DVD’s should you feel the need. We had a car but the ski bus stops a few meters away so a car is not essential. The surrounding neighbourhood is very alpine and pretty and the garden terrace is an absolute sun trap which was perfect for sores drinks. Thank you Bridget, we’d love to return at some point.

Our Issues with the safe and water were responded to as quickly as the owners could facilitate. The Appartment provides every amenity required. The bath was a nice bonus and kitchen bathroom cupboards are full of all kinds of items and cleaning products. The above head height cooker /grill was a challenge which I mastered using a chair. I found the mattress quite firm but pillows soft and comfortable and furnishings were very warm and comfortable with throws, sheepskins and cushions . All very nice. We had a great stay at the Appartment and loved beautiful Samoens. The appt area was very nice with some noise from chairs scraping periodically from upstairs neighbours and comings and goings of the pizza shop and a lady on an upper floor shouting at people, kids and dog. owners for leaving dog dirt everywhere..can’t blame her .. shocking.! Only advice is rethink the location of the shampoo and bath dispensers they are elbow height and like to jump off the wall and spill - (worried they will crack the bath I took them down during our stay).

A warm Alpine hug
Excellent communication with owner. Perfect setting, cosy with lovely Alpine decor touches. Very well equipped, everything we needed from a hairdryer to a well stocked dvd collection. Love that linen towels and kitchen towels are included, taking bedding with on holiday takes up so much space! The patio was amazing with sun loungers and bbq (we might try next time as the pizza take away within meters from the apartment was so convenient). Great full size bath and lovely living area. Access to sleighs was a bonus as ski lifts were closed due to Covid. Views are beautiful and it’s nice that it is the end unit - view from kitchen of the woods. We loved our stay here.

Décoré avec beaucoup de goût, tout y est des linges de toilette, aux draps, torchons, mais aussi produits vaisselle et lave-linge...
Même si nous avons eu un souci d'eau chaude, celui-ci a vite été résolu après un appel aux propriétaires.
Bref un très agréable séjour !

Samoens est un très joli village, beaucoup d'animations même pour la fin aout. l'appartement est très cosi, la terrasse était très agréable. nous avons eu un petit soucis avec l'eau chaude, la propriétaire ainsi que son équipe sur place ont pu nous trouver une solution altérnative. très bon séjour!!

Lovely apartment in a great location
We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. It is very clean, extremely well-equipped and has the most beautiful view from the terrace. The location is great - it's in a very quiet location and a ten minute walk from the centre of Samoens. There are also plenty of great walks and cycles from the doorstep. Bridget was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Highly recommended.

Fab spot, perfect stay!
We have had the most fantastic stay in Samoens. The property had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, well stocked cupboards, even dog treats! Bess was very impressed!! We loved our morning walks to the bakery by the river in the crisp frosty mornings.

What a find! Booking process was very easy with speedy response from the owner. Key pad entry with easy to follow detailed directions for finding the apartment. The apartment itself is fantastic. We have stayed in ski resorts all over the world and this is one of the best. Great location, not overlooked, easy gentle walk to Samoens centre, ski bus stop, or short drive to GME. Very quiet location ( April) with just the sound of birds and the river. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, very comfy beds, snuggly quilts, fluffy towels, seemingly endless hot water for post skiing showers, but most impressive is how it is kitted out...there was simply everything from hot water bottles to set of scales ( didn’t dare get on them as ate way too much tartiflette!) Plenty of crockery, cooking equipment, and for the Brit traveller kettle and tea pot! Impressed with the number of wine glasses and mugs...none of the standard issue French small ones either! The bathroom even had dispensers with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner....something you expect In a hotel not an apartment....what a thoughtful touch! The kitchen is stocked with what Bridget said were essentials....seriously....there was loads from tea bags, coffee,pasta, rice to stock cubes etc.as well as enough cleaning equipment to keep Kim and Aggie happy!, Lovely south facing balcony which is a suntrap, again kitted out with sun loungers, tables chairs, umbrella etc. The owners have thought of everything for this apartment. It is not the biggest but boy does it pack a punch with how it has been set out and how well equipped it is. This simply added to the enjoyment of our holiday. Without hesitation I recommend Bridget’s apartment. We would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic apartment in a great location
Had a lovely week at Bridget’s apartment. We were a family of 4 skiing in the new year. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped with all you need, plenty of pots, pans, good oven, washer, dishwasher, towels, microwave, fridge etc. Plenty of hot water any time of the day, always warm and cosy, great to return back to after a days skiing. Superb location, only a 5 minute walk into the village where there are some lovely shops and restaurants. We walked to the ski lift each morning, only a 10 minute walk by the water but there are regular shuttle buses which drop off nearby. Would love to return in the summer when apparently there are a wide variety of outdoor activities. Highly recommend the apartment, the location and Bridget, the owner, thank you!

