Location and buildings were fabulous
1. Disappointed with generosity of in room drinks - only 1 nespresso capsule for 2 of us for 2 days. No tea and no milk.
2. Asked for an iron to iron my shirt. Man went off to get it, never heard from again. Put an iron in every room
3. The upsell was unpleasant. A fried egg for €8, pink champagne +€20 per glass. We recommend caviar with that +€35. I don’t mind paying a lot, but I hate being sold to.

Fantastic hotel and a very memorable meal. Felt completely comfortable as a solo female traveller and the staff in the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

Staff was super helpful, great rooms

Such a beautiful and ancient building. The suite was simple but elegant and had far reaching views across the rooftops. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully presented in the very elegant breakfast room. We would have loved to have had dinner at the hotel but it was not open on the evening of our stay. When we return to St Emilion we will be sure to book again.

We loved the location, ambience, views and amenities.
Nothing.

Everything was brilliant

The only issue was getting to the hotel.I didn’t check my messages the day before arriving because, well I am on holidays. We had some issues finding the hotel, walking on cobblestone hills with all of our luggage. The GPS had us going to a construction site. After about 45 minutes searching some nice man told us how to find the hotel. At that point all was well.

1. Small charming hotel
2. Good food from their restaurant (go for dinner)
3. Really nice staff
We brought heavy suitcases and there were no elevators at the property. The hotel has two entrances, the main one from the street and the other from a steep ramp. If you enter from the main street, you have to climb up 1 flight of stair to the lobby and another 1 flight to the rooms. If you enter from the other side, there's a very steep ramp and you have to climb 1 flight of stair to the rooms. I would suggest guests to pack light when staying at this hotel.

the location couldn’t have been better. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. You must eat at the restaurant - better than most of the Michelin star restaurants we’ve been to in the US and even one we ate at last night in Paris. must stay for foodies.

The rooms are incredibly beautiful and bathroom so massive. Loved the interior, it just added to the whole experience of the stay in St Emillion. location is very central.
If you drive it’s not straight forward to get to. parking is not by the hotel and you need to first get to the closest street to the hotel and go to reception and get directions. it’s a bit overwhelming but actually quite simple. So make sure if driving contact the hotel for instructions on where to stop first.

The location was excellent
The breakfast could have included a cooked alternative. Our bathroom also had an ongoing smell, we were only there for one night so didn’t think it was necessary to mention!
