Covering about 7 square miles, Woahink Lake's drainage basin lies between a dune complex, part of Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, on the west and foothills of the Oregon Coast Range on the east. U.S. Route 101 runs along the west side of the lake. Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park borders the northwest corner of the lake, and the unincorporated community of North Beach lies between Woahink and Siltcoos lakes. My family and I decided to see if we could find a place that we liked that would allow us to bring our Boston terrier and that has a nice dock to spend time on out in the sun as the other place that we LOVE staying at doesn't allow dogs. We liked this place ok enough that we'd consider renting again. However, I was disappointed in that fact that the shades were not working correctly. One shade always went opposite what the other shades did as they were controlled by a remote. This meant that the view of the lake was obstructed by one shade the entire time. For me the view is paramount! That's one reason I'm willing to pay for a house on the lake with lake access. The bath on the main level was situated next to a bedroom but did not have a shower. The other 2 bathrooms with showers are located IN the 2 bedrooms downstairs. Privacy could be an issue. If you are a person that has difficulty with handling stairs this in not the place for you as there are quite a few stairs. Coupling that with the stairs down to the dock may feel overwhelming if you aren't up for them. We were fine and able enough to navigate them all.

The view, location, environment, and overall experience was exactly what we were looking for. Our entire family has been on the go all Summer with projects and moving. We all needed a relaxing getaway and we got just that at the lake house. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this spot!

This home was beautiful, clean with great modern appliances. The kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed the sunsets over the lake in the evenings and kayaking and swimming there during the day. A large game room complete with several game was available for our use. We would definitely recommend this place for a family or a small group.

We would have loved our stay had the hot tub been better maintained. Two of our party went to the ER twice with painful skin infections - cellulitis and mastitis - that had to be treated with antibiotics. I asked for my ER copay to be reimbursed but did not hear back from the host. I had asked the host to have the hot tub treated for bacteria, so I could be sure that the antibiotic given was appropriate (it wasn’t, and later had to be changed,) but instead of testing for bacteria, they just cleaned and refilled the tub. I am incredibly disappointed and would not recommend staying here.

My family and I had a truly amazing and memorable stay at this property. 5 stars across the board! The view simply can't be beat. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've ever slept in in our lives. Almost every morning we were greeted by the darling sight of a cute little forest bunny eating outside the master bedroom's window. The neighborhood was ideal for our daily walks with our dog. And the internet was lightning fast, making streaming, downloading, and any work from home tasks a breeze. The decor was perfect, the kitchen a joy to cook and bake in, and, as always, the host, Jim, was wonderful to work with. I would love to come back here for another trip, perhaps by then the kayaks will be available and we'll be able to enjoy some time on the lake; that would be a dream come true. I would recommend a welcome book just to cover the basics like where the garbage cans are supposed to go to get picked up and what the remote near the thermostat is for (we never quite figured that out), but all in all it's an incredible property, beautifully set up, and we felt very fortunate to spend part of our vacation there. Thank you for the memories!