Very comfortable with everything you need for a great week
The apartment is in a great location with a superb pizza take-away hut right outside the building. Great for when the legs are too tired to walk into town. Bridget has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay as easy and as comfortable as possible. Would definitely book again.

Cosy property in heart of Samoens
Cosy apartment within close distance to all the amenities in Samoens - the ski gondola and town centre. Everything you need for a family trip to a beautiful town in the French Alps. We were a family of 3 adults and 2 young children and the apartment was well equipped and of suitable size for us all. Would stay again!

Short stay in Samoens
This was the 6th visit to Samoens, we've stayed at a private chalet, a hotel and other apartments. This was certainly the best yet. The apartment was easy to find, easy parking, nice quiet location, very clean and comfortable, lots of hot water, everything you would need was in the apartment, TV in the lounge and you could log in to your own Netflix. Nice patio area, shame the weather wasn't nice enough to sit out. Small pizzeria (Le Mazot) 25mtrs in front of the apartment, always useful if you don't want to cook and just want to stay in and chill out, Pizzas aren't bad either. First night we thought it was closed and set off driving into the centre only to notice it was actually open. We had to explain that we don't always drive such a short distance to get a Pizza ;-). I would highly recommend staying here, we had a great time in a lovely apartment.

Perfect location and well equipped
We have just returned from a week in this apartment and found it to be in the perfect location both for the village and the gondola. Also the wonderful cheese producer is a short walk away! Everything in the apartment is perfect, it is so well equipped with everything and more that you would need, it is warm and cosy and the views are fantastic. It also has a bath which we found very welcome after a day skiing. Bridget was incredibly helpful and answered all questions promptly. I would highly recommend this place and hope to return in the summertime.

A fantastic discovery
What a beautiful little apartment. It is beautifully appointed and comes with loads of little extras that make the stay truly memorable. The living space a large and airy and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare wonderful home cooked meals. The bedrooms are comfortable and all the linen and towels provided are of really good quality. We had a great weekend skiing, the lift is a 5-10 min walk, and the ski area accessed from there is immense. We will definitely return.

Lovely stay, great location!
Clean and bright apartment with plenty of space for a short break for a couple or small family. Charming, warm and had everything we needed! Very short walk into town and to the blue line ski bus to the main ski lift. Owner responded very quickly to any problems or messages. Would recommend!

Great apartment in a lovely village
Excellent apartment everything you need great location 5 minute walk to village centre , really peaceful great area for both mountain biking and road cycling which my husband and 16 year old son enjoyed the rafting is a must if your brave enough! Lovely walks if you go up the mountain on the chairlift from Morillon the views are amazing on a clear day, if the snow was guaranteed over new year I would definitely be booking again for then.

Amazing Holiday
We stayed at the apartment in Le Sylvania over the Christmas holidays and had a fantastic time. It is beautifully furnished, and felt very Christmassy with the red and alpine decor. The owner had put up twinkly lights and some lovely Christmas touches, including stockings on the bunk beds for my two children. The apartment was spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable for our 2 week holiday. We have stayed in many ski apartments over the years and this is by far one of the most well equipped... I was so happy when I saw a slow cooker - perfect for when you've been out all day!! We cooked a Christmas dinner, and the kitchen was big enough even for the trimmings!
It is located in the perfect position if you are looking for a winter holiday, doing a few additional things to skiing. As we were there for an extended period we were able to really explore the forest trails which are situated just behind the apartment, and our dog was in heaven. Most evenings we would walk the dog into town (just 5 minutes) along the river and enjoy all the festivities in Samoens, which is beautiful especially when lit up with Christmas lights. The ice rink is lots of fun, and there was even a free ice dance show in town!
This year the snow wasn't showing itself to any of the alps, but the Grand Massif did the best they could with what they had. We love the ski area and have returned here most years as the area is extensive and varied. This was our first time staying in Samoens and I would definitely recommend if you have non skiers, dogs, or just want some variety. There is loads to do and it's a really nice town. The apartment is an easy walk along the river to the telecabine or a 2 min drive to the big car park (which we did having 2 young children).
The wifi was fast, the hot water was hot (and didn't run out - unlike some places we have stayed) and the building was quiet, so if you want a relaxing holiday in the alps - book it!

Excellent throughout
Location is excellent: short walk to the village, quiet surrounding, lovely view.
The garden was a big plus as we have 2 small children.
Apartment was very well equipped, from toaster to hairdrier, even found hotwater bottles for the winter!
Beds were comfortable and everything was in working order, the children loved the big chest full of indoor/outdoor games.
Owner is so very on the ball and helpful.
Absolute winner all around.
