The property was everything it’s billed out to be. Private secluded safe absolutely amazing place to stay. I originally picked this location just to be out of the craziness of the city, have had some bad luck with vehicles being broke into and even a couple stolen. I had no clue how great this stay would be. Sit on the back porch in the morning drink your coffee and watch the bison grazing a couple hounded yard away, feed the fish and just relax. What a great place

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. The kitchen is well apportioned, with plenty of mugs, silverware, dishes, and all utensils and pots/pans that you could need. The feel is rustic, but chic. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return. We saw the bison each day while drinking our coffee on the porch. The fishing was good, we caught several 1-2 lb bass. The fish off the back porch (along with the turtles) are fun to watch — there are some HUGE catfish that hang out there! Also, WiFi was excellent, so if you needed to catch up on work or video calls, you would not have an issue — the only issue is that you won’t WANT to call in!

We enjoyed our time at Masters Lake! It was so peaceful to sit/stand on the deck and watch the fish and early morning watching the herd of buffalo.

Our family booked both the Masters Cottage and Cabin for the second time for an annual family trip. We were blown away once again by this place’s beauty and charm. We spent 4 days here enjoying the scenery, wildlife, fishing, and family time. Both homes have everything you need plus more! Each family member gave it 5 stars. We will definitely be back for our annual trip and likely others trips.

This is our second trip to this hidden gem in Boerne. Relaxing, peaceful, cleanliness, and breathtaking landscape, nature and wildlife are just a few reasons we love staying here.
Richard, the property manger, is so helpful, timely, and courteous.
We cannot wait to schedule our next visit!

This was our second time here and it was even better than we remembered. If you like peace and tranquility in the Texas Hill Country there is no better place. Very well appointed house on a private lake stocked with fish… caught many bass right off the porch. The herd of buffalo made an appearance one day that was unforgettable. We will definitely be back, yet again, to enjoy this slice of Heaven. Thank you Richard for allowing us to enjoy this awesome property of yours.

This place was a perfect week get away. There are bison roaming the property as well as a herd of deer. No really a herd of deer, we counted 32 on one evening running together. The bass fishing was great right from the backyard. We caught several 2-3 pounders and one 4 pound largemouth. We also fished the creek one day catching several 1-2 pound largemouths. The cabin itself is perfect for a couples get away. The shower was tall person compliant for my fellow skyscrapers. Everything in the kitchen worked and well stocked as well as the outdoor grill. The TV's have more channels then you could sort through and our fire stick for watching our shows worked fine. The WIFI worked just fine as well. The host was quick to reply to the couple of questions we had and even checked on us mid-stay.

We continue to come back year after year to this amazing property, every time there is something new to see. Our favorite part is the view and the fire pit. The back porch is our spot for coffee or wine. Book this place you will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Richard for sharing your amazing hidden gem with us.

This is our 3rd time to visit and we anxiously await our trip every year. I loved reading on the back porch and watching ducks fly in and land. My husband and I caught around 40 bass; needless to say, it's a fisherman's paradise!

This is our third time to stay at this lovely cabin. The minute the gate opens you begin to relax as you drive down the picturesque driveway. The cabin is just as it is pictured and the kitchen is well equipped compared to many rentals. I had planned to bake a cheesecake while there to take to a family gathering the next day and realized too late I forgot to bring a mixer. Not to worry, they had one! Saved the day! All this to say, please don’t rent this cabin because we want to be sure it’s free the next time we need a restorative relaxing getaway. 😌

We truly enjoyed our time at the Masters Lake Cottage and Cabin. We got to take advantage of outdoor cooking and some good fishing. The bison and Axis deer were beautiful to view on this little slice of heaven. We had 8 all together and we fit comfortably with the two houses. We would definitely recommend this place for families looking to enjoy the great outdoors. We will be back!

One of the best places we've stayed at. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. The only neighbors were the bison, deer, egrets, turkey vultures. The back porch was so relaxing. Having a natural aquarium where you can feed the bass, catfish, bluegill and turtles was a delight. My wife and I would definitely return. Richard was great to deal with!!! Loved the nearby caves and Blackboard Barbecue is a MUST.

Beautifully peaceful, with a little wildlife thrown in for excitement. We absolutely loved it! We liked it so much that we just had to experience it in the winter months as well, so before we left we made sure to book it again for the coming December.❤️

Beautiful property, the perfect size for my husband and I. He enjoys fishing & I enjoy porch-sitting, so it was ideal for both of us!
We were welcomed by a beautiful sunset and greeted by the herd of buffalo the next morning. Coffee on the back porch, while feeding HUGE catfish and bass and watching deer across the lake and birds also. Buffalo wandered around the lake for a while, liked watching them (from a distance!) Sad that we forgot our binoculars.
Our son and his family drove out from San Antonio late in the morning to join us for the day. All who tried to catch fish were successful! Five grandkids, ranging in age from 8 to 18, enjoyed themselves tremendously. We found the second bathroom with exterior entrance very helpful, as well as the outdoor shower head.
Only have two regrets - no binoculars and we only stayed two night!

We stayed at this place last year. Both for Anniversary get-aways. We Loved it so much the first time,we just knew we had to try and stay again.
The house is Always immaculate and the huge king bed is very cumfy. There isn’t a ceiling fan in the bedroom but both times we have brought a box fan and it is fine. The property is so quiet the only noise you will hear is the fish flopping around in the water. We fished every evening until dusk. And had picnics on the deck.
Buffalo, deer and turkey roam the property.
You will Love it here. We did not want to leave♥️

We had a great 5 day stay. Loved the front porch and pit. Wildlife was enjoyable. If there was any downside it was in the mornings when we preferred to sleep in there were some activities outside the cabin that woke us before 8 am.
We did enjoy our time there and would return. Richard was prompt with response to questions when we had tv issues. We are not real TV tech savvy. Quick fix.
Kitchen is well equipped and fridge with icemaker was nice to have. The outside bathroom and showers were great when we were sitting by fire or when primary bath was in use. Really nice place, would recommend to any couple wanting a get away. Close to town for restaurants and shopping. Thanks Richard.

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Even though you are a few minutes from town it felt like we were in our own sanctuary. My husband fished off of the deck each day while I enjoyed reading in the beautiful outdoor living space. On our morning walk around the property we were able to see the bisons and their babies along with the beautiful deer. We had a visit each day from Mr. Armadillo who was just wandering around. A must stay if you are ready for some quiet alone time.

If you are looking for a place with a lot of activities, attractions and water sports this is not for you. That said, it was absolutely perfect for us. Quiet, private, peaceful, serene, relaxing, great accommodations, clean, perfect. This was out first stay but certainly won't be the last. And Richard is very responsive and a fantastic host

Peaceful Retreat
We needed a relaxing getaway and this really did the trick! We had so much fun feeding and watching the fish and turtles. Our evening hikes were filled with watching buffalo and deer graze on the property. If you want more to do there are great horseback trail rides nearby, tons of very unique shops in Boerne, the city lake with paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming and much more. I couldn't get enough of just sitting in the peace and quiet by the lake. Can't wait to come back!

Glorious!
We stayed 4 nights at this lake house and we did not want to leave.
The place is immaculate! Property is well kept. We sat on the deck or under the party lights every night. Bison and deer roam the land.( we even saw a baby Bison right after it was born) My husband fished every morning and every evening. The lake has turtles, bass, perch and some huge black catfish. We fed them every day. It is all just so peaceful.
We highly recommend this place.
