About this apartment rental
Escape the crowded cities and come relax in our welcoming 1927 Spanish-style studio, located right in the heart of the Pier Bowl. Experience all that the 'Spanish Village by the Sea' has to offer as you stumble across unique and charming shops or unwind on the stunning beaches.
This studio apartment has a full bed, living room, fire place, bathroom, kitchenette, and gas grill located outside.
You'll be located right in historic downtown, so most of the things you'll want to do are just a short walk away. Just around the corner is Avenida Del Mar, a street full of restaurants and shops to visit. If you're lucky enough to be there on Sunday, there is a farmers market and vendors are out rain or shine from 9am-1pm. The first Sunday of each month, along with the farmers market, is an art and crafts fair from 9am-4pm where you can purchase and view art, crafts, and other creative items. Two main attractions in San Clemente are the pier and beach, where you can enjoy a nice meal, a stroll, some fishing, and amazing coastline views. If you are looking to surf, this is the place to be. If you venture further south, you will find Lower Trestles, which is a world class surf spot 3 mi from the house. Here are some other things that you may be interested in:
- Dana Point Harbor (shopping, dining, deep sea fishing, as well as kayak, sail boat, and jet ski rentals): 7 mi
- San Clemente Aquatic Center: 7 mi
- Crystal Cove State Park: 17 mi
- Balboa Island Ferry: 27 mi
- Disneyland/California Adventure: 36 mi
- Sea World San Diego: 56 mi
For your convenience, we provide beach umbrellas, towels, and chairs.
This studio apartment is an annex above our main vacation rental home. If additional space is required, they may be rented together.

Property is in a fantastic location that makes getting to the beach a breeze. The unit itself is cozy but might be considered a bit tight - nonetheless it has the essentials that let you get comfy when you return after a day out.
Without AC, it can get a bit warm though a fan is provided and keeping the windows open helps bring the temperature down in the evening.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful place. Location is great and the place itself has a lot of character. Very cozy interior with a lot of attention to detail. We both loved it.

This upper part of the house is a quaint little place. It’s located in a great spot just a couple blocks from downtown shops and restaurants and then about 4 blocks the other direction is the ocean, pier and a few places to eat. Do know it’s very hilly so will be doing a workout in both directions. The room itself is comfortable but very small. The bed is comfortable as well, but tiny very tiny - a small full at best. Parking is pretty bad. There is parking on both sides of the road but rarely an open spot. We ended up parking down the hill at metered spots that were free in the evening but you had to pay after 9:00am. This is a nice rental for a young couple not used to larger spaces and ready to explore by foot.

This is a cozy place very close to the main shops of San Clemente. You can not see the ocean from the place, but the walk to the beach is short and pleasant. It is also close enough to walk to either of San Clemente's train stations. We were visiting friends and it worked out perfectly. It is very reasonably priced, clean, nice kitchen area, lots of light, and classic San Clemente style. We rent with VRBO a lot. One plus here was how friendly and quick the owner was to respond to the reservation and any questions.

My husband and I had a great time in San Clemente and this upstairs apartment was a perfect place to stay. We were just a short walk from the pier and the beach and lots of little local restaurants. The apartment included beach chairs and an umbrella so we didn't have to pack our own. The big windows let in lots of beautiful light and a refreshing breeze and the furnishings were all clean and cozy.
The owner was very helpful and answered all of our questions and the apartment was such a great bargain, we even had change left over to order the shark dinner down at The Fisherman's Restaurant at the pier. Very yummy. We really hope we can come back and stay again soon.

We had such a great experience at this charming and inviting Spanish Style studio! It was clean, cozy, and had plenty of room for the two of us. Perfect location to walk right down to the beach and all around town. On Sunday there was even the San Clemente farmers market going on! We felt right at home and really didn't want to leave. The owner also helped us out with the parking situation which was nice. We highly recommend this rental & will be back!
