Coromandel Homestead is a relaxing, expansive country home, set within 2.5 acres of established gardens. The property sleeps 12 across two dwellings. Coromandel Homestead is on the doorstep of Berrima town and is within easy driving distance of the Bendooley Estate (and other wedding venues). It is the perfect getaway for a group of family or friends!

- Coromandel Cottage was lovingly built as the 'baby' to Coromandel Lodge. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom stylish cottage has its own outdoor bath!

Where will I be?
Coromandel Homestead is located down a quiet cul de sac, gravel road, right on the doorstep of Berrima town. It is a short 3 minute drive to the local pub or a selection of shops and cafes - and is also within easy driving distance of the Bendooley Estate (5 minutes), and other wedding venues. Bowral and Moss Vale are an easy and very scenic 10 minute drive away.

How is the property laid out?
Coromandel Lodge is a single level home and offers all of the following to guests:
Bedrooms - all bedrooms have wall heaters, an abundance of pillows and fine linens. The large air-conditioned master bedroom has a king bed, smart TV, dressing table, ensuite and dressing room. The queen room has a pretty queen bed, and the shared bathroom is just across the hallway. The twin room has two king single beds. Great for children but these beds are large enough and comfortable enough for adults to sleep soundly too. It has the shared bathroom across the hall. The petite bedroom contains a king single + trundle. Please note this bedroom is smaller and is accessed by walking through the master ensuite. It is best suited to children or a single adult.
Three communal spaces - the grand lounge room (affectionately known as the Coromandel great room) has picture windows, a high vaulted ceiling and magnificent sandstone open fire-place. There is a second living area next to kitchen with wood burning stove and Smart TV, books and games. Finally, there is a third indoor-outdoor living room where you can still enjoy the outdoors whilst sheltered from the weather.
Kitchen, dining, laundry - the large, air-conditioned dining hall has a table that seats up to 14, with wall to ceiling windows overlooking the expansive gardens. There is also a well-equipped kitchen (with Nespresso coffee machine and quality kitchen implements). The fully equipped internal laundry has a third toilet, washer, dryer and second refrigerator.
Coromandel Cottage has a mezzanine design. The living areas and master bedroom are downstairs. The queen room is located on the mezzanine above the living area. It is a romantic spot with a queen bed under the vaulted ceiling, a vintage privacy screen to change, and windows above the bed that allow the sunshine to gently wake you should you wish. It is accessed via staircase and has a second bathroom with shower at the bottom of the stairs. Please note that the stairs are somewhat steep, so this space is not suited everyone, particularly the elderly or children.
The open plan lounge, dining, kitchen area has everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen and a coffee machine.
The main king bedroom is on the ground level and has a fantastic outside bathtub, with privacy screening.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
Coromandel Homestead has good WiFi throughout so that working from home is normally hassle free.
Please note however that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Coromandel Homestead's park-like garden was planted almost half a century ago. It is a special place that changes with the seasons and has abundant birdlife, kangaroos who often visit at dawn and dusk, and rabbits scampering about the lawns.
Both the Lodge and the nearby Cottage have their own fire pits with Adirondack chairs. The are also BBQ facilities, a French outdoor dining setting and other seating areas to enjoy.
Tennis rackets and balls are provided for the clay tennis court - enjoy!
The dams on the property are fenced, but please take care around them and always be snake aware. Swimming is not permitted in the dams and children must be supervised at all times.
Staying warm or keeping cool!
In the Lodge:
For keeping warm, all bedrooms have wall heaters. In addition, one living area has a fireplace, and another a wood burning stove.
For staying cool, there is air conditioning in the main living and dining area, as well as in the master bedroom. The home can also be opened up to catch any breeze, and for that purpose, the large indoor/outdoor verandah has floor to ceiling insect screening.
In the Cottage:
For keeping warm, Coromandel Cottage has a wood burner and air conditioning. For keeping cool, the cottage can be opened up to the fresh air, or you have the use of air conditioning.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and towels are provided at Coromandel Homestead.
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is parking on the driveway areas close to the buildings for up to 7 vehicles.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Yes, Coromandel Homestead is dog friendly on request only, subject to the following policies:
- Guests must note that the property is not fully fenced
- Only small, house trained dogs are permitted
- Please do not leave your dog unattended at the house or outdoors. The yard is not fenced and this is to protect your dog and native wildlife that are present on the property
- Guests must advise the bookings team that they are bringing their small dog
- Please bring your own bedding and supplies, clean up appropriately (both indoors and out), and keep all pets off furniture and beds
- Dogs must be free of fleas/pests and in good health
- Cats and other animals are not allowed due to the wildlife in our gardens
- If there are any damages or extra cleaning charges from your stay, you will be charged accordingly
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
